Bo Hua Lian Arrives!

Both Elijah and Alexius prepared their stuff for their next journey as they were packing up their clothes and stuff. There was a knock on their door they suddenly pause their actions as they both look into each other. Alexius motions that he will check the person outside the door and Elijah continues to pack his stuff. He has already used magic perception to investigate the person's identity the person outside seems to hold no hostility to them.

There are 3 levels of magic perception the lower level, middle level, and higher level. Magic perception can be perceived living being within a specific range the lower level has 500 meters range, the middle level has a 1 km range and the higher level can reach 10 km. Higher Level magic perception can perceive the emotions of the living beings within the range. As mana is linked to the emotions of the user for example if the person is happy the color of the mana would be yellow.

When the magic perception is used to ordinary people with no mana it would be reflected or null. As the relationship of mana and ordinary people are like water and oil it would not be absorbed nor used. Although ordinary people cannot use mana they can use Aether. Similar to mana but not the same as mana cam from the surroundings. But Aether came from the breath of life which is in the inside of the body. Ordinary people may not be able to used magic but they have a core inside their bodies. Which is located at the heart or the brain the core is like a gemstone. It has different colors depending on how much they cultivate their aether in their bodies. The aether is often used for Martial Artists as they strengthen their bodies with Aether. That is the difference between the Ordinary people and the Mana people.

He then comes towards the door he checks the peeping hole to see the person outside. A child was waving in front of the peeping hole it was the little girl that they met before together with her black rabbit.

Bo Hua Lian was waving outside from the door signaling to let her inside as she smiles when the door is open.

"Hello, Mr. Grumpy face brother." her voice is like a clear spring together with the chimes of the bells normally the person who gets charmed by the sudden attack of cuteness. But not Alexius as he regards this little girl as his enemy so he just blatantly ignore the child and the smile of Bo Hua Lian twitch from his actions.

'This petty adult man hmph! Don't worry I like Big Brother Elijah than you!'

She then ignores Alexius as if nothing has happened then enters the room as she searches for the person with whom she has taken an interest in. Fù the same as her owner she fiercely glares at Alexius as she tries to threaten him using the kicking motion. Alexius just rolls over his eyes but swallows his complaints as Elijah would probably ignore him if he bullies the child.

"What an annoying pest..." as he murmurs those words as he closes the door.

When he arrived at where Elijah and the little imp were enthusiastically having a conversation with all sorts of things like foods, clothes, and other simple topics you often chat with your friends. Suddenly Bo Hua Lian goes quiet then looks into Elijah with sad eyes as if she doesn't want to let go of him.

"Big Brother Elijah are you going to the Academy?"

"Well, there is only 1 week left when the class starts so we need to get hurry as we have a long way to go Lian."

Bo Hua Lian looks so sad and disappointed when she heard what Elijah said she was sad because she can't see her again. Elijah notices her change of emotions and hugs her to comfort her loneliness.

"Don't be sad Lian we can visit you if we have some free time and send you letters so that you won't get lonely even when we are away."

She wanted them to stay in their inn as long as it could be although it may be selfish she wanted them to not go to the academy. Suddenly Alexius taps Bo Hua Lian as he gave a beautifully wrapped box. She accepted the box as she looks at Alexius she was surprised by his actions. As she did not expect to receive a gift from him as she was an ice block. Although he was a grumpy petty adult he is somewhat a decent person. As she opens the box she discovers it was a jar of candies. It was from that candy shop that she wishes to visit but was unable because she was shy to enter the shop. And didn't want to trouble other people as it was just candy that she wanted to get for her birthday.

"What if it is poison?"

"What if I take it back?"

"..."

"..."

Elijah who is listening to their conversation felt ridiculous because of their exchange. One is suspicious of the other's motive while the other is terrible at expressing his emotions. The both of them look at each other as if it was a stalemate then Bo Hua Lian broke the silence.

"Thank you." she sincerely said her thanks to Alexius as she hugs tighter the jar of candies as if someone would take it away. Alexius just looks at her then just hum to her thanks, but if you look carefully you can see that the tips of his ears are turning red. Elijah already knows this after fee observation after he met him but he didn't point it out as the other would feel embarrassed if others know about it. So all he did is snicker and enjoy the scene that is happening in front of him.

Bo Hua Lian and her older sister Bo Hua Lihua escorted them out from their inn despite the last night's event. The business was a halt for more investigation Elijah was concerned to their business. But it was greeted by the smile of the older sister she didn't blame them for the incident. As it was not their fault in the first place she thanks the two of them.

"I would also thank you for giving a gift to my little sister, it been a long time I have seen her smile that brightly after the death of our parents." as she fondly remembers the memories when they were still children. Elijah and Alexius look at each other but didn't probe into the other's history, as we have all stories behind our smiles.

She then looks to the two and pats their shoulders and looks at her little sister. They said goodbyes and left the inn they stay for a night. As their back cannot be seen Bo Hua Lihua looks at her little sister.

"Miss them already?"

"...yes..."

She just smiles and hugs her little sister to comfort her. As she lifts her back to their house as she pats her back.

"They will come back again."
