Chapter 73:Commission

Seeing that Xio was somewhat better, Adryan couldn't help but internally sigh with relief.

With all that solved now came the part that would be somewhat uncomfortable but he didn't cared.

"Even though I enjoyed being your psychiatrist, miss, I actually came to ask for your help with something." Adryan said making the smile that Xio had on her face crack and she looked at him uncomfortably.

"Sorry about that Mr. Holmes" the woman apologized as she quickly put away her sword and by doing so she already had a serious expression.

"What do you need?"

"What a lady, how quickly you are back in business~ leaving that aside, I need your help in finding 4 bastards"

Xio was annoyed by the man's words but she already knew his personality so she just let it go.

'Apparently it seems that they did something to annoy him,' thought Xio.

She managed to detect the annoyance in the man's voice, this is obvious because Adryan wasn't trying to cover it up.

"What would my pay be?" Xio asked seriously, she could take this job but first she needed a price.

'Perfect, don't do anything without knowing what you get in return,' thought the redhead, nodding to the woman's attitude.

"It varies a lot, from pounds to potion formulas, whatever suits you best but it also depends on your performance" Adryan said unhurriedly surprising Xio.

Frowning in thought, Xio was silent for a few moments before asking seriously.

"How many pounds and which potion formulas?"

"In pounds they are 35, and if we are talking about potion formulas, I am only willing to use them if you have a very good performance in the sense that you give me where they live, their work hours, what they eat and what hand they use to wipe their ass"

"First there is the incomplete formula of sequence 8 of the Arbiter pathway, I will only give it to you as payment for the fact that it is incomplete otherwise you would have to pay, then there is the complete formula of sequence 8 of the Apprentice pathway but this one I am only willing to give you a 10% discount" Adryan said seriously but Xio widened her eyes upon hearing the formulas he had.

'The formula that Fors needs! Turns out Mr. Holmes had it all this time?!' the woman thought in alarm and she spoke hurriedly as she tried to contain her anxiety.

"Mr. Holmes, if I want the formula of sequence 8 of the Apprentice pathway right now, how much would I have to pay?"

It wasn't that she had ignored the fact that the man also had her formula even though it was incomplete, it was that Fors needed hers much more.

'My formula can wait, Fors is the priority..'

"That would be 400 pounds if you want it right now," Adryan said unhurriedly.

'So with the discount it's 360 pounds...' She did a quick calculation in her head and couldn't help but bite the inner of her cheek.

She and Fors had a lot of money saved but half of it would be spent on the formula and they still had to buy the main and complementary ingredients.

'Every pound counts and even if it's only 40 pounds it will be very useful...'

Sighing she looked into the eyes of the man's mask and spoke.

"How much information do you have on these 4 people?"

"I'll assume this is your way of accepting the job~?" Adryan asked and seeing that Xio nodded he gave a short laugh.

Smiling under his mask, Adryan took out from his black jacket a piece of paper that contains everything Glaint got from the 4 unfortunates, including their photos.

"There are four corrupt police officers, I need you to find their location and deliver it to me, it is very likely that they are hiding in East Borough, it is very unlikely but not impossible that they may have hidden elsewhere but I doubt it." he spoke while Xio grabbed the paper and began to read everything.

Reading and seeing the short profiles of her targets, she just nodded as she put the paper in her pocket.

"It will take a while but the information will be delivered to you in a maximum of 5 weeks, the East Borough is very big and there are too many gangs, my men will have to move carefully and they will surely ask me for extra pay." Xio spoke in a business tone but Adryan managed to read between the lines and understanding the message he just let out an amused laugh.

"Then I'll add the 35 pounds to your pay and the discount will be up to 13% but remember you'll only get the discount if you get everything on them" Adryan said amused making Xio nod but inwardly she was happy that she achieved her goal but she realized of a problem.

"Then how will I send you the information Mr. Holmes?" she asked doubtfully.

"It's quite simple write a letter with any update and put it in an envelope sealed with a red seal and deliver it at Bravehearts Bar to a man called the Old Man, ask the bartender about him and just deliver the letter to him and tell him it's in the name from Mr. B" Adryan said calmly and Xio listened and repeated the method in her head until she was sure she memorized it.

Adryan just smiled under his mask, this was the method he had told Glaint and Dutch to communicate with him and now he would take advantage and use the same method with Xio.

'Why bother and create a new one if you already have one that already works fine?'The redhead thought amused and he added one last thing.

"Also if you find any kind of danger or serious problem I will be here every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in case you need help"
