Mistake

"Sire we are under attack" The report came but the generals and king Barabas already knew just from the commotion they can hear.

Explosions, shouting and screams. Angel units fly over, beaming laser to soldiers and beasts. It's attack is able to paralyzing the target unconscious. MKP I, MKDS, CLA Treant and all units scatter all over the camp.

"What, how could they penetrate our defenses this fast?" King Barabas ang the generals knew that there is possibility of attack but when they got out of the tent, enemies are all over the place.

"Sire, our reported to have seen large Insect like vehicles and dropped enemies all over our camps." One Officer reported.

"Counter back, release the worms and beasts. Regroup whoever you can and team up to counter the enemies."

The whole camp was in chaos. But in the side of URZA army, it was normal and planned, inside the suit, the chaotic loud voices is suppressed by the suit and only the important sound reached the inside, preventing the soldiers from confusion. They could also see very bright from the dark using other sensor technology. The system also guide them and not go out of their area of responsibility, and at the same time guide them if their team or group is transferred to another location.

No matter how they gathered and countered it failed time and time again. Finally the soldiers were exhausted and some the soldiers run away already.

"Damn it. Sound the retreat, to Baltik City." After The retreat sounded, all men dropped their weapons and run towards the City, but the gates were shut closed. The City was already taken over by URZA.

FLASHBACK

"We will synchronize the attack midnight, while you disrupt the army, my team will infiltrate the city." Zion ordered to Zeeq on the communication.

"Rygorn, prepare the reserve force and the Royal Hornet including all remaining aerial forces in the city. Kumar, you will temporarily take over Atlantis while I and Rygorn is out." Zion commanded and smirked from excitement.

Present

The battle was almost done five hours after it started, the routing of enemy took more than half of the time. Dawn was at the corner when everything was settled. outside of Baltik City, lined up hundreds of thousands of soldiers, while the injured was transported inside the city and the others who were captured remain at the neutral cities. It was a sight to behold, the sheer amount of soldiers are so intimidating to see. Merchant passerby and even travelers was shocked of the event unknown to them. Though the Baltik city is on alert, because there is an ongoing war. The officials and even their ruler Gregor Melroy II did not expect it to arrived at their doorstep.

And because some of their soldiers were drafted into the current conflict they have a few defenders. The captured ruler and the surrender of the rest of the officials led to the total defeat of the city. A few deaths and other injured during the surprise attack but no civilians were harmed.

At the horizon, where the sun is about to peak, a swarm of Royal Hornets arrived carrying another batch of MKD.

"Soldiers of Banawe, as prisoners of war you will be put on the custody under URZA kingdom and shall follow and abide by it's rules. Any actions that would break the laws and regulations shall be subject to punishment." It was one of the generals voice who were amplified by the drones hovering around the poisoners of war.

"As decreed by his Majesty Zion Arche Urza, the city of Baltik shall become part of it's territory from now on."

News of the defeat spread throughout the Banawe kingdom, the ministers and officials in the palace has panicked as their king was captured. Base on the histories from the continent, a captured king is not the end of a kingdom, if the ministers and or others ruling bodies in their system is present, they would have to appoint a temporary ruler, which would be the heir to the throne and if still not of legal age will be ruled by the reagent which in the Banawe case would be his wife Queen.

Golden Sand City

While the ministers and officials was on the throne room discussing their actions the bell rang indicating the arrival of an important person.

"Lord Delfin enters the throne room." the gate guard shouted upon the arrival of the person.

The ministers and officials settled down and faced the person. They bowed respectfully up until the person arrived at the end of the red carpet.

"Where is the queen regent?" Delfin asked facing the throne with serious face. A bearded man with resemblance to Anthony Barabas but a bit taller and more muscular.

"Sire, the regent as we speak is on travel to have a word with the invaders." A minister said.

"I will assume the throne for now, gather all the remaining military officials and ministers"

Everyone then kneeled as Delfin said those words.

After everyone settled the ministers each reported the details that lead to the defeat.

"What are the demands of the other side?" Delfin asked.

"The complete surrender of all cities along Holon river."

"So in exchange for that foolish life, they want our cities? Not the whole Kingdom?" Delfin asked in a confused manner.

"No sire, they did not specify that in exchange for anyone's lives. Rather, they clearly said that all person captured injured or not would amount to a thousand and five hundred gold per individual including the King. But they would halt the exchange if the cities were not surrendered before this week ends." The minister replied. Its because the gold of Banawe was a third in size and so to compensate the amount, they increased the ransom amount to standardized the compensation.

"Interesting, how merciful of them. And very peculiar. A thousand and five hundred gold for even a foot soldier but not demanding more amounts for the officers and even to my brother?. Mhhhhh" Delfin was quite as he pondered what the enemies are thinking.

Delfin Barabas was the older brother of Anthony, and the oldest among siblings. He seceded his throne to chose a more active lifestyle and became a general, actively defending the territories and even engaging in conquest. Though their families are natural warriors He was a formidable warrior compared to his younger brothers.

"Halt any communication with the other side and delay our response? We must fortify the cities before they can demand anything." Delfin asked.
