Trouble Stirs with Wine Part 3

Third Pov:

YuHan was in the kitchen looking at how the xiaojie skinned the deer. "Do you need help with anything?" he asked.

"You can start the fire over there," she said as she pointed at the stone stove near the corner of the kitchen. He nodded in return. "The wood is on the rack, you have to use the axe near it to chop it in half so it would fit." YuHan grabbed the axe and went outside to chop the logs in halves. Though YuHan never cooked, he could handle basic things such as chopping wood and washing dishes. He came back into the kitchen with the logs and started placing them into the bottom of the stove. He started a little fire to help the logs to catch fire.

After he started the stove, he went outside and sat down on one of the chairs outside. Suddenly it started to rain and he went back into the kitchen. The young xiaojie was prepping the deer meat while the stove was cooking a soup based dish. "Where did ZiNuo go?" YuHan said suddenly.

"The other Gongzi? He should be back by now with vegetables," she smiled before she washed her hand and checked on the food that was cooking.

"Does it always rain around this time therein winter?"

"It happens all the time around the end of winter and the beginning of spring is coming," she said as she stirred the food. "Don't worry about it. It's going to stop raining after the sunset and we can have food outside with a campfire. I haven't had deer meat in such a long time, we're going to have some spicy hotpot with it. Do you have any preferences?"

"I like something more plain."

"I guess this is why my father bought the pot with two sides. I'll make a light based broth on one side if that's fine with you?"

"That's good. Is there anything else I help with?" YuHan said before he was interrupted by someone entering the kitchen.

"I came back with the carrots and mushrooms! I just got a bit soaked from the rain, but the rain stopped," ZiNuo said. ZiNuo's hair was a bit wet.

"Thank you, Gongzi. Can you hand it to your friend over there to wash it? So I can start slicing them."

"Here," ZiNuo said as he handed YuHan the vegetables in his hands.

"You're going to get sick if you don't dry off," YuHan said before he went outside.

"You should listen to your friend and dry off," the young xiaojie said.

"I still don't know your name Miss," ZiNuo asked.

"Just call me, Mei Older Sister," she smiled.

"You can call me Yin Gongzi and the food smells delicious!"

"Well we're having hot pot since you two caught a deer. Just wait outside and set a campfire up if you can." ZiNuo walks out of the kitchen and sees YuHan washing the vegetables, placing them into a weaved basket.

"Hey, Bai Gongzi! Tell me why you won't talk a lot?" ZiNuo shouted. YuHan ignored him and walked into the kitchen. "At least tell me your name!"
