Hoard

Early in the morning, even before the sun peaked at the horizon. Argon and his men were waiting for result. Soon they were invited inside the QBUV abdomen area in which some experiment and construction of tools are ongoing.

"Greeting to his Majesty." Argon spoke gently and bowed at Zion who is with Kumar and Lent. While Argon's men follow and bowed.

"Greetings, I will be direct. I have good news. and not so good news. The analysis is complete and we can temporarily suppress your sons illness for the meantime and surely I assure you that there is a huge possibility of curing the illness, but it would take more examinations and data to solve the problem." Zion was careful of his words for to not cause any expectations from him. This vial will be the temporary solution until we came up with a perfect solution." Zion explained as he handed a vial with gray liquid inside seems to be alive and would move from time to time.

Argon did not hesitate and respectfully received the vial with deep gratitude in his mind. "I am gratefully thankful for your highness benevolence, I would forever be indebted to your highness. Anything you may ask of me shall be fulfilled as long as I can and In my name and honor shall not retract the words I have said." for a king to kneel down and forget his title is very rare. and in this kind of events that those who have known who Argon was would be dumbstruck. But even his men were very respectful even though their loyalty was to Argon their king.

"For now, my only request is for you to not divulge of this detail to anyone even your family. And Lastly. You will be accompanied by this creature over here." Zion who was smiling gesture to a small Cybernetic Creature that shaped like a beetle, in its back is a human sized pod with glass cover showing the white and clean design inside which is currently empty. Its has outer shell cover at the back to protect the glass pod and hid it in plain view.

"These pod here will be the one to continue the tests and data gathering after the vial is administered, and this will ensure that the process of formulating a solution is achieved in time." Zion explained as Argon listened carefully not wanting to miss any detail or instruction.

"This is fully autonomous, meaning it will do its work as soon as it is introduced to the subject, not only that. This will in examining all of your family, and whoever you wanted to be examined for possible diseases." Zion explained how the Beetle Pod works for them not to be confused, and it seems they understood it properly.

"Alright good luck in your trip, and I hope to see your son soon." Zion casually said as if he knows the boy would make it.

"You have my word, that any information would not go outside. My men here are my most loyal servants and if any of them divulge this information, I will not hesitate to take drastic measures." Argon knows that he has the most loyal men, but to assure Zion of his word. He reminded them that this was a priority command. The men nodded in agreement and looked at Zion with grateful eyes as if to swore their honor to him.

With haste, excitement and hope, Argon and his men left with a very little baggage to hasten their travel together with the Autonomous Beetle Pod with them. It can walk on its own and travel autonomously. Though they are in awe, they were more focus on going back to their kingdom.

After Argon and his men left they were back again to the projects, there were problems here and there but it was all minor problems and solved easily without delaying the overall projects.

There was no complications in the projects until after a few months from when Argon left the Ruin Settlement. A hoard of beast was rampaging and the ruin was in it's path, it was the least possible thing to happen but it unfortunately occur. This started from the Sultan's instigating some of the Golden beast around the forest to fight with each other to alert the Snow Fort and eventually recall everyone out of the forest for their plan in sneaking to the fort to succeed. Eventually it disrupted the balance of the beast territories that caused an unforeseen event.

{Sire we only have 20 hours left before the stampede will occur, if we don't escape now, many will be a casualty.} Zion was troubled because the ruin although a temporary settlement, they have invested large resources and time to build it. But he has no choice but to let it be destroyed, still he proposed a plan.

"Azraelle, try to analyze some solution to divert the hoard and or scatter their advance." {Analyzing sire} after a minute or so of being silent Azraelle finally broke the ice. {The best solution is at 20% probability of diverting the hoard}. "Give me the details fast." {We create a series of explosions in this area at this moment that may frighten the hoard and will probably divert the direction..but...} Befire Azraelle could explain the disadvantages Zion interrupted her. "Proceed with the plan of evacuation, and gather some men and vehicles to execute the plan, I will personally lead this plan."

"But sire..." Kumar tried to disagree but it was an order and they need to follow.

"Hurry..." Soldiers were shouting and hurriedly working to execute the plan, and even Zion was helping personally to assemble some explosions' at the site. Kumar was task for Logistics while Lent was helping Zion assemble the series of explosives.

And after finishing the plan they patiently waited with bated breath just a few kilometers from the advancing hoard.

3....2....1.... Boom...Booom...The explosive was detonating one by one and in a timely manner to offset the hoards advance... and after the series of explosions', a thick smoke enveloped parts of the forest..

"Look" shouted one soldier and pointed as he saw beast running in a different direction...It was a success and they shouted in joy. They averted the destruction of the Ruin they painstakingly built.

But A huge roar disrupted their celebration, as five giant silver wolves 9 feet tall and two White Wolves with golden hue of color 12 feet tall. hastily surrounded them.

"Azraelle, Launch QB immediately in our position." Zion Immediately commanded as he already knew the danger they are in. As a normal human without training in mana manipulation, they would be crushed immediately.

"Sire you escape now, I will delay the beast until reinforcement came." Kumar, smiled as he did not remove his gaze towards the beasts. Though he knows it will be futile, his duty to protect Zion outweighs the impossible. But before they could decide what to do the wolves attacked.

It was very unfortunate that the location they hid themselves is nearby the area the wolves waited for the hoard to ambush some prey but instead the hoard was diverted and the wolves who waited were lured by the explosions and cross path with them.

The battle ended as soon as it started. Zion and his group was bloodied in the ground, most of the soldiers were eaten and fortunately the three of them were not. The lack of mana they have in the body ultimately saved them from being food to the wolves. As beast who have a degree of rank in the forest don't just eat any meat, but meat with volumes of mana in eat, as mana would not dissipate instantly from the body when the lifeform died. So they it was like an appetizer for them seeing humans in their path during hunting.
