Teaming Up

I slowly opened my eyes in the morning, next to me was Velvet. She stretched out fully, I could hardly contain my need to rub her fluffy belly. Aaah, it's time to wake up. It's a waste to keep sleeping with these fluffy babies next to me. I get up and notice the early risers looking at me intently. Ah, yes, today is the first day for them probably. They seem very excited. I wait a bit for everyone else to start waking up.

"Good Morning, everyone." I look over at Velvet, she crawls up into my lap and lays there happily while listening to me.

"Good Morning, Master." Shiver responds looking over at Silk who is still slowly waking up.

I want to be as transparent as possible with them, so none of them are confused or concerned. Mystic reminded me yesterday that they needed to know what was going on, otherwise they'll feel less included.

"So.. after two days we'll be traveling to the Capital. I met a man who offered to help me travel there. To be exact, it'll be the day after tomorrow. Within that time period, we're gonna try to have you guys gain your traits or skills. Any questions?" I hope they're okay with this plan. It's not like it's my plan to become overpowered, I just want to make sure that we'll be okay. Besides, they seem excited to get their traits and skills. Before we got to this world, they would be excited to chase a feather around. Now they're excited to see the world, and it makes me so glad that I died.

"Sounds good to me!" Mystic chimes up. She has a sparkle in her eyes, it reminds me of how I look at them, their existence is pure bliss for me. With them around, I feel like I could fly. Mystic's eyes remind me of that feeling, pure happiness. She seems to gain happiness through actions, not words. She's probably proud of me for talking to everyone like this. I am too, Mystic.

"So today, I want to keep Team Vital near me. I want to tell Mystic specifically about as much as possible. You're important to me and to everyone else so I want you close to me. Team Vital will be performing the [Role] of doing [Orbit] around me for today." I hear a small chime, it seems they've accepted their [Role] happily.

"Team Flutter will stay close to the Inn, feel free to scout out the different houses or stores around here. Grace, I want you to continue your [Role] but you're free to take breaks when you're tired. Don't overdo yourself, okay?" I give Grace some head pats. She purrs happily. I know it can be tiring even to an extreme extrovert like herself to interact with people all day long. When she got home last night, it seemed all she wanted to do was lay down alone. Hana was a bit perplexed about it, expecting a warm and friendly Grace like usual.

"Team Break, I want you to play an important [Role]." They look up to me with wide eyes, they look like I have a treat in my hand. I have a hard time keeping myself from chuckling.

"I need Team Break to scout the lands around here, form two separate teams within yourself. Shiver and Snake, the other team within you four will be Silk and Frankie. Shiver and Silk, I want you both to communicate with each other whenever possible. So don't stray too far from each other. The teams should stay close. The reason why I want you four to be separated is because I need you to scout the area. And having two groups of two will be faster than one group of four. Understood? In the future, you four will be our Scouts, that's your [Role]." I hear another chime, I'll have to check the notepad in a moment.

"Got it!" Shiver sits up to attention. I trust Shiver to make sure Silk follows it properly. And I trust Silk to listen to Shiver properly, so I believe this will work out. If it were any other two, I might feel concerned but these two will be able to do it.

"Sounds good, Master." Frankie and Snake look confident with their [Role]. I'm glad this is working out, I only thought it out for a bit, honestly. But this is genuinely going to work… I think.

"Okay! Let's start to get ready then."
