The group continued to hang out for the rest of the week, enjoying their time together and deepening their bond. Vin and Duke practiced together, thus becoming closer. Even though they had fun, the guys didn't stop training.
Duke became slimmer, but for the untrained eye, it was difficult to notice. However, it was an improvement. Daniel and Mary had their date, and by the smile plastered on Daniel's face, we can understand that things went well.
Jinho grew taller, showing that he was still in full growth. Surprisingly, he and Eli became really good friends and were a menace when fighting together. Their teamwork was impressive. When together, they were able to overpower both Vin and Zack. Especially Eli, who, through continuous fights against Daniel, improved exponentially, releasing all of his pent-up talent.
While going out together, Jay introduced them to his sister Joy, who, with her cheerful personality, integrated into the group easily. She is also quite straightforward and is known to speak her mind just like Daniel, causing the two to get along really well. She developed a crush on him, but Daniel made things clear, so there was no drama in sight.
....
Daniel was walking along the street with Vasco. The two were currently going towards an average stall. This morning, after a week of fun, Daniel called Vasco to tell him that he wanted to introduce him to a person.
"So, Daniel, who do you want to introduce to me? Is he a bad guy?" Vasco asked curiously while walking alongside him. His outfit was simple, consisting of a short white T-shirt showing his tattooed arms. On the left and back side of the shirt, there was the Allied logo in black. On his lower body, he wore simple black jeans with some cut parts. His growing beard and his big appearance made him look older.
"Oh, no, no, he is a good guy, you will see," Daniel responded, wearing the same type of shirt but in black, with cargo pants of the same color. His logo was white, while his black hair was styled just like James Lee, giving him a good appearance coupled with his handsome face.
The two gathered some attention since seeing two men with matching outfits and the same logo on their backs was a rare occurrence.
Daniel ignored the stares and stopped in front of the stall. Vasco did the same, and the two looked at the man who noticed them and smiled warmly: "Good day! Do you want to order?" The man's appearance was unique. He was an unassuming man of Thai descent, with dark skin, short and spiky hair, and of average height. He was wearing Vietnamese attire, making his appearance seem simple, but Daniel could feel and knew that under that humble smile and clothing, immense strength was hidden.
While reading the manhwa in his previous life, he had the theory, but now standing in front of him, he could feel it, he was a high tier!
His name was Brekdak.
Brekdak is a kind, unassuming man with a hard-working personality and a disgust towards violence, if it can be avoided he will certanly do so. He is notably motivated primarily by his family and his love of Muay Thai in all his endeavors, going so far as to allow himself to be degraded on a daily basis in order to earn money to support his family.
And Daniel will use this love for his family. He smiled and gave a firm handshake to Brekdak, who raised his brow, feeling the strength behind that grip. His face became more serious, but Daniel spoke: "I'm Daniel and he is Vasco. We are from the crew Allied, and I came here to hire you." He made his intentions clear, making the air become more heavy and serious.
Brekdak shook his head and responded: "I'm sorry, but I have to refuse. I prefer to avoid fighting." He came to this country to support his family and pay his debt, not to play gangs.
Daniel sat along with Vasco and said: "I'm not hiring you to fight, nor to cause trouble. I seek your help in training my friend here. Give us something to eat too." He clarified, making Brekdak's gaze land on Vasco, who was looking at Daniel with surprise. He didn't expect that Daniel came for this.
Daniel continued: "I have a lot of money, so it's easy for me to give your family a good life while you work for me. You will only need to teach my men and women and help in case of danger. You won't need to do anything illegal or immoral. I hope you will take Vasco as a disciple along with his division, the 'Burn Knuckles'." He stopped talking and let Brekdak think.
The Burn Knuckles were complete fodder without Vasco, and Daniel wants to change that, so he planned to make them go on a hellish training to improve their strenght.
The trio became silent and time passed. The two customers ate, and Daniel got up: "Since you haven't declined, I suppose you have accepted. Good. I will send someone to settle the money issue and your family matters. Meanwhile, I will leave Vasco with you.
I hope that after three months he will become strong along with the others. I will leave you the right equipment too, call me if you need something." Daniel looked at Vasco, who was still stunned, and said: "Greet your new master and you better give your all to learn all of his techniques and knowledge. See you in three months."
Daniel walked away while waving his hand. Vasco looked at his back with respect and gratitude: 'I will give my all!' he made up his mind and looked at Brekdak, who was closing the stall. He turned and smiled at Vasco: "As your first lesson, help me clean here!" he said with excitement. He was happy that he could now better help his family just by teaching someone.
....
Daniel smiled while walking away: 'Now I have dealt with Vasco's matter. Now Jinho, Vin, and Eli remain.' He began to make plans for their training too. He took out his phone and called Zack: "Yo, Zack, prepare that soon we will depart."
"Okay, Daniel." Zack responded, and the two ended the call. What? Expected more interaction? They are guys and we don't stay on calls for too long; it's better to meet in real life.
