A Dog Bit Me

YuHan Pov:

"What are you doing here? And reeking of alcohol? Yin ZiNuo, are you even listening?" I shook his body to wake him up.

"YuHan...I'm tired," he mumbled.

"I'm going to get you some water." I seated him down on the bed. I was going to grab some water from the teapot, but ZiNuo grabbed my hand.

"Please don't go, YuHan."

"What do you want then?"

He pulled me into his embrace and whispered in my ear, "You." I felt my back lay against the bed and ZiNuo on top of me.

"What are you trying to do? I don't want anything from a drunk man." I felt his breath against my neck.

"No one, but mine." He bit my collarbone. I bite my lips, trying to hold my scream back. That bite hurts, especially when it was where my previous injury was at.

"What's going on in your drunk head? Didn't you say that you don't get drunk easily? Is my uncle's wine that strong?" I tried to get him off of me, but he didn't move a slight bit. His hair acted like a curtain, covering my vision from looking further for an escape.

"Look into my eyes, YuHan." My eyes landed on his, an intense gaze coming from him. "Do you hear my heart? Can you feel it? I don't know why it hurts and races at a fast pace when I look at you." Tears started to form in his eyes, slowly dropping onto my face.

"Don't cry." I used my thumbs to wipe the tears that were about to fall on both sides.

"Just when I understand how I feel, you are already miles away from me. What do you want from me? I'll give you everything, please don't leave me. I promised that I would even give you my life. Stay here with me till I turn into dust, and you could return to her," he sobbed.

"I won't leave as long as you don't leave."

"Please tell me it's the truth." He laid his head on my chest.

"Every word I speak is the truth. I don't lie, Yin ZiNuo."

"Maybe we will meet in the clouds once again."

I woke up the next morning with a sore arm. I tried to get out of bed, but a strong force was holding me down. I turned my head around to see ZiNuo sleeping on my right arm. His arms were around my waist. I moved his head gently away from my right arm. I unwrapped his arms. I got up from bed and tucked him in with the blanket. I grabbed some ink and a brush. I started to write to my uncle that I arrived at the Su Sect but excluded any details of ZiNuo. I tried my best to write with my right hand as it trembled as I wrote characters with more strokes. After I finished, I waited for the words to dry before putting the letter into an envelope. I used magic to send the letter to my uncle.

I heard shifting from the bed and turned around to see ZiNuo sitting up. I went outside to ask a servant for some medicine to sober ZiNuo up and an ointment for me to heal the bite mark from yesterday. I waited at the front door of my room until the servant came back with the stuff. I thanked the servant before returning to the room.

"YuHan, good morning," ZiNuo greeted as he rubbed his eyes.

"Do you want an eye infection this early in the morning?" He stopped rubbing his eyes.

"At least say good morning back before confronting me about my actions. I didn't do something stupid yesterday, right?"

"I'll leave it up for your imagination. Here, drink your medicine." I handed him the bowl filled with liquid.

"Is it bitter?" He looked at me.

"How am I supposed to know? I don't drink wine a lot, so I don't need to drink medicine like this. Which means I don't know what it tastes like, ZiNuo." He looked at me with a worried look before drinking all of the medicine in a few big gulps.

"I don't know if I ever want to get drunk again."

"Doesn't alcohol taste more bitter than medicine?"

"That's a different story, alcohol I can manage, but I haven't drunk medicine in years."

"Okay." I went ahead and seated myself down before opening the lid to the ointment. I took off my outer layer before unrolling my clothes near my collarbone. I slowly applied the ointment onto the bite mark.

"Why are you taking off your clothes in front of me?" His hands covered his eyes.

"I'm not stripping all my clothes in front of you. What is going on in that head of yours?" He uncovered his eyes. His eyes moved away from mine to the mark on my collarbone.

"What happened to your collarbone?" ZiNuo asked while staring at the mark.

"A dog bit me when I was about to sleep." ZiNuo's eyes widened, and his ears turned red. "Are you now realizing what you did last night? Any regrets?"

"I'm sorry, YuHan. I promise I'll never get that drunk again. But if I wasn't that drunk, I wouldn't be able to get good aftercare from you," he smiled. I sighed. What kind of response is that?

"What in the world are you thinking? I'm going to tell a servant to prepare a bath for you. I will be eating breakfast at the dining hall. If you want to find me, you know where I am at. Clear your mind during your bath. I don't want you spilling any nonsense when you are talking to me, ZiNuo." I put my outer layer on before leaving the room.

"Understood," I heard ZiNuo shout.

I sat at the dining hall alone in the corner as other servants were eating, preparing to fill their stomachs for the potential day filled with work. I was about to eat my rice noodles before I heard my name being called by a familiar voice I hated. I looked up to see YiHan standing in front of me.

"YuHan, how's your day going so far? I heard that a dog bit you. Is that true?" he smirked. How did he obtain such information? Those words were only between me and ZiNuo. I got up and grabbed the clothes near his neck.

"You sneaky bastard."

"If I wasn't sneaky. How can I win against my dear cousin?"

A new chapter again. I think I updated 7 times in a row now. What a streak! We're getting to closer to chapter 30!
