Why Don’t You Accept My Apology?

Xiao Hui couldn't answer him but somebody else came to offer his advice uninvited. "Junior martial brother Yun, were you talking to somebody just now? Or did I hear wrong?"

Yun Bei Fen turned around only to see Yang Wu Huang's smiling face on the other side of the courtyard. His expression immediately fell, making Yang Wu Huang tense up.

This boy! Did he have to look like this?! What had he done to him? He had never really aimed for Yun Bei Fen at all. He had only wanted to teach Mei Chao Bing a lesson. There was no reason to treat him like this now.

While Yang Wu Huang had no trouble at all to read in Yun Bei Fen's face what he was thinking, the same couldn't be said the other way around. Yun Bei Fen was upset that he had to see this person who had treated his senior martial brother Mei so badly before and couldn't understand at all why he would've come here. Since he didn't like Mei Chao Bing, why would he come and bother him?

It never occurred to him that Yang Wu Huang had come to meet him instead and wasn't interested in seeing Mei Chao Bing at all. If anything, he wanted to be seen by Mei Chao Bing. Preferably while he was in an amicable conversation with Yun Bei Fen. After all, he wanted to make Mei Chao Bing aware of his shortcomings and just how likely it was for Yun Bei Fen to soon fall for somebody else. What better way was there to achieve that?

Well, looking at it from that perspective, it was probably a good thing that Yun Bei Fen didn't understand. If he did, his mood would have plummeted even further. But even without understanding Yang Wu Huang's thoughts, he pursed his lips and hugged Xiao Hui tighter, hoping that this bad person would just leave again if he didn't acknowledge him.

Yang Wu Huang gritted his teeth and then stepped further into the courtyard, forcing himself to give a smile. "Junior martial brother Yun, he wouldn't still be angry because of what happened the other day, would you? I swear it was just a misunderstanding. I really thought he had done something bad to you."

Yun Bei Fen still stared at him silently. Anyway, his senior martial brother had said that he shouldn't get involved with this person and that he didn't have any good intentions. In that case, he would do exactly that.

Unfortunately for him, Yang Wu Huang misunderstood his intentions. Seeing Yun Bei Fen's upset expression but also taking note of the fact that he didn't say anything else, he felt that he probably had a chance.

Most likely, Yun Bei Fen's attitude was already wavering. After all, while he was already twenty years of age, he had never left the Teng Yong Sect and hardly stepped out of his Master's valley. His experience was shallow. Naturally, he wasn't able to deal with any intricate things. He just didn't understand what was going on behind the scenes. So he would never be able to figure out the hatred that existed between him and Mei Chao Bing.

Actually, looking at it like this, Yun Bei Fen was pretty stupid. But then again, it wasn't like he was interested in him because he was searching for a bright person to follow him. If it was about intelligence, then he had enough of that himself and was also able to find followers who could fill that spot. As for Yun Bei Fen, it was enough for him to have a pretty face and be obedient.

Thinking like that, Yang Wu Huang's expression eased up. He shouldn't expect too much from Yun Bei Fen. It was normal for him to just believe whatever Mei Chao Bing had told him. Now, if he was able to make him believe the opposite, then things would already be cleared up.

Yang Wu Huang went the rest of the way and stopped in front of Yun Bei Fen. He gave him a more genuine smile and then looked at the spiritual beast in his arms that Yun Bei Fen was still clutching tightly. "I'm really sorry. Why don't you forgive me? From now on, I will definitely consult with you first before I do anything. I wouldn't want you to be unhappy. You're very important to me, you know?"

Yun Bei Fen understood even less what Yang Wu Huang was talking about. They didn't even know each other! Unfortunately, he also didn't know what he should say. He definitely shouldn't talk to this person. Maybe it would be best to tell him to go?

Yun Bei Fen looked around and then glanced up at Yang Wu Huang. "Senior martial brother Yang, I think you should leave."

Yang Wu Huang's expression froze. What was he saying?! He took a deep breath to calm himself and then reached out, trying to pat Yun Bei Fen's cheek. "What are you even saying, junior martial brother Yun? Do you not want to accept my apology? I —"

Before Yang Wu Huang could say anything more, there was a growl coming from behind him that made his body freeze up. He slowly turned around only to find a ferocious spiritual beast behind him, its fur puffed up and the teeth bared. He stared at those dark eyes that seemed to be spitting flames of fury and gulped. "This …"

Yun Bei Fen's gaze darted around and he finally dashed away, running into the building. Anyway, Da Hei would probably shoo that Yang Wu Huang away. He should go and tell Mei Chao Bing about what had happened. Yes, that was definitely the best way to go about this.
