The Weight of Responsibility

The scene opened with a figure, dressed in a doctor's coat, sneaking out of Alexia's hospital room. He quickly left the hospital, unnoticed by the staff.

The next night, the same figure returned, entering Alexia's room with a quiet confidence.

As He approached her bedside, Alexia stirred in her sleep, her lips whispering a name

"Alfred."

The figure's eyes softened, and they reached out to gently brush a strand of hair from Alexia's forehead.

Alexia wasn't aware of Alfred's presence, but she felt a comforting energy surrounding her.

"He did this to you, right? He assaults you. You shouldn't be in this kind of marriage. You deserve better,"

Alfred said, his voice low and soothing.

As the night wore on, Alfred continued to talk to Alexia, his voice a gentle whisper in the darkness.
