Chapter 13 Plans change

“Guy why are you so moody? This is the first time am seeing you like this” Brian ask Alex.

“Am fine, I just needed to be somewhere right now”

“Are you serious? You are leaving me here alone?”

“No, call Jack, I will be back in a minute, order anything you want I will pay when I come back” that’s my man.. Brian hail and call Jack while Alex left to see Sandra.

“Hey… what are you doing here? I wasn’t expecting you” Sandra said smiling at Alex but he wasn’t smiling.

“Is anything wrong?”

“Yes.. I mean no, I just want to tell you that you don’t need to see me off again to the airport”

“Is anything wrong?”

“No nothing, but Sandra..” Alex held her hand, he wanted to tell her not to wait for him again but instead he said. “Can we spend time together today… you know I will be leaving tomorrow”

“But you said is two weeks from now”

“Yes I did but plans change”

“Oh.. I see”

“Yea, that is why I want us to spend time together”

“Ok but my mum.. they will look for me”

“I will bring you back before they start looking for you”

“Ok, let me change my clothes”

“No..no..no.., I’m ok with this, let’s go”

Alex took Sandra to a restaurant where they drink, talk and laugh and ask each other questions.

“So you are leaving tomorrow?” Sandra ask.

“Yes”

“When will I see you again”

“Emmm…emmm. Well I don’t know yet but very soon”

“Very soon? You don’t have a specific time?”

“Look, I will come back for you, I have fallen for you I can’t help it” he held Sandra’s hands and squeeze it, she felt some shocking sensation and withdrew her hands from Alex.

“What?, is anything the matter?” Alex ask holding her hand again.

“There is something I want to tell you”. Sandra fix her eyes on Alex  “Ok, what is it?”

“I…I…I.....”

“You what?” she ask seeing that Alex was finding it difficult to say whatever he wanted to say.

“I love you so much, please wait for me” he said instead of telling her not to wait.

Sandra swallowed..., “I.. I.. love you too, and I promise to wait for you”

“Thank you” Alex said not knowing if he did the right thing, he is here to tell Sandra not to wait for him but instead he find himself doing the opposite.

“Oh.. what is wrong with me?” he feels like beating himself.

“Can you spend the night with me?” he finds himself asking.

“What!” Sandra shouted, she nearly jump out of her seat making Alex wonder what is wrong with her, “Is this the first time she is hearing this?”

“You want me to do what?”

“Are you afraid of me?”

“No, that’s not want I mean”

“Is ok, I understand, you are still trying to get used to me right?”

“Yes”

“Ok, I see” Alex thought there is no harm in trying, he is not the type to beg girls, he was used to them begging him.

“Where is Alex?” Jack asked when he arrived.
