Chapter 15 : Hunt (1)

Klein went to sleep after he saw his sister who had risen early and had breakfast. Afterward, Lin Ruo gathered the pen that symbolized [Truth] and directly wrote the sentence: "[Ray Bieber will hide in the area under the jurisdiction of the Storm Church]." The golden words formed and disappeared, accompanied by the consumption of supernatural power. Lin Ruo couldn't help but slightly raise the corners of his mouth.

He chose to conceal Ray Bieber within the jurisdiction of the Church of the Storm. This was part of a script he had initially written, related to subsequent layouts. One purpose was to involve the Storm Church further in the unfolding events.

With this done, as Lin Ruo contemplated his future operations in Backlund, he wrote: "I will be fortunate enough to escape safely after hunting Capim." Lin Ruo wished he could emphasize the likelihood of his hunting success, but [Truth] could not directly write about others. Thus, he couldn't explicitly state his own success in hunting.

Though not a direct certainty, he could still indirectly influence the outcome and tip the scales in his favor. For instance, when he arranged the Aurora members meeting, he only qualitatively identified the cult members. While such members typically faced arrest or elimination upon discovery, the lack of explicit death-related language allowed [Truth] to take effect.

Additionally, by gauging the consumption of power for this [Truth], Lin Ruo could estimate his chances of success in his next move—essentially, an alternative form of divination. "Well, the consumption is lower than expected, which is fitting since I'm an experienced player." Lin Ruo muttered before dispersing the [Truth] pen. Lazily stretching, he decided to further experiment with [Fallacy] since he had time to spare.

Following several high-power consuming experiments that drained him rapidly, Lin Ruo still had many untested ideas. With time on his hands, he was eager to continue experimenting.

As the minutes and seconds ticked by, Lin Ruo concluded his experiments for the day. He then began analyzing the current situation within the Lord of the Mysteries world. Before long, the familiar sensation of dizziness overtook him, and darkness filled his vision.

Upon waking, the twilight's orange-red hues once again adorned the horizon. Lin Ruo felt a brief daze, as if yesterday's events had been a dream. However, he quickly realized that sleeping until dusk resulted from exhausting himself, causing his spirit body to return to his physical body. This prompted his instinctive sleep mode for recovery.

"If this keeps up, I'll turn into a night owl!" Lin Ruo groaned as he got up from bed. After a hasty wash, he discovered an empty kitchen and opted to dine out. Following the meal, he didn't return home but headed directly to Ayres Street, where Capim's Villa was located.

"7:17..." Lin Ruo checked his pocket watch, then took note of the guards patrolling near Capim Villa. He touched the secret badge in his hand, injecting spiritual power into it. Pinning it to his chest, he activated the secret state. Using information from traffickers, he knew it was the right time for Capim's dinner and the perfect opportunity to act.

Lin Ruo's goal was simple: ensure the capture of Capim while attempting to eliminate other Beyonders if possible. This hunt targeted not only Capim but also the Beyonders protecting him. Lin Ruo believed that successfully hunting these Beyonders could aid his potion digestion.

Of course, Lin Ruo wouldn't be disheartened if he couldn't kill these Beyonders. His primary objective was Capim—other Beyonders were expendable, and Capim had to die.

As for the Loen royal family behind it all, Lin Ruo's eyes flickered with emotion. However, he suppressed the negative feelings bubbling within him. He held an intense disdain for these individuals.

In his previous life, he defied the risks, inciting a revolution between superhumans and ordinary people. He couldn't fathom a world that categorized people based on their abilities, allowing Transcenders to kill ordinary people without consequence, yet preventing ordinary people from retaliating against Transcendants.

This notion was unacceptable to him. People with abilities should stand as equals alongside ordinary individuals. Abilities should add value and contribute to society. It was unjust that an extraordinary person's significant contributions could be discarded with the words: "They were just ordinary."

He refused to accept such an outcome. With a sigh, he turned his gaze back to Capim Villa and walked calmly in its direction.

The secret state granted by the badge enveloped him, allowing him to interact with reality invisibly. Though he could act freely, he couldn't directly affect reality. Bringing someone else into the secret state required Lin Ruo's active intervention, which the badge didn't allow. Still, he could slip through the Capim Villa using the badge's power.

Lin Ruo's entry into Capim Villa went smoothly, thanks to the hidden state granted by the badge. He discreetly made his way to the villa's restaurant, standing near the long table. His emotionless gaze swept over the individuals present.

Heras, wearing a black tuxedo, towered as the highest-ranking Extraordinary present. Belis, sporting a beard, exuded the aura of a robust middle-aged man. An old yet lively Parker, and a slightly overweight middle-aged man—Capim—completed the group. The only female member, Katie, was absent, presumably guarding the underground area.

Lin Ruo paid little attention to Katie's absence. After all, once he acted here, eliminating Capim and attracting the Church's official Beyonders, news would inevitably spread to the underground area.

He positioned himself behind Heras, the highest-ranked member, and spoke softly. "I am not a demigod from another pathway. It's a fallacy."
