Axel, Navi, Azer, Ely, and Ekail keep going; as they have walked, all of them stopped with the words of Axel.
"Stop, there is a room ahead of us."
Navi and others took a deep breath and activated their nen auras. They did not want to get caught underhanded at all. It would be a death wish to enter some sort of unknown room without the protection of nen.
They all used "Ren" to power up and continued.
The room had no door and was not too big, only about 100 meters in diameter. It is not big compared to other rooms and places they have been for the time being that they have spent time on this island.
As they entered the room, all of them looked toward the middle of the room. There was a statue of a wolf-headed humanoid.
The statue stood tall, with its head held high and its eyes staring off into the distance. Its body was muscular, and its fur was detailed and realistic.
As the group approached the statue, they couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and reverence. The statue seemed to emanate a powerful aura, and they couldn't help but feel drawn to it.
"This is not something ordinary,"
Nav was the first one to speak. Others, including Axel, felt that this may be the biggest thing they have seen in the matter of nen and mystery. The statue brandished a strong and pure aura, and Axel believed that even the Royal Guard would not have this amount of nen. Not to mention that this statue is clearly not a living being.
It was just an object.
Azer, being the most curious of the group, stepped forward and examined the statue closely. He noticed that there were runes etched into the base of the statue, but he couldn't quite make out what they said.
"These runes are different than what we saw until now; they are too artistic and weird at the same time, and I can see that it has a clear resemblance to Nen Runes."
Nen Runes are the runes that have the ability to conduct nen. The Wing gave a small rope to Gon and told him not to use nen, and when Gon used nen, the nen runes activated and the rope was broken.
The box Ging left for Gon after he became a hunter reacted to Gon's nen and only opened after that. No matter what Killua did before, it did not work at all.
Azer, who was skilled in deciphering ancient texts, stepped forward and examined the runes. After a few moments of concentration, she was able to decipher the message. "In honor of the wolf deity, protector of the forest," she read aloud.
"I mean, the translation may not be completely true, but it should mean something along those lines."
Navi nodded. "It is great that you are here, Azer."
Ely, who was a skilled tracker, noticed that there were fresh tracks leading away from the statue.
The tracks were basically huge steps that have enough weight and power on them to sink into the stone itself. Ely commented.
"I don't know who this creature or individual is, but having a body sink into the stone must be weird."
Ekail smiled and then nodded. "Yeah, you are right; I know that I would not want to encounter him at all."
