Newly Discovered

"Welcome back Minji. Had fun on your birthday I assume?"

My eyes flutter open and I'm left with the reality of seeing Minjeong in my dreams again. The scenery around me looks about the same. Except for the statue which I've already found out is Minjeong herself for whatever reason.

Minjeong humanifies from the statue and steps down from her stony pedestal, facing me just a few steps ahead.

"It's you again." I grumble while getting up from a patch of grass. "What'll it be this time?"

"I just wanted to check in on my great-great-granddaughter. Am I not allowed to do so?"

Minjeong flashes a coy smile in my direction.

"Well, I'll have you know that my birthday party with Seoyun and Dahyeong was amazing. Training with Yuna was also really eye-opening."

"So you've already practiced using your ability then. How'd it go?"

I almost snort after hearing that, refraining from doing so.

"About as well as you can expect. Barely was able to do anything."
