Inside Dark Forest (Outskirts of Snow Fort)

After walking for half a day, a scout was resting beside the road disguise as forager when suddenly two large armored rhino carrying baggage's and some while five person in hood riding winged white deers arrived. It stopped at the spot where the scout was resting and they also decided to rest.

"Hello there travelers I am Nathan a forager, I am sorry for my sudden intrusion but may I know if you have spare food in exchange for some of my forage. I have healthy ginsengs and aroma plants for your journey." The scout initiated a conversation with the strange travelers, he was very careful as to not provoke them and only wanted to strike a conversation to ascertain their identity.

"OH! food? Sure." Zion who was eating his meal gesture for Shierra who was the smallest of the group with short black hair with bangs, pair with his clear glasses. She exudes an image of smartness and professionalism which definitely accurate. "Sir, this is the only food we can offer." She was guided into the resting rhino and Shierra opened one of their bag revealing some processed meat and processed plants as condiments.

"Ah, hahahhaha" The scout was amazed of the food storage, and even curious of some food and plants unknown to him. He could only laugh in embarrassment and picked a small piece of processed meat and some condiments he don't even know of.

"Miss, your products are superb and not ordinary. If I may ask, perhaps you are travelling merchants?" Nathan ask as to not continue the awkward situation he is inn.

"Yes we are, we travelled through this forest from a village in the desert and we are currently travelling to the Snow fort to exchange some goods. I apologize for my master is a bit shy and we encountered problems on our way here." She said but whispered the last words while gesturing towards Zion.

"Ahahahaha no worries, I was not bothered at all...by the way miss, though you are nearing the fort, you must be careful of beast, as they are frequent in this forest not long ago due to some unforeseen event." The scout concluded that they are real merchants base on their actions, tools, they even can afford to have luxury food as travel rations and most of all they can afford rare beast as mounts and baggage carriers.

"Actually we encountered two huge beasts fighting not far from the lake near a small creek, we lost some of our goods but fortunately we recovered some." Shierra told the Nathan of what they encountered out of concern, as he might venture inside the forest near the creek.

"I will put that in mind. Ahahahaha" Nathan was doubtful but better safe than regret so he checked the area as soon as he departed and saw the evidence of the fight.

Snow fort

"Are you saying that you lost some of your belonging to the commotion inside the forest and included are your credentials as merchants?" The Soldier who was ask the young man with curly brown hair is not buying his alibi. "Mr. Zeeq, will you explain further what happened?"

"Yes sir, a few weeks before when we are crossing a small creek just a few kilometers from the lake. a huge Golden Back Gorilla and A huge silver Wolf suddenly appeared while fighting. Luckily we are not their target but unfortunately, some of our rhino ran from fright and we could only recover some of them." Said Zeeq with a bright smile.

"Send an urgent message to the Lord's palace. Tell him that we now have a lead at the disturbance in the forest."

After a few questions, they were finally let go but they paid some coins to register at the merchant's guild and even register individually. Fortunately Azraelle prepared and created some coins, it was but a simple task for the pod to produce simple silver coins. The equipped state of the art, technology they have can produce objects as long as they know its properties and shape.

"So this is a small city? or should I say fort, Its my first time seeing this kind of structures. It seems to be lacking to be able to be called a fort" Lent, who has long blonde hair, sexy feature and strict look was amazed of the old and wooden structures around the fort. Though the walls and some towers are made of stone, bricks and lime plasters. She saw the weak points in the fort. And because she specializes in war strategy, she already created possible scenarios and deduced that it was a very weak fort. Though her knowledge is lacking, Azraelle already included on the data they received the basic structures of these planets current era. It was thanks to the effort of the insect drones that search through the books inside the fort's palace.

Snow Fort Palace

"Sire urgent report: The follow-up investigation team concluded that the merchant group's information was all on point and true, further more the scouts concluded that there are no unusual sightings on our premises and even our spies reported no significant events at the other side." Alex reported hurriedly as it was the top priority.

"Good, but continue to man the borders and areas that the enemy might get in. It is the only thing we can do while waiting for supply, resources and reinforcement from the capital" The commander sighed in relief from the news.

"Sire, If I may inquire." Alex who remembered something, hesitated to ask but the burden in his heart is growing day by day.

"Alex, I know of what your concern. You are thinking that we are abandoned, neglected because of my status. But politics is politics, I should warn you Alex that politics is a deep casm that shoud be avoided. If you are not brave enough, prepared enough and smart enough. You will be a victim and be devoured by this monster in disguise of the name politics." "Also, we have a duty to fullfill and we have no time for trivial matter. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ALEX?" The commander knew the sentiments of his right hand man, but he was prepared enough and dedicated enough to lecture his trusted knight, so he did not hesitate.

"YES MY LORD. I FAILED TO REALIZE THE ACTUAL SITUATION." Alex kneeled in apology after just realized that his commander is not blind of the situation, but instead endured the hardship. Instead of him doubting he must do his best not to fail his commander.

"Alex, the merchant who was involved in the information. Can you summon them?" Averting the awkward situation, he command to summon Zion's group.

"As you wish my lord." Though Alex did not know of what is now the lord's thinking and plan. He was now more confident of his lord so he hastily acted.

Market Plaza (Snow Fort)

"Hello there fellow merchants. We just want to ask if you are the group that came from the desert and encountered the huge beasts fighting." A bearded but have a smooth face adult around 50 years off age asked as soon as he arrived at their spot were they were selling goods.

They were flabbergasted, because the event that they encountered in the forest would seem to be a big significance to the people and may have a huge effect on their lives. So they answered sincerely this time. "Yes we are, and it was an unfortunate event." Answered Zeeq while scratching his curly hair and smiling.

"This might be a bit strange fellow merchant, but I would have to ask if there might be more strange happening in the forest that you traveled through. Any small things may do." The bearded man ask while whispering while giving a bag of silver coins to Zeeq.

"Oh! Strange things? I'm sorry sir but we have not encountered anything aside from that event." Zeeq gave back the bag and apologized.

"Unfortunate, but we are in search of anything strange as I am also a writer in search of new stories. please accept my gift as I would want to ask you the details of the beast fight while I record it. And by the way, My name is Argon. Nice to meet you"

"I am Zeeq and we are a travelling merchant called Urza. That there is my master Zion." As Zeeq gesture for Zion, Argon bowed towards Zion while Zion also reply with a respectful nod. Because the conversation can be heard from where Zion and the group are sitting, Zion gestured for Zeeq to continue as he did not see any trouble from the request. He just thought that their experience was somewhat amazing for the inhabitants but for them, it was nothing but trivial matter. They prepared enough weapon to defend and maybe counter attack against those kinds of situation if it needs to. But fortunately they were not the target, if they were. They would have to intervene and kill those creatures to defend themselves or so they thought.

And so they continue to observe in disguise of being a merchant while they deploy drones and other data gathering bots.
