Fetus warning

It has been two weeks since their family trip to the nature park. Magnus has been extra sweet since then. Selena always wakes up with flowers on her bedside table. It always made her smile and when she would come down to the kitchen, Magnus would be there for breakfast. "A lot of things change in him.", she thought happily. Her husband is also taking her to medical school every morning. Things are also doing okay in her medical school. Selena is still feeling bothered every time she sees Erik but she forces herself to ignore the feeling.

One day when she is at her usual spot at the mini park, Erik approaches her. "I thought I would see you here and I was right.". Erik has a smile on his face. Selena is confused and gives him a stern look, "Do you need anything?". He nods and replies, "You.".

Selena does not have to ask the meaning of it. She starts taking her things into her bag. Erik stops her by holding her wrist, "Wait, where are going? I just want to talk to you.". She looks at him and says with a warning tone, "Let. Me. Go.". But Erik did not follow and keep insisting, "No, I will not let you go until you talk to me.".

Selena becomes angry, "I said let me go!". Then she removes his hand that is gripping on hers. As soon as she is free from his grip, Selena looks at her wrist. It is red. She massages it in a circular motion. Erik must have seen it because his eyes are filled with regret. "I am so sorry, Selena. I did not mean to hurt you.". He then tries to approach Selena but she steps back away from him.

"Leave me alone. I do not want to talk to you.". Selena takes her bag and leaves immediately. "He is definitely not Eon. Eon would not hurt me.", she mutters to herself. Selena spends the rest of the day thinking about Erik. She thought to herself, "At first I have these positive vibes on him but now, he feels different. Suddenly, I do not want to be around him. He was acting weird.". She still massaging the wrist that Eon gripped.

When Selena comes out of the building, she sees Magnus' car and Magnus standing right outside the car. Her heart flips out of joy. As she approaches him, she smiles and tries to hide her hand. Magnus is looking at her straight in the eyes with a smile. When she arrives in front of him, Magnus kisses her on the cheeks. "Hello to you, my wife. How was your day?". Selena's cheeks turn pinkish-red. She suddenly could not speak. She looks at Magnus who is waiting for her to respond. She gulps and manages to replies, "Hi. Umm... My day is great. My effort of studying with you paid off. I scored perfect in all the quizzes today.". She happily shares with her husband.

Magnus is amazed. "Wow. I am so proud of you. Let's go. Let us celebrate. We are going to an ice cream parlor. I already told Nana we are going to be late so she would not wait for us.". Selena could only respond, "Okay.", because of excitement. She completely forgot what happened earlier because of Magnus.

Magnus opens the car door for Selena. Selena smiles at his husband and goes into the car. "What a gentleman.", she thought. As soon as he sits on the driver's seat, Magnus starts the ignition and they are on their way to the parlor.

As usual, Selena is looking at the window while Magnus focuses on driving. There is silence in the atmosphere but both are happy being with each other. Magnus looks at his wife and unconsciously looks at her hands on her lap. He notices that something is red on Selena's wrist. He stops the car while still looking at his wife's hands. Selena is shocked and looks at her husband. When she realizes that Magnus is looking at her hand, her eyes widen, and immediately hides it under her sleeves. Magnus instantly grabs her hand, stopping her from hiding it. Selena shouts because of the pain, "Ahh! It hurts.". He had held the red part. Seeing his wife flinching in pain, he immediately let her hand go.

Magnus asks Selena with a serious look on his face, "What happened? Who did this to you?". Selena hesitates to answer but she can see her husband's persistence. "Umm... A guy at school. But it was an accident.". He examines his wife, "Do not lie to me, Selena. I can tell that your wrist is gripped tightly. Did he drag you?". Magnus stops and sees that his wife is getting scared. He sighs and holds her hand gently. "I am sorry. I do not want you to get hurt and seeing this now makes me mad. Not at you, okay?". Selena nods. Magnus continues to speak, "But I am your husband, Selena. I have the right to know these things, I need to know. I promised to protect you and I cannot do that if I do not know what is going on.".

Magnus sees that his wife starts to calm down. She looks at him, "I am sorry. You are right. I should be open to you with everything.". He just smiles and waits for his wife to talk. Selena sighs and starts telling in every detail what happened earlier at the mini park. As she finishes her story, Selena looks at his husband's expression. It is a straight face. Then Magnus reaches for his phone and dials a number. Selena could not figure what Magnus would do. But as long as she realizes that he is calling the dean, she grabs the phone from him.

"Give me back my phone, Selena.".

Selena is scared of the tone of the voice of Magnus but she did not let it waver her. She pleads, "Magnus, please. I do not want this to become a big deal. I do not want conflict.".

