Beasts pt. 1

In the world Lottie was dropped in, summoning skills are common however the summoning skills usually follow the same three rules.

First, the summoner has to plead with the spirit world to form a connection between them and it. The world that the beasts come from only allows them to have a simple spirit, they fly around without their soul or body for decades. The summoner is just one out of many paths available for spirits to enter the physical realm. Spirits can hear the pleas, like a gentle bell ringing in the breeze, and if they find it pleasant enough, they'll follow the sound to its source.

Second, the summoner can only summon a spirit that matches their Wisdom currently, this can also sometimes include their MAX. A spirit that has the ability to grow may need more Wisdom in the future, and so those spirits will only accept a summoner that is capable of helping them grow.

Third, the relationship between a summoner and a spirit will only grow to a certain extent. At most, friendship is possible. However, because the spirit is connected to it's own world, it understands that life with the summoner will only last for a single drop of water within the spirit world. And so, you don't see spirits growing a large attachment to the summoner.

Lottie however, was not summoning just a spirit. She was summoning the spirit, the soul and the body. This type of feat would only be possible for grand mages, however she cheats the system by using the force of God himself. The God of Laziness created an easier form of summoning just for Lottie. It's called Recollecting, with this form, as long Lottie's connection with all three still exists, and is strong, summoning is as simple as returning a call.

The reason why a simple summoner would not be capable of recreating this form of summoning should be obvious, their connection to a spirit is thin and vulnerable.

The spirit includes the mana, and their power. The soul includes the emotions, the thoughts and memories. And the body, is well, the body. There have been ways to take a spirit and let it bond with a false body, but it's more of a cosmetic thing than anything else. Without their true body, the spirit can only bring out a fraction of their power. Still a powerful amount, nonetheless.

Bonding a false body and a summon is not looked at kindly within the summoning community. They consider disrespectful to the spirit and soul of their summons.
