13-Uncomfortable

Elijah and Ezra were talking while drinking coffee, but Ezra was feeling sleepy again and again.

Elijah looked at him silently for a moment and then said, "You're sure you'll be able to drive the car to go back home in this condition right now?" He asked in a questioning manner.

Ezra took a deep breath and looked at Elijah with a slight smile, "Well, believe me, I don't even have the courage to walk right now. I've been so tired of constantly waking up for the last two nights," he replied with a tired manner.

Listening to him, Elijah looked at him and took a deep breath. "Well, I've never seen a boy as careless as you. A man cares at least a little bit about himself too. How long will you just worry about others and not your own?" Elijah asked while taking the last sip of coffee, picking up their empty cups, and walking towards the washing sink.

Ezra looked at him and smiled slightly, "What's the use of living just for yourself?" He asked in a questioning manner.

Hearing this, he turned his back and looked at him. Elijah was expecting the same answer from him.

Ezra has been like this since childhood, always thinking of others before himself.

"How is Hannah now?" Elijah asked.

"Better than before, but doctors say she may try to commit suicide again, so they'll keep her in hospital for a few more days."

Elijah nodded in agreement, "Yes, that's right, this is not the first time she has attempted suicide. That is why this time she should be treated completely by a psychologist," Saying this, he started washing the cups. "Did Sir Gavin come back from America?" He asked in a questioning tone as he washed the cups.

Elijah looked at him questioningly, "Say I'm listening," he said while looking at him.

"Sir Gavin has remarried."

"What???" He was shocked to hear this. "How do you know?" He asked shockingly.

Elijah looked at him with questioning eyes for a long time.

Ezra took a deep breath as he looked at him and then said, "I've seen him with someone,...I mean with Miss Iviz at the university, and I heard them by mistake.... That is how I know about their marriage." he said embarrassedly, bowing his head.

Hearing all this, Elijah stood there for a long time, staring at Ezra with silence and meaningful eyes. He couldn't believe it. "Isn't his first marriage a love marriage too?" he said a little angrily.

"Yes," said Ezra, shaking his head in affirmation.

"I could never have imagined that he would turn out so unfaithful to his wife? He didn't even think about his daughter..." Saying this, he put his arms on the sink and bowed his head. He was in great pain knowing this.

Ezra looked at him in silence for a few moments. He knew how much he respected professor Gavin. He was Elijah's favorite teacher. Elijah didn't like disloyal people. And that is why this thing hurts him so much.

Gavin was their university professor, and Hannah was Gavin's only daughter and their classmate and friend.

"Did you tell Bella aunty and Hannah about this?" He asked in a questioning tone while looking at him.

At his question, Ezra immediately shook his head in denial," I did not tell them this and I do not intend to tell them,"

And anyway, no one should drive in such fatigue, and what do you have to do now by going home at night? even though your family is out of the country and there are still two days of holidays left to open the university, so why don't you stay here with us?" Ezra stood silently for a few moments, smiling and watching him. It was a pleasant surprise for him. Elijah had been his friend since childhood, but he never talks freely with anyone except a few. Not even with him, that is why Ezra liked this change of his very much.

"Well, I do not have any problem staying here, just the condition is that I will not stay in the guest room," he said with a slight smile.

"You don't need privacy?" He asked Ezra in a questioning manner.

Ezra knew what he was trying to say, even though Elijah had never talked about it before ever because he hated that kind of thing that he was now trying to say. That was all he could say and then he fell silent and then he sat down on the chair next to him. And he bowed his head and touched his face. He was not at all comfortable talking about it.

Now Ezra was standing there quietly watching him. He knew that he was not at all comfortable talking about these things. But he would be so uncomfortable with these things that he found out today. He was amazed that in this day and age when these things were so normal, how could anyone be so uncomfortable talking about these things and really dislike them. Then he took a deep breath and came close to Elijah and put his hand on his shoulder.

Elijah just sat with his head bowed.

"If you're not comfortable talking about all of these things, leave it at that... And do you really think that I would invite someone to my friends' house to spend the night with me?" He asked in a questioning manner.

After hearing this, Elijah looked at him in silence for a few moments.

Ezra was looking at him with surprise and questioning eyes.
