Living Carefree in the Cultivation World

Liao Ping is a transmigrator who has read web novels throughout his life while being an author, teacher, and doctor. He taught interns about what to do as a doctor when they start interning at his workplace while being an author who writes web novels at night. He is a lazy person when it comes to cultivation but loves to do the other hobbies that he couldn't do in his busy previous life. (I'll eventually come back to do this or I dropped it.)

Chapter 16-Hearing the rumors

Master Hu Tu talked to White Claw for a bit before starting a cultivation session. After washing the bowls, Liao Ping goes inside and checks on the paintings that had dried, he puts them away into his storage treasure and starts his next task. Lui Xuegang had just finished his rigorous fist practice when a spiritual beast came out of the surrounding forest and paused itself a couple of meters away from him.

'Hm? How could a silver wolf be in this place?' thought Lui Xuegang as he took out a book from his storage treasure. He glanced at the wolf inquisitively then started searching through the book until he found the page labeled, 'Silver Wolf' he then looked through the page until he found where it was commonly found. 'Ah, here it is, the northeastern forests' mumbled Lui Xuegang. He then skimmed through its general information and took notice of its cultivation level with his own spiritual vision. 'Interesting, it's at Level 5 of the Foundation Establishment Realm, but I can just subdue it if needed' thought Lui Xuegang as he continued to do more rigorous training, but this time he focused on his movements.

The silver wolf watched Lui Xuegang practice for a while until it heard howling from behind itself. It turned around and went back into the forest while Lui Xuegang was practicing. He took notice of the silver wolf's leave and the howl that was emanating from the surrounding forest. He shrugged it off as the silver wolf's pack calling it back and continued focusing on refining his movements. He continued practicing until the sky was tinged with black and then he stopped to cultivate himself for the night. When morning came, he headed toward a nearby town to gather information.

He went straight into a tavern and sat down after ordering some wine. He then heard people talking about recent sightings of silver wolf packs, a group of cultivators searching for a recently transformed Beast Lord, and a kingdom that had been sieged by evil cultivators. 'Interesting, but I'm not strong enough to search for a Beast Lord or defeat evil cultivators who can siege a kingdom' thought Lui Xuegang as he left the tavern after paying for the wine. He went around town until he stumbled upon the market area that had cultivators and mortals shopping alike. The mortals were shopping for daily necessities while the cultivators were buying pills that they desperately needed.

"Ah! Finally, I've found someone selling earth spirit replenishment pills!" a cultivator said.

Lui Xuegang walked around the market occasionally looking at things and he bought a few mortal spirit replenishment pills and a book titled, 'How to deal with women' for himself. He then left the town before the afternoon came and started heading back to the sect whilst reading the book he had just bought.

Liao Ping had just finished all the most important tasks for himself and thought about Song Jingyi who was probably waiting for him to teach her and Autumn. He then took a break for 30 minutes by reading through the books he had brought from Fallen-star town. He then wrote for a while on his novelties and then revised them after reading them aloud. He repeated this for an hour or so until the late afternoon and then he stopped revising his novelties and put them away whilst heading for the entrance of Bronze Dragon Peak. He passed through the sect and then headed toward Fallen-star town to meet Song Jingyi.

When he arrived, he went to Mr. Lui's to inquire about the restaurant but was told the same thing. He then headed toward Jingyi's home and went inside after greeting her parents. "Hey, Big Brother! What am I learning today?" Jingyi asked. "You are going to be learning about Beast Lords, and I apologize for not coming yesterday." "Can I play with Autumn?" "Sure," Liao Ping agreed whilst taking out Autumn to play with Jingyi. He watched on as Jingyi and Autumn played around together. He waited until her excitement cooled down and then said, "Jingyi! Are you ready to learn about Beast Lords?" "Mhm!" replied Song Jingyi.

He took out a book titled, 'Knowledge about Beasts and Legendary Creatures' and started reading to Jingyi about Beasts that are docile and friendly.

"If you're wondering what species, Autumn is, she belongs to the Autumn squirrel species," said Liao Ping. "Oh-um is she the same as other squirrels?" asked Song Jingyi. "No, she's not the same as other squirrels since her species has been extinct for a long time," replied Liao Ping. Then he continued reading to her about other things like Beast Lords, Legendary Creatures, and Beasts. He stopped reading to Jingyi just as the sun started setting and left the house, heading to the entrance of the town.

As Lui Xuegang was walking through a forest, he notices two cultivators approaching from in front of him. 'Hm? I hope that they try something so that I can spar with them' thought Lui Xuegang as he continued walking whilst putting the book away.

"Fellow Daoist! Do you know where to obtain earth spiritual replenishment pills?" one of the two cultivators asked.

"If you continue following the path behind me, *gestures with his left hand with the thumb pointing behind himself* you'll eventually see a town and I heard someone say that earth spirit replenishment pills were being sold there" replied Lui Xuegang as he walked past the two cultivators and continued on his way. One of the two cultivators wanted to converse with him but was stopped by the other cultivator. Lui Xuegang slowly walked into the distance while the two cultivators continued following the path and directions given by Lui Xuegang.

Lui Xuegang sat down behind a tree and started cultivating himself until the sun rose on the horizon. When morning came, he started practicing his fist movements and continued this until the afternoon where he would double his efforts until evening came and he continued cultivating himself until the next morning. When dawn came, he continued heading toward the Immortal Dragon Sect after taking some mortal spirit replenishment pills.

Liao Ping had just finished helping his junior sisters with their cultivation questions since their master has been cultivating in seclusion since he returned yesterday night.
