Chapter 38

Alex new that Clara is saying the truth, but he refused to accept the truth. He wants to be selfish with Sandra, he doesn't want to let her go even though one part of him is saying let her go the other part is saying hold on to her maybe there's going to be a way.

“Remember they’ve choosing a wife for you Alex, there's no way you're going to have Sandra and for your information don't sleep with her”

“But why?”

“There's going to be a reaction if you do”

 “What kind of reaction?”

 “That girl is pure, if you do they're going to go after her” Clara said and Alex remember Sandra telling him the she is still a virgin.

“Do you mean she's a virgin?”

“You don't know?” Clara ask but Alex didn’t answer.

“Please help me Clara, what do I do? I love her so much”

“What do you want me to do for you?”

“I want to be with Sandra but I don’t want her to die, when I was taking that oath I  understand that if I sleep with any other woman that she is going to die. I'm so afraid for Sandra I love her so much what do I do now? please help me” Alex almost going on his knees.

“Hmmm, let me see what I can do for you, remember when I said you can only have fun with her, I mean that I have done it before with the help of this” she hand Alex a hand bangle.

“What’s this?”

It help you have fun without be notice by mum and dad.

“What?”

“Yes, there’s this guy I love in my school days, and I got to date him all through our school days without been notice because I was afraid after taking the oath.

So I got this from a woman I met in one of the meeting I attended with mum, she saw me crying and I told her everything and then she helped me with this saying that the same thing happened to her.

“So you mean if I use this Sandra will be safe?”.

“Yes, but you can’t marry her, so don’t promise her marriage”.

Alex keeps staring at the hand band wondering if he is doing the right thing, he wanted to let Sandra go but one part of him is too selfish to let her go. He wanted to use the hand band but how will Sandra feel? “Surely this is very wrong, maybe I just have to tell her the truth and end this”.

Alex went back to Sandra with the hand band partly happy and partly sad, he was still weighting the option of using the hand band on Sandra.

“Have you eaten?”

“No”

Let me get you something to eat” he went to the kitchen and a maid brought in some food.

“All this for me?” Sandra ask.

“Yes, enjoy yourself”

“No, am not eating”

“Why?”

“I will eat if you eat with me”

“Ok, I will eat with you” Alex ate for the first time since they came back.

Hmmm, thank you Sandra” he said.

“Why are you thanking me?, I should be the one thanking you”
