He's my best friend

It has become necessary for them all to stay in one place if they don’t want Lincoln to kill them all.

“I can only protect you guys if you all agree to stay here in my house,” Alex said.

They turned to look at each other without saying a word.

“But I can’t stay here!” Jack said and Clara move to his side, placing her left hand on his chest and playfully drawing a line on his chest. “What are you doing” Jack whispers as Alex and others look on.

“I want you to stay” she whispers back, “Lincoln might come for you and there will be no one to help”

She keeps tracing the hairs on Jack's chest, he was putting on a long sleeve shirt and button-down the shirt revealing most parts of his chest.

Alex just rolls his eyes and then clears his throat. “She’s right Jack, you have to stay with us, that is the only way we can survive this”

Pat was dumbstruck “she could only stare at Clara and Jack “what are those two doing?” she ask herself.

Jack agreed and Alex show each of them their room, but he was not happy with Clara.

He went and knock on her door when everyone has settled down.

“Can I come in?” he asked but no answer. “Clara, can I come in”

“What do you want?”

“I just want to talk,” Alex said still standing outside her door waiting for permission.

Clara opens the door letting him in.

“What!” Clara asks because she already knows why he’s here.

“Can I at least sit down”

“If you like,” she said and went to sit down.

Alex sat down but wasn’t saying anything.

“Are you just going to sit there and stare at me without saying anything?” Clara ask.

“We are not the only ones here now,” Alex said not knowing how to begin.

“I will like you to stay away from Jack, at least for now until this is over”.

“Really? why don’t you do that with Sandra? I saw you kissing her yesterday”

“Is different Clara, how do you think it makes me feel seeing you with Jack! He’s my best friend!”

“So what are you saying? I should leave him because he’s your friend? Look, I love him and he loves me too, I thought we've gone past this”

Alex inhaled and exhaled “That’s not what I’m saying, don’t embarrass me in front of all my friends, that’s what I’m saying,” referring to what Clara did in front of them.

Jack sat up in his room thinking about what happened early and the look on Alex's face, the scar on his face makes Alex look more deadly.

“Why did Clara do that? Is she trying to let everyone know about us? I will like that too but it seems Alex doesn’t like it, that is why I don’t like to stay here, I prefer to be in my own house.”

“I’m not embarrassing you, Alex, I only wanted him to stay”

“By rubbing his chest in that way in front of everyone?” he said because he saw the way Pat and Brian looked at them with a surprised look.
