A Tall Order

Casey needed to make this special if he was going to do it. Like he was a normal person. 

He looked into antique engagement rings on the sly, remembering how much Vera had loved the locket he gave her for Valentine's Day. He would need to find something that suited her tastes but was still affordable. 

This was a tall order. He scoured countless websites before he found something he thought would work. A square diamond with little diamond chips on both sides that was made in 1920. 

With that taken care of, he had to figure out how and when to do this. It had to be romantic but he had never been very good at things like that. 

There were plenty of beaches in Monterey. Maybe he could do it there? Beaches were supposedly romantic. Sunsets too. A beach at sunset could work. He could totally do this!
