Chapter 45

Riley opens her eyes to find herself in her consciousness. ' great. here we are again ' she thought to herself as she rolled her eyes. why do they always take her from her sleep " Riley can you hear me " she heard Wilson's voice

" yes. yes I can "

" ok. today we are going somewhere new and we will do exciting "

Riley returned from the lab at midnight. she thought that since she was finally able to go places things will be a lot easier but no it wasn't. Wilson was overworking her. she travelled to different places today which wasn't difficult, but now she had to control things in those places. Riley found it impossible since she wasn't there in reality but Wilson said it was possible. she went on and on without any luck until he finally gave up. there is no doubt she will be doing it again tomorrow

she crashed into the couch in the sitting room " another exhausting day " she grumbles. looking around, the house was as quiet as a desert reminding her of her own house. she wonders what Valentine would be doing right now. she wonders what has happened to her things, her mother's things, their family photos, everything that holds her family's memories. she wonders if her uncle was now married to Valentine's mom.

Why was she so different? why was her life complicated? the woman she cherished as her mother turns out not to be her mother. and her father is a crazy scientist that killed her real mother for selfish reasons. it turns out she has this power because she happens to be a weapon that will be used to conquer the world. the boy she loves is also a weapon. can her life get more complicated than this?

suddenly the door opens, she turns in the direction to see Aiden walking in and a smile made its way to her lips. the closed behind him. " hey " he had a weak tone. he was as exhausted as she was.

" hey " she struggled to get off the couch " how did it go "

" Great. 'm going again tomorrow " he walked toward her and gave her a peck on the cheek " I should go take a shower " he informed

" don't miss me too much " with that he made his way to the room

" I will try " she whispers to herself. Riley made her way to the kitchen. she explored the fridge for something to eat, she was so hungry but couldn't find anything to put in her mouth quickly. checking the cabinets with no luck. she frowned. " Damn it. am too tired to prepare anything " with both hands on her waist, she looks around. " guess am cooking," says while rolling her eyes

Aiden came out of the bathroom wearing a white t-shirt and black sweat pants. the Day they brought him and Riley here they brought his things along. the place was like their home cell. a prison but a comfortable one.

Aiden walks out of the room and the moment he stepped out the aroma of food hit his nose. " Riley?" whispers to himself. Aiden has watched Riley cook severely from a distance but never has he tasted her food. he often listens to the way Valentine hyped her cooking. finally, he will get to eat her food.

" Riley?" Aiden called from behind her as he walks in while she sets the table.

" hey," she gave a nervous smile. this was the first time she prepared food for the boy she liked, her boyfriend in particular. it made her a bit nervous

" you cook?"

" Yeah. " playing with her finger " the thing is. this is my first time cooking for someone other than Valentine and myself so I was very nervous during the whole process. I don't know if it would taste good " Aiden smiled at his adorable angel

" an sure it would as long as you are the one who made it "

" ok " she blushed " have a seat "

with everything set. Riley waited patiently for Aiden to try the food. with eyes focused on him scared of what his response would be.

" Hmmm. it's good" he gave her an impressed look " really good "

" oh thank goodness " she sighs in relief while she watches Aiden carry on eating

" you know what." with a mouth full " from this very day till my last you will be the one cooking " Riley smiled at him suddenly realization hit her. ' did he just say till his last ?' thought to herself. was he indirectly telling her to be with him forever? but that will only be possible if they..... her eyes fell wide open

" Aiden?"

" yes" he lifts his head and was confused by the look she gave " are you alright, Riley? "

" you said till your last?"

" yeah. why "

" that is like till the day you die?"

" yeah" with an eyebrow raised " what is your point " then he smiled as, the realization hit him as well " yeah till death. what were you thinking? that we will ever be apart? "

" no, I just....."

" Riley I want you in my life forever. even if you leave. I will find you. we are stuck together till the end " with that he went back to eating

Riley only ate a little. she was finding it hard to focus on her food " I should go take a shower " without giving Aiden a chance to respond, she ran out of the kitchen.

she closes the room door behind her, breathing heavily. what Aiden said kept ringing in her head. he wants her in his life forever. did she truly mean that or was it a guy's normal way of making a girl fall for them harder? if he did mean it that means he was already planning their future together. her face was as red as a tomato. she quickly grabbed a loss top and pants and make her way to the bathroom

Riley came out and her eyes fell on the bed " hhh" relieved that Aiden wasn't in bed yet. she scanned the room. with no sight of Aiden, Riley quickly got into bed and went under the covers with hopes of falling asleep before Aiden comes in but luck wasn't on her side. the opens and Aiden walks in. heading straight for the bathroom and come out 15 minutes later ' oh lord ' thought to herself

Aiden got on the bed and wrapped his arms around Riley, pulling her closer to him. she was taken by his warmth and amazing scent ' lord, help me fall asleep ' she thought to herself. suddenly she felt his warm breath close to her ear

" I know you are awake Riley " his calming smooth voice sang to her ear and her eyes fell wide open

" I hate you Aiden " she whispers

" No, you don't " he whispered to her ears again " turn around. just like magic Riley obeyed. turning to face him, her face flashed red. Aiden was laying next to her shirtless. she wanted to ask him why he was doing this to her but choose to hold back

" did you speak to Lisa today " she whispers

" Yeah, I did. " since cameras are watching them always they decided to only speak of their plan in bed," she said something about Wilson holding a congress meeting to introduce us to the London government "

" When is that? "

" Next weak. then they are certain that you will be much prepared "

" if only we can stop him before then. if we try something crazy Wilson will hurt you " she had a worried tone " if only there was a way to get that thing out of you "
