What Is Love

"I love him."

Chu Hua's eyes widened and she almost fell off the bed. That was definitely not what she was expecting.

Upon facing this question, a normal woman would immediately say no. Who would have thought that Elena wouldn't follow the normal route and choose to answer differently?

Lu Chenjun's eyes also widened when he heard what Elena said. Lu Chenjun felt his heartbeat quicken, and he fought back the urge to run straight into the room.

At this moment, Lu Chenjun was certain about his decision. He didn't need two days.

Just like how he was waiting for Chu Hua to tell him the truth, he was also waiting for Elena to tell him her true feelings. He just didn't know what his heart wanted.

Lu Chenjun walked into his office and closed the door behind him. His heart was still beating abnormally fast when he sat down and closed his eyes.

It was as if something clicked in his mind.

'I am so stupid. How did I not realize this earlier?'

Lu Chenjun's first reaction was to call Grandpa Li. He needed to tell Grandpa Li about his decision.

Elena stood up and moved the suitcase close to the door.

"If you have nothing else to say, I ask you to get out of my room."

Chu Hua was still in shock about what Elena had said. Was she lying? Chu Hua obediently stood up and left the room. A gust of wind flew past behind her, causing her hair to blow from it. Elena had shut her door.

Chu Hua angrily walked back into her guest room. At least she said what she wanted to say to Elena. There was no way Elena could stay so confident and unmoved by Chu Hua's words. She's probably acting.

Chu Hua's mood lightened a bit at her own reassurance.

"Hello, Grandpa Li. I'm sorry for calling you at such a late time. I made my decision."

Grandpa Li couldn't hide his surprise, "Really! That was quick, is it Chu Hua?"

Lu Chenjun frowned upon hearing Chu Hua's name. He had heard how Chu Hua talked to Elena. From what he knew, Chu Hua never talked like that nine years ago.

"No, it's not."

Grandpa Li gasped as he sat up straight in his bed, "Really?"

Although Grandpa Li had guessed and hoped that Lu Chenjun would choose Elena, he was still astonished by Lu Chenjun's firm response.

"What happened?"

Lu Chenjun leaned back comfortably in his chair. It seemed as if a huge weight had been lifted from his heart. He felt much more relaxed and carefree.

"I think my heart changed in these nine years. If Chu Hua hadn't changed, I might still have some feelings for her. However, she is a completely different person now and I am also a completely different person. It's time for me to actually put down the past and move on."

Lu Chenjun angrily slapped his knee, "I'm so mad I didn't figure this out earlier. I'm so stupid!"

Grandpa Li laughed and looked at his wife, who was already sleeping at his side.

"I am a hundred percent certain that I don't like Chu Hua anymore."

Grandpa Li cut in, "Are you a hundred percent certain that you like Elena?"

"Yes, I am." Lu Chenjun paused and asked, "Grandpa Li, for you, what does love feel like?"

Grandpa Li looked at his wife again and said, "Love? For me, it's when you are extremely happy and excited when you see that person. When you don't see her, you miss her, you get frustrated, and you can't wait to see her again. You are happy when she is happy, and you are sad when she is sad."

Grandpa Li smiled, "She basically holds the string connected to your heart. She will be the only person that could move it."

Lu Chenjun smiled, "Thank you. I am going to go. I still have a few things to do. Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

Lu Chenjun hung up and put his phone into his pocket. There was still one thing preventing him from reaching the owner of his heart's string.

He looked at the clock, it was only 8:30. Although Lu Chenjun realized that it was getting late, he couldn't wait anymore.

He took big steps out of his office and he knocked on Chu Hua's door.

"What do you want?" Chu Hua didn't expect Lu Chenjun to come at this time, and she thought it was Jin Yinghui. Her face immediately changed when she saw Lu Chenjun and her voice rose a few pitches.

"Chenjun, what are you doing here at this time?"

Lu Chenjun's face darkened a bit as he walked into Chu Hua's room. This was the first time he visited Chu Hua's room since she came.

Chu Hua quickly straightened her clothes and let her hair down. Was Lu Chenjun going to ask her to be his girlfriend? But this was not a good time to!

Lu Chenjun sat down on the one person couch and eyed Chu Hua carefully as she climbed onto the edge of the bed, her legs hanging off the side.

Lu Chenjun crossed his legs and said, "Chu Hua, I have something to discuss with you."

Chu Hua tried to control her excitement as she nodded.

"You should move out."

Chu Hua's smile disappeared as she waited for Lu Chenjun to explain himself, "What? I'm Chu Hua!"

"I know who you are."

Chu Hua began to get nervous and she walked over to the couch, sitting down on the armrest, "Chenjun, what do you mean? Are you getting another house for me?"

Lu Chenjun's face turned even darker and he got off from the couch, keeping a distance from Chu Hua. How did he not realize how bad of a person Chu Hua was earlier? He knew why she came back, but he wanted to give Chu Hua a chance to change. Not going to happen.

"No, you shouldn't stay in this house. I have a girlfriend. You can choose; go live in the old house I built for you down the road, or go find a hotel."

Upon hearing that the reason was because of Jin Yinghui, Chu Hua got even angrier. She jumped off the couch and closed in the distance between her and Lu Chenjun.

"What do you mean you have a girlfriend? You said you were going to break up with her."

Lu Chenjun moved towards the door, "I'm not breaking up with her, but I think it's best if I cut ties with you. We all changed, Chu Hua. Nine years is a long time, and you are no longer the Chu Hua I know and I liked. I'm also not the same person I was nine years ago. We are not meant for each other."

Chu Hua ran over and held Lu Chenjun's arm, "Don't leave yet. I don't understand, why did you suddenly change your mind? Did that evil witch tell you something? She's lying, you can't listen to that b****!"

Lu Chenjun pushed Chu Hua's arm off and glared at her warningly.

"Do not call her a b****. The only b**** here is standing right in front of me."

"Did you hear something?" Chu Hua asked, wondering if her conversation earlier with Jin Yinghui had been overheard by Lu Chenjun.

Lu Chenjun paused and said, "The walls have ears."*

Chu Hua froze but her hand still held on tightly to Lu Chenjun, "You heard? Chenjun, that's not what I meant. That vixen told me to say everything, she just likes you for your money. That's it!"

Lu Chenjun froze. It seemed like if he didn't explain everything fully, Chu Hua would never give up. He walked back to the couch and sat down calmly.

Chu Hua relaxed a little as she nonchalantly locked the door.

"Chu Hua, why did you come back?"
