Chapter 2 - Boring Math Class

20 Minutes later.

I took out my sketchbook, since I've finished my math assignment that the teacher gave us to complete. Just as I started drawing in my sketchbook, Lily came up to my desk, and asked, "You finished the assignment already?" "Yes." I replied, not making eye contact, while focusing on my drawing in my sketchbook. The sketchbook that I got, when my family and I went shopping for school supplies, a week ago.

I was supposed to use it for Art Class, next period. But, I couldn't wait for next period. Ever since I was little, I dreamed about being an Artist, who makes good art, just like in shows and movies, who has people who were talented artists.

About 5 minutes to the bell, to go to next period, i stopped working on my drawing and put my sketchbook back in my bookbag. Same old bookbag I've been using for two years of high-school. I was going to get a new one while shopping for school supplies, but I hesitated and just brought school supplies and a sketchbook.

When the bell rang, Lily and I went to our lockers and getting our stuff ready for next period. Since our classes are in different buildings, I told Lily that I will meet her during lunch.

Two classes later, it was now time for lunch. After I got my lunch, I spotted Lily sitting on one of the tables. I sat next to and we both discussed on what to do on the weekend. "So.." I start the conversation first. "Got any plans for the weekend? if not, we can have a sleepover this Friday, just the two of us, if you want." Lily thought about it and replied, "Sure." She said, smiling. I smile back. It's been a long time, when Lily and I did a sleepover. Last time when we first did a sleepover, was when we were in Elementary School.

When the bell rang, after lunch, Lily and I went to our lockers and grabbed our stuff for the rest of our classes. When we walked into our 5th period, we sat in our assigned seats. When I sit down in my seat, Nick, my crush, walked in and sat down beside me. My heart started pounding.

He looked at me and said, "Hi. I didn't know that we're in the same class." I started blushing, but didn't show it. "Me neither", I replied. When the bell rang, the Teacher did role call and then gave us the lecture about the class rules, and what we would expect from what we are going to do in the class.

When the bell rang, I put my stuff in bookbag, and started to walk out to go to my last class of the day. As I was about to walk out, Nick called out and asked something that made my heart melt. "Want to be my girlfriend?" Without hesitating, I replied. "Sure." "Cool." He said. Then, he gently kissed me. "If you want to hang out, sometime, call me." He said and gave me his number. "OK." I said, while I took the piece of paper that has his number written on it. As he walked out of the class, I started blushing and feel my heart melting inside. My crush asked me to be his girlfriend. Except, for one problem. Lily.

How am I going to tell her? I hadn't told her that I had a crush on Nick, ever since I started having a crush on him. What if she finds out? Would she still be my friend? No. I have to keep this dating thing a secret. All I have to do, is wait for the right moment, and then I will tell her.
