Midnight snack

She let out a soft sigh...

Lin Rouxue could not contain her happiness after not seeing him for almost 2 years.

Before she knew it, warm liquid rolled down her left eye.rubbing it ,she didn't want her Grandfather to see her as a crying mess.

Lin Rouxue wished that her grand father wouldn't worry about her.

Unknown to her, the old man had already found out she was crying but he didnt say a word ,he just kept silent her patted her back

"Rou'er...i have really missed you. You have alot of talking to do young lady,"

Lin Rouxue pulled herself from the hugged and looked at the old man saying..

"Gramps i really missed you too...about the talking aspects..err i have alot to tell you even if you didn't ask "

"Let me get the maids to run a bath for you...after that you can have your meal and talk later hmm"

Lin Rouxue smiled in response while nodding her head.

After freshning up and having her dinner, Huo Baochen and Lin Rouxue walked towardsvtge small tea house at the backyard .

After the maid had served them tea and small desserts,the both of them sat down as the discussed about things that happened in the last two years

Huo Baochen asked

"So you now agree with me after learning from your mitakes?....thats good ."

"Grandpa_"

Beforr she could complete her sentence,the old man stopped her

"There's no excuse you want to give now...I warned you about that chap from the Han family but you didn't listen. I only let you be because i saw the infatuation you had for him in your eyes" the man sighed and rubbed his forehead and continued

"you are just like your mother; stubborn and strongheaded...However your mother still made the right choice by marrying your father. I guess this has taught you a good lesson. So whats your plan from here"

Lin Rouxue was too emotional to hear what her Grandfather asked, she olny snapped out of her daze afer a few seconds

"Huh...what did you say "

"Forget it. we'll talk tomorrow.Come and help me up I want to go to my room "

Lin Rouxue helped him get to room and put him to bed. Seeing that the man's breathing was even she leaned forward and planted a kiss on his forehead , turned off the lights and walked out of the room while closing the door.

She felt slightly hungry after sitting alone in her room.

Walking out, she saw The family nanny washing yhe kitchen napkins and apporoached her

"Granny Zhong, how have you been " she cheekily asked.

The middle aged woman looked at her young mistress and smilled till her eyes were curved like cresents

"Ruoxue,you have grown so much in the short span of two years...you look more beautiful and charming. " NannyZhong replied witha big smile on her face.she was happy to see the young girl who used to follow her around the house asking for midnight snack all grown and beautiful

"Yes yes ... at least not everyone thinks so "

"Nonsense! Anyone who doesn't think our dear Rouxue is beautiful and charming must go see the eye doctor"

Lin Rouxue laughed out loud at her words.

"Granny Zhong am feeling a bit hungry now. Can i have my usual midnight snack ."

The middle aged woman smiled knowingly at her.

Lin Rouxue stayed with her Grand father for two years after the death of her parents. while she was here ,she would always wake up in the middle of the night asking for a midnight snack.as time went on the Nanny got used to her demands and always prepared milk tea and brownies ahead of time.

Nanny Zhong opened the fridge and brought out a plate with two middle sized brownies and bottle of milk tea.

Lin Rouxue smiled and took them whie walked to the dinning table
