Getting up from the ground, I flexed my hand, forming a fist and feeling the newfound power that enveloped my body. 'I have officially become the first tribrid,' I thought, excited about the coming years. I Snapped out of my thoughts, seeing that all my siblings were done feeding and completing their transformations. After hearing what they had become from Father's explanation, needless to say, most were not happy, and Mother looked distraught at what she had turned us into.
"What have I done?!" She said to herself, on the verge of breaking down, knowing that what she has done will not go unpunished by the ancestors. 'Annoying decrepit people, ' I said in my mind. Ignoring Mother's crisis, I walked into my room and took out a potion I had prepared for this moment, uncorking the top and drinking the whole bottle in one go. A few seconds later, it felt like millions of ants were crawling all over the inside of my body, which lasted for a few minutes before it finally stopped. 'Now, I do not have to worry about the bloodlust.' Yes, the potion I took was a potion that changed my body so that I would no longer feel the need to drink blood and live without it and not end up a dried corpse due to hunger. I can still drink blood, though, and it will still make me stronger if I do, but this way, I will have more control over my feeding. 'I should probably feed my siblings the rest of the potions once we get to Europe.'
Selfish, I know, but things need to follow the plot a little more before I flip the table on everyone. Returning to the room where everyone else was, I raised both my hands, snapped Mikael's neck with the wave of my right, and put Mother under a sleeping spell with the wave of my left. Watching what I had just done to our parents, the others looked at me with vigilance, not knowing what I was doing.
"What are you doing, brother!?" Finn asked, shouting at me once he saw our mother faint to the ground by my actions.
"Oh shut it, Finn, she is just under a sleeping spell. They will both wake up after some time; now, down to business," I said, walking over to the table and taking a seat while pouring myself a glass of water.
"And what might this business be that you speak of, brother?" Elijah asked calmly as he sat across from me.
"Well, first things first, Niklaus, you should know that you are not a son of Mikael but of a fleeting romance mother had with the werewolf tribe leader from the nearby village," I said slowly while taking sips from my cup.
"YOU'RE LYING!!" Klause replied, shouting back with rage, clenching his hands into fists, causing his knuckles to go white.
"Oh really now?" I asked back sarcastically, looking at him like he was a fool. Standing up from my chair, I stood straight before him, looking down at him slightly. "Then let me enlighten you, my dear little brother."
I grabbed his hand and held it up in front of his face as I used magic to temporarily awaken his werewolf side, causing claws to form from his fingers.
Klaus's eyes widened. "This. This can't be; this has to be your witch trickery!" He said forcefully, pulling his hand back and pushing me away
"Do not be a fool, Niklaus; you know that I would not bother to play petty tricks with a matter as serious as this; you have the werewolf curse. When the day comes, and you take your first life, the curse will be activated, and you will become a hybrid of wolf and whatever we are now." I spoke calmly while returning to the table to resume drinking my water. 'God, I wish I had wine or whiskey.'
"Second order of business, since we all know that Niklaus is not Mikaels son, then we need to be prepared for the day when Mikael finds out about the matter since I am sure you all know it will not be peaceful." Hearing this caused the other to be a little worried about what might happen when that day comes.
"I say we, but it is more like you guys have to prepare since I will not always be around to protect you from him, and before any of you start quibbling," I said, raising my hand to quiet them who were about to protest. "I have other things in other lands to take care of, people that I need to meet, return to, places to steal from, conquer, and chaos to sow."
"And what of your family, huh brother?!" Rebekah said with anger lacing her tone
"And what of them? I never said that I wouldn't be around entirely, but I refuse to spend every waking moment of our new immortal lives with you guys; I need my adventures and space, which I am sure you guys will agree with at some point when you get past this current hurdle in our lives."
"Setting aside Ace's plans to leave us in the future," Elijah said, giving me a side-eye glance before continuing, " We need to be prepared for what may come in the future and the inevitable coming to light of the truth of the secrets that we now hold."
"Ever the noble brother, first off, we must leave this tiny forsaken village. Trust me when I say there is a wide world for us to explore and entertain ourselves with for the years to come." I said, sitting back down and leaning back in the chair. "But that's up to you guys whether or not you plan to join me in the wider world or try to stay hidden here like a frog in a well." With that, I got up and headed to my room to get some sleep; although I do not need it anymore, it is still lovely to be able to do it, unlike those disco ball knockoff vampires.
