Chapter 23

“Fine” Alex said and went with his parents back into the room”

 The man asked Alex. “Are you ready?”

“Yes” and his parents nod in agreement.

The man asked Alex to say after him and he did  everything he ask. Then they went out of the room.

“You see? Is simply, nothing much” his father said but Alex wasn’t happy about the whole thing.

 “He didn’t know that his parents belongs to some kind of society but whatever they are doing there he has no understanding of it. he was just following orders.

 After they are done the man invite them for dinner and they visited the man’s house.

 “Welcome” his wife said running around serving drinks and food but Alex refused to eat. He was so unhappy.

“Is this your son?”

 The man’s wife ask.

“Yes, this is my son, he just graduated from the University” Alex mother said smiling at him.

 “Wow.. I’ve never seen this one before, you are welcome my son”

 Alex only nods his head.

They brought drinks for him but he refused to drink.

“What is wrong with you Alex? why  are you behaving like a kid.” Clara ask.

“Enough, don't talk to me. I don't want to hear you talk to me” Alex warns Clara because he was still angry with her.

“Leave him alone” his mother said. But just then a very beautiful girl walked in and the man said to Alex father.

“This is my daughter the one I was telling you about”

 “Really! she's so beautiful” they all smile at her except Alex.

 “Yeah, she is”. The girl came near, greet them one after the other and walk away.

Since Alex has refused to eat or drink his mum asked him to wait outside and he walked away.

 “Why is he so angry?” the man asks his father.

“Don’t mind my son he’s just that way”

“Ok, I hope you’ve told him about my daughter because if he’s going to take that position then he’s going to marry my daughter”

“That’s not a problem, that is why we are here” his father said.

“Alright” they drink and laugh but Alex was very, very unhappy.

Going back home, Alex went to his room, throw himself on the bed and keep looking at the ceiling. He brought out his phone and saw 25 missed calls it was Sandra.

 He thought of calling her back but remember what he saw today.

He dropped his phone, and was about to dive into the dreamland when Sandra called again.

He picks the call but couldn't say anything.

“Hello, Alex… Alex are you there? Alex..”. She keeps calling but he was just listening without saying anything.

“What is going on? is he not hearing me? maybe is the network” she cut the call.

Alex keeps staring at Sandra’s number and he didn’t know when tears fell from his eyes. he loves Sandra so much he didn’t want to lose her, but from what he’s seeing it's like Sandra will not fit into his world.

 “Clara was right, Sandra will not fit into my world.”
