Tang Jun

The guy who appeared before her was the person who she met a few hours ago. The only difference from before was, he was no longer wearing a patient's robe, but instead was wearing a coat and tie, slacks and brown leather shoes. His overall look made him look even more handsome than before. Lisa couldn't help but look at the man with a stunned expression. Jun who saw Lisa together with Karla and coupled with the fact he suspected Lisa to be an aspiring writer, Jun was able to deduce what was happening.

'So she wasn't an aspiring writer, she's a professional.' While Jun was thinking this, he smiled at the two women in front of him and greeted Karla.

"Mrs. Gonzales its a pleasure to meet you." Jun extended his hand for a handshake and Karla didn't hesitate to shake his hand. "Please, call me Karla, it's nice to meet you as well, Mr. Tang. Take a seat." Karla offered the seat in front of her and Lisa, who was still a bit dumbfounded by the situation.

"If I'm going to call you Karla, you should call me Jun. No need for us to be so formal with each other."

"Well, then Jun, this is the writer you're being assigned to." Karla gestured at Lisa. Jun smiled at Lisa before extending his hand for a handshake.

"It's nice to meet you, I hope we can have a good working relationship. If possible I hope we can also be friends, Ms-"

Lisa couldn't shake Jun's hand as she simply stared at it unsure what to do. The hand that Jun had out was simply hanging there, making the situation turn quite awkward. Still, even in this situation, Jun remained smiling unaffected by the awkwardness as he waited for Lisa to shake his hand and tell him her name.

"I'm sorry about that, she's just an extremely shy person." Karla was no longer able to handle the awkward situation and chimed in. She then lowered Jun's hand knowing that Lisa wouldn't shake it.

"It's alright, I understand. How about just telling me your name." Jun continued to smile at Lisa, who still didn't know what to do or how to respond.

Karla then looked at Lisa and whispered in Lisa's ear, "Even if you don't want to shake his hands, you should at least tell him your name."

Lisa hearing what Karla said gathered up her courage and spoke. "I'm Lisa Chu..." Lisa wanted to add the words glad to be working with you, but that proved to be too difficult for her. Though she really wanted to try and get along with Jun, her past made it difficult for her to communicate properly with someone she barely knew.

"Oh, you're Lisa Chu! I have something to give you. I think you drop this when we met." Of course, Jun already guessed that she owns the notebook, but he still acted that this was the first time he found out. Jun then took out the notebook from the pocket of his coat.

When Lisa saw the notebook she reacted quickly and snatched it from Jun's hands, and then hugged it tightly feeling extremely relieved. After doing all that, Lisa finally noticed what she has done. Her expression quickly changed from relief to embarrassment, making her blush as she used the small notebook to block her face.

Jun who saw her react that way, felt his heart beating a bit faster. 'So cute!' Even though he was screaming that in his mind, Jun remained looking calm and kept on happily smiling at Lisa.

"Thank..." Lisa started saying something but she said it so softly that Jun couldn't hear anything.

"Did you say something?" Jun asked as he got a bit closer to Lisa trying to hear her talk. Lisa seeing Jun so near her made it even more difficult for her to speak. Still, she needed to do it.

"Thank you." This time, she said it a bit louder.

"Oh, that, it's no big deal, there's no need to thank me. Seeing as I'm your new editor I guess you can call it a part of my job. Actually, I need to apologize to you."

After her initial embarrassment, Lisa felt a bit more comfortable with talking to Jun, so when she heard him say he wanted to apologize, she tilted her head confused. Karla who was simply watching the two interact found the whole situation pretty fun to watch. Usually, Lisa would've run away by now, but for some reason, she was actually trying this time, which made Karla feel a bit proud of the girl.

"Why?" Lisa asked.

"I actually read the contents of your notebook. I'm really sorry, I was just really curious."

"...It's alright... It's part of your job to read it. So there's no need to apologize. Also, it's my fault for dropping it. It was a good thing that you're the one who found it." Lisa unconsciously smiled as she said this, which surprised both Karla and Jun.

Next chapter will be three days from now. This first four chapters, is simply to get a feel of what you guys think.
