Chapter 28

TIMERANTE'S POV

"No!"

I held Sonja tightly as a mournful roar escaped from the depths of me. Why did it have to bring my inner nightmare to life like this?

Despite my promise to protect her, she was still gravely injured because of me.

"Guards! Cut those ten werewolves into pieces and feed them to the dogs!"

My anger took control, commanding my body.

The guards who had already left the palace rushed back in, following my orders.

At that moment, I heard the assailant's arrogant laughter. "Timerante, I regret not killing you with my own hands, but taking away those you care about is just as satisfying. You will suffer for eternity! You'll spend the rest of your life regretting everything you have done to my princess! And this is the punishment for harming our Princess Faye!"

I picked up Sonja, kicked him down, and finally noticed the dagger in his hand.

Its shape and size matched the wounds on the bodies of the missing members of The Dark Pack.
