23-Police Station

Adwin came to his room immediately after the call ended. He had thrown the mobile on the bed and taken the clothes out of the closet and went to take a bath.

Even though he didn't like clutter at all and he was quite a disciplined person, he was so happy at that moment that he didn't realize that he had thrown the mobile on the bed instead of keeping it on the side table. Today, after not knowing how many days, he was so happy.

He was soon ready and standing in front of the mirror fixing his hair. He was wearing a dark blue pant shirt and a watch in his hand. He was very handsome anyway, but this color suits him very much. His emerald color eyes had the same sparkle at that time as in this beautiful emerald green stone.

"I have to go quickly before she changes her mind," he said to himself in a low voice.

After that, he immediately picked up his mobile from the bed and started making a call to someone, and immediately the call was picked up from the other side.

"Hello, Jackson! I will not be able to come today, will you take time from the publisher for tomorrow?" he asked in a questioning tone.

Hearing this, Jackson was surprised for a moment because it was the first time since he had been working with Adwin that he had changed his schedule like this.

Jackson was his secretary and friend. He looked after the publication of all of Adwin's books. Jackson was his classmate from middle school and was raised by a single mother. But then his mother's health worsened and Jackson had to find work to support the household. But due to a lack of education at that time, he did not get any satisfactory work, so Adwin wanted to help him, but he refused to take Adwin's help without doing any work, due to which Adwin hired him as his secretary until completes his studies and gets a better job than this.

Adwin had always been committed to whatever he had to do. His studies, work, sports, music, family, and friends. He had set a time for everything and he was bound by that time. So what happened to him today? And that's why Jackson was a little worried.

"Is everything okay?" Jackson asked in a surprised tone.

"Yes, why?" Adwin said in a questioning tone.

"Then why can't you come today?" he asked in a questioning tone.

Adwin smiled slightly. "Because I have to meet someone," he said in a cheerful tone.

Hearing this, Jackson smiled for a moment. "Who is the lucky one for whom you changed your schedule Because till today I have never seen you do that," he asked in a questioning tone, emphasizing his words.

Adwin smiled uncontrollably. "Someone is very special, but if I keep talking to you like this and I'm late, I'll surely miss the opportunity, so wouldn't it be better if we talked later?"

"Why Not!" Jackson replied with a smile. One thing he knew was that there must be someone very special indeed. Otherwise, Adwin would never have been so disorderly in his time.

"You'll take tomorrow's time from the publisher then?"

"Don't worry at all, that's my responsibility."

"Thank you very much," he said with a grateful smile.

"Not a big deal Adwin, anyway it's better if you don't act like a robot sometimes." He said jokingly at the end.

Adwin smiled a little. Jackson had already told him many times that he had made his life like a robot and that he should take time for himself, but Adwin ignored his advice every time.

"Now if you permit, can this robot go see his friend like a human before she gets really mad at me?" He jokingly asked for permission in a polite way.

Jackson laughed a little at his manner because he didn't have to get his permission. "Okay, you go and have fun just like a human being, and don't think about work too much".

"Command accepted," he said jokingly and hung up the phone.

Then he looked in the mirror again and the feeling of meeting Ainsley brought an uncontrollable smile to his face.

Kevin was driving when he got a call from William. He put the call on speaker and started talking.

"I'm about to reach the university, I'll come and talk there," he said, just as he reached out to hang up the phone, William's voice immediately came from the other side.

"Don't hang up the phone, I'm in the police station"

Kevin immediately stopped the car after hearing his words. "What???" He was very shocked. He had a look of surprise on his face.

"Yes," he said with a guilty tone.

"For what crime?" He asked in a questioning manner a little angrily.

Hearing this, William was shocked for a moment and immediately spoke. "Hey!!! I am not a criminal."

"Then why did you go to the police station? To talk to the officers?" he said sarcastically.

He spoke a little angrily because William had been to the police station three times before for drunk driving and Kevin had rescued him all three times. And then William promised that he would never drink and drive again. Kevin felt that he had broken his promise and was again caught by the police for drunk driving. That is why he was angry.

"You are normally such a calm person, but why do you get so angry all of a sudden?"

He had just said this when an officer from behind asked him to finish his talk quickly. William was about to say something, but hearing the officer's words, Kevin took a deep breath and controlled his anger, and said.

"Which police station are you in?"

Then William told him the name of the place, so he drove his car and returned from the university to the police station.

"William, if you have driven the car while you're drunk, then this time you deserve to spend the night at the police station," he said angrily to himself in a low voice.
