Lord of Reality : I Prevail in Chaos

" why are you doing this ?! "

A 5 year old boy was standing in front of the door of a room looking at 2 persons wearing servant cloths, they were standing in front of two bodies belonging to a man and a woman , their clothes were stained in blood and the servants were holding swords with a blood dripping from them on the cold floor .

" You saw nothing boy , don't worry come here ! "

The boy started to shiver and feel cold , although the weather was moderate , the coldness was from fear .

One of the servants started to move toward the boy slowly while holding a sword stained in blood .

All of this was happening at the night there were no lights , only moon light was lighting the room .

The boy started to move back while the servant come closer , then suddenly the servant started to move faster and faster until this movement turned into running .

When the boy saw the servant running toward him , he started to run away from the room , he was running faster than any child from his age due to the adrenaline that was flowing in his blood , he was running for his life while tears started to fall like a stream of water

' Mom , Dad I'm sorry ! … ' the boy thought .

While running he heard the voice of the other servant shouting

" GET HIM ! WE CAN'T LET ANY WITNESSES "

The boy ran and ran faster through the corridor as he heard that , he turned left then right until he found a wall to hide behind to catch his breaths .

Suddenly a hand was put on the boy's mouth from behind . The boy thought that they caught him but fortunately it wasn't .

" Don't speak word your highness or they will know where we are ! "

A whisper came from behind the boy , he nodded to voice who whispered .

" Good I will pull my hand "

The hand was pulled and the boy turned to see who was it just to see a man with brown hair and brown eyes .

The boy calmed down after seeing the man .

" Mark ! How did you get here ?! And where were you when they killed mom and dad ! "

The boy said with anger and despair .

" I'm sorry your highness , they caught me off guard , I didn't even know that they were assassins ! "

" Assassins ?! Who sent them ? "

" We don't know yet , everything happened quickly that we didn't know that the king and the queen were killed till few minutes ago , and I ran immediately to find you and make sure they didn't harm you or even worse … kill you "

The boy didn't know how to reply to this , everything happened when he was going to his mom and dad's room just to find they were killed by the hand of assassins .

" Your highness ! Come with me we need to get out of here so quickly "

" Okay , let's go "

Although the boy was shocked and terrified he didn't let it take control of him and calmed down .

' I swear I will find who did this and tear him apart with the worst ways '

The boy thought while running with the man .

They continued to run till they got out of gate of the palace , there was a carriage waiting in front of the gate when they got out

" COME ON HURRY OR THEY WILL GET US !!"

" Hurry up your highness get in "

The boy did what the man asked and got into the carriage then the man closed the door of the carriage as soon as the boy got in .

" You know what to do ! "

" Don't worry sir ! I will not let anyone touch him "

" Good I'm counting on you ! "

The driver of the carriage nodded to the man but before the driver started to drive , the boy shouted to the man

" MARK ! WHAT ARE YOU DOING ! GET IN QUICKLY "

" I can't your highness , there must be someone to distract them and gain you some time till you get to a safe place "

" YOU CAN ASK ANY OF THE GUARDS TO DO IT ! "

" I can't either because they betrayed us "

The boy bit his lips in frustration , he couldn't believe that even the guards betrayed them .

" Fine , be safe Mark ! And make sure to be alive or I will go to hell and get you from there "

" Hahahah it seems that I can't die , be safe your highness and go to the duke of the north he will know what to do when you give him this envelope and I will meet you there after I deal with them  "

Mark said as he gave a black envelope to the boy , then the driver nodded to Mark and started to drive away .

The driver drove the carriage as fast as possible as to not let anyone catch them but to their dismay it couldn't keep up with the speed of a well trained assassins that trained their speed to the fullest , anyway , the assassins attacked the carriage ferociously with a well coordinated attacks that can kill a grand knight in an instant , however, their attacks didn't damage or harm the carriage at all due to a protection spell on it that was casted immediately by the driver who was a grand mage .

The assassins were surprised to see a grand mage but this didn't stop their attacks due to their pride to finish the mission what was assigned to them .

The attacks continued until the carriage got into a forest , it was night so the forest was dark only little strands of moon light can be seen .

The carriage was damaged as the protection spell ended , even a grand mage doesn't have an infinite mana or can stand continues attacks from professional assassins whose attacks are fetal .

However , suddenly one of the assassins , who seemed to be the leader  , noticed a cliff ahead of the carriage, then gestured to his groupmates , seeing his gesture his groupmates nodded as if they knew what he wanted them to do , they started to surround the carriage to prevent the driver from turning either left or right just going in a straight way .

Seeing this the driver knew what they are going to do , he continued to drive until he stopped near the cliff , he then got out of the carriage and stopped in front of the assassins .

' I think I don't have any other choice all I can do is to hinder them until his highness run  '

The driver whose name is Max thought for a moment till the leader of the assassins snapped him out of his thoughts

" So , you decided to surrender ? , I was gonna make it fast so that you don't feel any pain Heheh "

The leader said with a sinister voice , he and his groupmates were wearing assassins clothes which was black while covering their faces .

" Didn't think that there were traitors in the palace , think the protection had gone soft after all these years of peace "

Max said in a sarcastic tone clearly knowing that he will not make it alive tonight but at least he wanted to keep the prince alive .

" Well , are you ready to die , don't worry it won't hurt too much , just a little hahahahah "

The assassins were ready to pounce on Max to kill him , just waiting for their leader's order .

' if I'm not gonna make it out alive , at least I should hinder them until his highness run '

Max thought while getting his spells ready to attack .

" Okay guys let's  kill that old man and that damn child too "

The leader said as his groupmates pounced on Max to attack him .

" I'm not even that old yet and don't talk bad about his highness "

Max shouted as he began to unleash his spells , he attacked ferociously while the assassin seeing that they dodged but not completely as some of them were burned by his fire spell , anyway , the attack continues as Max still firing his spells while the assassins dodging until at some point one of assassins found an opening and attacked Max with his dagger at his abdomen .

*Thrust*

Half of the dagger was in Max abdomen but assassin was nowhere to be seen as he was burned to ash with a fire spell by Max after he had sensed an unbelievable pain .

Max's face was distorted due to the pain in his abdomen but that didn't hinder him from attacking . Time went by but the assassins didn't stop their attacks …

< 2 hours later >

Max was hardly breathing as he killed all the assassins and turned them to ash completely.

After that he calmed down his breaths and looked behind him to find the leader of the assassins catching the prince while putting his dagger around his neck threatening to cut it .

" Are you finished there , I can give some more time till you finish "

" WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HIS HIGHNESS ?!!! "

" Nothing just a little talk " the leader said sarcastically

When Max was busy killing the assassins the leader sneaked to the carriage and opened its door to see if the prince was there or he ran as Max told him , but fortunately for him and unfortunately for the prince he was there and didn't run as Max told him , the leader of the assassins with a sinister smile said " Oh~ you didn't  run , good boy your uncle is proud of you ~ "

The leader's words should be a praise and any child who receive a praise should be happy for that but to the child it was the words of a demon who wants to rip him apart .
