Beware of the Web of Darkness

Alexius and Elijah have arrived in their bedroom after they were escorted by the officer they were exhausted by the events that happened today. The location of their bedroom was modern style there were two separate queen size beds with a lamp in the middle. Both Alexius and Elijah lay in their respected beds as their tired bodies are slowly recovering from today's events. Elijah is fighting the sleepiness but conceded as the bedsheets were fluffy and soft. As it lures him into the land of dreams while Alexius was laying in the bed with his eyes open.

He was still awake as he remembers what happens today's event's as his mind replaying the scenes in his mind. The inn, the people, the bloodless head, and the White Tiger Order it was chaotic suddenly a sound of knocking on their door broke his thoughts. He suddenly gets up but did not immediately open the door he looks at Elijah who was dead asleep.

There was a moment of silence he then grabs a gun that was given to his Aunt for protection, of the possible danger that might happen to him just like now. He waited if the person outside would continue knocking at their door then a sound of another series of knocks. This time was insistent he then puts a barrier for Elijah just in case that something might happen to him. As he slowly gets up coming towards the sound of the knocking of the door.

He used the perception to investigate the person outside there was only one person he tried to probe into the person's perception. But it was blocked there are only two possible reasons that the perception can be intercepted. Either the perception was that the person was an ordinary person with no magic would result to be blocked.

As ordinary people with no magic are null the magic properties that surround them. Which their bodies are not conducive to the magic that stops any magic to be absorbed or used. While the other reason would be the opponent is higher level than him which can be easily intercepted. He just hopes that the person outside is ordinary but if not then he has no choice to use other methods to stop the person.

"Sir, I am a housekeeper would you please open the door so that I can do my job?" a sound of a clear deep voice that was talking right outside of the window. It was a male voice presume that the other person is a man. But Alexius didn't respond as he continues to wait for his next words.

"Sir if you are in there would you please open the door? I would be trouble by my boss if you don't let me do my job."

"We didn't order for a housekeeping." there was a sudden pause in the man's actions.

"But I would need you to open your door I need to do my job, please sir." as his voice carries worry and fear but Alexius still not going to give in to his pleas.

"But it's night who needs a housekeeping in kind of time."

As he slowly approached the door while aiming his gun at the door as he waited if the knocking would continue. The person outside was silent which made Alexius' face becomes serious the knocking came but this time is much more urgent together with a sound of scratching. Then the door suddenly opens which Alexius fired the gun but the perpetrator evades just in time as it tried to attack his neck.

He blocks the attack with his left arm continues to fires the gun at the perpetrator. The opponent suddenly backs away from the gunshots fired by Alexius but was still hit by one of the bullets. It hisses from its pain as the opponent notice Elijah's sleeping face he then grabs him using him as a shield.

When he tried to touch Elijah it was blocked by a barrier of Alexius it hisses from the backlash of the barrier. Alexius continues to shot the opponent noticing he let down his guard which he manage to shot him at his left shoulder. He clutches his wounded shoulder then he jumps at the window escaping to the forest. Alexius looks at the opponent escaping to the forest but he didn't chase after the perpetrator. As he remembers the insignia of a spider web on that person's chest there is only one organization that has that insignia for its members.

'The Arachanid'

The next morning Elijah is woken up feeling refresh but it didn't last long when he remembers last night's events. It made him feel disappointed and as if someone has slapped him in the face of reality. As he goes into the bathroom started to brush his teeth then wash his faces as he goes into the tub for a bath. After he came out of the bathroom he then proceeds to wear his clothes as he looks into the window in front of him. It was clean and there are no marks of indication of being broken nor scratch as if it was brand new.

"Alexius! is it just my imagination or the window seem to be brand new?"

As he saw Alexius coming out from the kitchen carrying two mugs of hot chocolate he is in his pajamas. His looks were super comfortable and his aura of aloofness is cover by the comfy pajamas making him handsome like a supermodel for pajamas. Alexius just looks at Elijah as he hands over the mug while he thanks him for the hot chocolate.

"It must be your imagination it looks the same for me."

Elijah just accepted the reason as it was reasonable maybe it was his eyes playing in this morning. As he just continues his day when there is something shiny that was reflecting the sunlight that seems to be a fragment of glass on the rug. But it was picked up by Alexius and turns into nothing removing any evidences that were left in last night's event.

"Yes, it is just your imagination..." Alexius murmurs but Elijah didn't hear what he said as he starts to pack his clothes to continue their journey to Academy.