Magnus cannot believe what he is hearing from his wife. "Are you serious right now? Selena. This is a big deal. He has no right to do that to you. He cannot force you to talk to him. What if it would not be your wrist that will get hurt next time? Huh?". Selena holds Magnus' hand, "There will be no next time. I already confronted him. It would be the first and last time he would be bothering me.". Magnus sighs deeply and looks at his wife. He leans forward and kisses her on the forward. "Please, next time, tell me. You should let me know what is happening with you. We are partners and partners tell things. They solve things together.". Selena smiles at him and nods, "I am sorry that I worried you. Next time, I will, I promise.".

Magnus kisses Selena again on the forehead and turns the car ignition again. He looks at her while driving and then looks at the road, "We will change in destination.". Selena looks at him, "Where are we going?". He just smiles, "You will see.".

After 30 minutes, Selena has caught sight of the ocean while they are on the road. "Wow. It is the sea. It is so blue.". She looks at his husband, "You never ceased to surprise me.".

They arrive at a big gate. It is a beach resort. Magnus comes out of the car first and goes to the other side to open the door for his wife. Selena comes out and looks around. Magnus offers his hand and Selena takes it. They enter the place while they are holding hands. Magnus walks towards a bamboo restaurant by the seashore.

"Wow. It is so amazing. A bamboo house.", Selena exclaims. They enter and proceed to sit at a table for two by the window. Selena looks at the window and lets her head out. "It is so refreshing.". She closes her eyes and exhales. She then looks at Magnus and asks, "Why did you bring me here?".

"To relieve stress. After what happened, we need a peaceful place like this. So forget about that man, okay? Do not think the reason why he did that anymore. I promise you, it will not happen again.". Selena looks at him with a questioning look. Magnus understands the look his wife is giving him, "Do not worry, nothing extreme will happen. Trust me. I just could not let it slide.". She sighs, "I cannot seem to stop you.".

Magnus holds both of her hands and gives her an assuring smile, "Just trust me, alright? I just want to make sure that he does not talk to you nor bother you anymore.". Selena just nods. Magnus then gives her the menu. "Now, let us take a look at the menu.".

When their order came, Selena immediately covers her nose. "Oh my goodness. What is that awful smell?". Magnus looks at her with confusion, "What smell?". She leans forward to the table and smells the food. "This one! It smells bad.". Magnus leans to the table as well, "What are you talking about? It smells nice.". The waiter is already looking at her, confused. "It really smells.".

Magnus has no choice but to ask the waiter to take the dish back to the kitchen. Selena seems to be feeling guilty, "I am sorry, Magnus. It really smells bad, it makes me want to puke.". Magnus smiles, "It's okay. We can order something else for you.". Selena smiles back and thought to herself, "What is happening to me? That food really looks okay and fresh but it really smells rotten to me.".

The next order that arrives did not upset Selena anymore so they can finally eat. Selena clears her mind and just enjoy the seafood and scenery outside. After eating dinner, Magnus and Selena walk by the shore for a while. They are holding each other's hand while making their feet wet as the waves comes to the shore. Selena looks at Magnus, "Thank you for bringing me to the sea again.". Magnus takes her hand near his face and plants a kiss on it. "Anything for you.".

An hour later, they go home. Selena falls asleep during the trip. Magnus would glance at his wife from time to time.

They arrive at the mansion. Magnus immediately goes out of the car and to the side to get Selena. Since he does not want to wake her up, he decides to carry her up into the bedroom. Miss Luna opens the door for them. She panics seeing that Magnus is carrying Selena. "What happened? Is she okay?". Magnus immediately replies, "Selena is okay, Nana. She just fell asleep and I do not want to wake her.". Miss Luna calms down and looks at Selena, "With you carrying her requires movement so she should have wake up but did not. It means she is sleeping so deeply that her senses stop working.". She caresses her on her head and looks at Magnus, "Go ahead now, darling. Bring her upstairs so you could also rest.".

Magnus replies, "Yes, Nana. You should sleep as well.". He then proceeds to their bedroom. He kicks the door and goes to the bed. He slowly lays Selena on the bed. Magnus stares at his wife and recalls what happened at the restaurant. He mutters to himself, " Is it possible that you are pregnant?". He places the blanket on Selena's body. "I hope you are not. I hope you are not having a baby.". Magnus then goes to the bathroom for a shower.

Selena is sleeping deeply that she is having a dream. She is in a bedroom and on the corner, there is a crib. She walks towards it and sees a baby girl smiling at her. She takes the baby out of the cradle and carries her. "What a lovely baby.". Then the baby suddenly says, "Mommy.". Selena is not surprised and acknowledges the baby is her daughter. Then the scene of the dream changed. Everything is black. The baby in her arms is gone. She hears her baby crying loudly and in pain. "Mommy is coming, baby.". Selena walks and walks until she reaches a door. She is about to come out when she sees Magnus talking to a doctor. She clearly hears him saying, "Did you get it out of my wife's tummy?". She could not understand what he is talking about but then she felt something between her knees. She looks down and sees blood. She shouts. Selena wakes up, sweating, and crying.
