The silence in the car was heavy. Daemon kept his eyes on the road, while Evelyn stole glances at him from time to time.
She could feel it, from his face, his eyes, his demeanor, that Daemon was angry, or rather, he was failing to hide it now. It was anger unlike any she had ever felt from him before. Even the night he took her away in a helicopter, he had only been cold, but not as angry as he was now.
