CHAPTER FOUR he's mine
suzhen looked around and saw prince Feng Mian walking towards them.
when prince Feng Mian got closer he rested his arm on prince Haoran's left shoulder.
"Ran-ge, I've been looking all over for you" he said between breathes.he looked tired.what!! did he just call prince Haoran ' Ran-ge'.so that means the hairpin is he's but....why didn't he get it back.questions swirled in her brain.
Not knowing what to do, suzhen took off the hairpin from her hair and kneeled before the prince.
" sincere apologies my prince,I didn't know it was your hairpin.please forgive me" she lowered her head and presented the hairpin to the prince with both hands.
prince Haoran's smile widened- reaching his dark eyes.silly girl.
"please stand up" he touched suzhen's shoulders and helped her get up.
when she got up she looked deep into his eyes and immediately averted her gaze.why does he have to be so damn handsome?
prince Haoran cupped suzhen's chin and made her face him making eye contact."so what if it's my hairpin....." he got the hairpin from her hands and had put it back on her hair "it looks pretty on you. matching perfectly with your silver eyes"
suzhen felt those butterflies in her stomach again.what's wrong with her?
Lady Xin felt angered.how dare she take prince Haoran from her.
lady Xin clenched her fist and teeth but then she thought of something.she slowly and carefully walked towards prince Haoran and slightly touched his sleeves "my prince,I feeling a little bit dizzy and I'm getting weak" she exaggerated "I'm not fully recovered".
"then go home" he coldly replied.
"but I can't"
"let go of me" prince Haoran slightly pushed lady xins hands off but she hurriedly wrapped her arms around his arms.
suzhen raised a brow.this is interesting.
"lady Xin, let go of my hand" he commanded.
"I can't"
"are you asking for a death wish?"
"my prince --"
"INSOLENCE!!!" prince Haoran abruptly yanked lady xins hands off of him.
she stumbled back and fell on her butt.
suzhen and prince Feng Mian got startled.prince Feng Mian moved to the right behind his brother.
"lady Xin!"
suzhen hurriedly walked towards lady Xin and offered her hands but lady Xin slapped suzhen's hands hardly.
"hands off you witch" she angrily said.
suzhen stumbled backwards.she almost fell but prince Feng Mian who was at the side caught her before she could fall.
"thank you,my prince..." she thanked him.
"how dare you hurt her" prince Haoran got angry,the air around him was suffocating.he glanced at lady Xin with discust.he felt like grabbing her neck and squeeze it tight - chocking her to death mercilessly. "you..."
to avoid any more arguments, suzhen moved towards prince Haoran as she subconsciously and lightly held his left sleeves."my prince, please calm down.lady Xin didn't mean to hurt me,please forgive her in my behalf"
prince Haoran's gaze softened as he stared at the hands that were holding his sleeves.he looked at Suzhen who had a frown and then he smiled.suzhen is really kind-hearted.
seeing him calm down,suzhen let go of suzhen whilst trying to avoid his gaze.
Prince Feng Mian was both surprised and amused.his brother - the soul stabber and grim reaper on the battlefield ,never smiling for anyone even their parents, just smiled because of a woman.this was More interesting.
just like prince Feng Mian,lady Xin was also surprised but not amused.she clenched her fist out of anger,if only she could cut of suzhen's hands and feed her to dogs, getting rid of her sooner.
before she could speak she heard "scrum!",she looked up thinking as of she heard wrong until prince Haoran repeated " out of my sight!". this was absurd,all for Li Suzhen. as if things couldn't get any better prince Haoran ordered "apologies to lady suzhen".
this was embarrassing.never in her life had she ever apologies to someone as non disserving as Li suzhen, nevertheless she stood up and lowered her head "I apologise for my behavior lady suzhen".
"it's okay,I know you didn't mean it" more like you failed your attempt, suzhen wished to say out loud.
"I'll be off now,excuse me" with that said she was finally out of sight and suzhen could finally breathe properly.she never really wanted lady Xin to be present for her coming of age ceremony but as always the Duchess would say ' it is good to mingle around with people your age ' or 'we should love our neighbors even the slightest bit like inviting them for a party'.
prince Feng Mian couldn't swallow what his eyes are today.he looked around and found that everyone was gone.
suzhen also looked around and before prince Feng Mian could speak she politely said to both princes "my prince,I think it's time for you to leave,the emperor and empress must be waiting" she continued "your presence here was highly appreciated, your highnesses" she said to both princes.
prince Feng Mian turned to suzhen "lady suzhen,of you may please lead the way out"
suzhen nodded And gestured the way, escorting them out.
