The Blair Forest (5)

"Can you explain to me what is going on?" Grace asked confused, after all, she who was Jacob's partner, had no idea what was going on.

"I'm going to create my reign and I can't do it alone."

"I understand, but you could have told me about this."

After Grace spoke, Jacob stood up as he answered her:

"This new goal of mine came up last night, so I started making it a reality in the morning, because of that, I haven't had many opportunities to tell you."

"Oh, sorry..."

"Don't worry about it, I'll tell you all the details later, now go get ready, we're leaving in 30 minutes." Jacob said those words and then walked towards the door and left.

After he left, Grace lowered her gaze sadly, but returned to normal soon after and began to get ready...

As Jacob walked down the stairs, he noticed Helena talking to the other adventurers and asked:

"Are the preparations For the expedition ready?" As he said that, all attention was turned to him and Helena replied:

"Yes, we are leaving in 5 minutes. Where is Grace?"

"We'll go when she comes down, so you can sit down, because it's going to take her a while to get ready."

"What? Why is she getting ready now? Didn't we agree to leave in the morning?"

Sighing, Jacob sat down in front of the counter and answered Helena

"I know, but I decided to let her sleep longer than she should and don't ask the reason for that. But if you guys don't want to wait, you can go ahead, me and her will go later."

"No, we will wait until she is ready." Helena didn't want to risk going into the forest and possibly bumping into the witch, so she will wait grace, because she will undoubtedly be her biggest weapon in the forest.

Jacob nodded upon hearing Helena's answer and after this little dialogue, there was an uncomfortable silence between them and to end it, Helena asked curiously:

"Are you a mage? Why don't I see your sword at your waist."

"No, I am not a mage and yes, I do have a sword, but it is put away at the moment."

"Aaaah, do you have a space ring?"

"Something like that."

Suddenly, Willian, the man who had caused trouble with jacob and grace yesterday, entered the conversation and apologized to jacob saying:

"I'm sorry about last night, I ended up acting like a jerk because of alcohol. I just want you to know that I respect both you and your partner."

Upon hearing the words being directed at him, Jacob looked at William and asked confused:

"What did you do last night?" Jacob asked confused, he clearly did not remember that man.

"What, you don't remember me? I was that guy who threw a bottle at your partner."

"Aaah, now I remember.... But don't worry about the past, after all, you've already received your punishment, haven't you?" Jacob finished speaking and looked at Willian's arm which seemed to have been regenerated.

"Yes..." this line sounded like sadness and regret, but Jacob couldn't do anything about it, but he still said:

"You get from the world what you give to the world. Just use your brain next time, so you will do well."

"Yes sir! Thanks for the advice."

Jacob nodded in response and asked Helena something that was catching her attention:

"How many will be going on this expedition?"

"Hm, 15 adventurers plus you and grace. Normally it was supposed to be 18 adventurers, but unfortunately two dropped out."

"I understand, but are the rest of you strong?"

"I am the only platinum rank, the rest are gold and silver."

"Okay, that's enough."

Upon hearing Jacob's sentence, Helena was confused and asked:

"Enough for what?" she asked while waiting for Jacob's answer, but before he could answer, sounds of footsteps were heard along with grace's voice saying:

"I'm ready, so how about we go now?"

Everyone looked at grace surprised at her sensuality, including Jacob. Grace was wearing a long black overcoat made of synthetic leather, along with a black suit made of bonded synthetic leather that preserved her beautiful curves and feminine parts.

With a sword at her waist, Grace walked all the way down the stairs and asked in confusion:

"Why are you staring at me?

"Cof-cof, So we're going to go?" Helena asked the others and they quickly agreed and all walked out of the establishment except for grace and jacob.

"Hm, why were they staring at me?" Grace asked curiously to jacob and he answered with the utmost reassurance:

"It's because you look beautiful."

"Ah... Right... So, shall we get going?" Grace quickly began to walk hurriedly outside, but when she had passed him, jacob caught a glimpse of her red cheeks and smiled. After that, he followed her and the two of them left the guild....

Meanwhile in the Dwarven Kingdom, Raphael opened his eyes and noticed his tired body from the night before and looked at the five half-naked girls sleeping peacefully beside him and sighed tiredly. After sighing, he carefully stood up and walked to the window of the room he was in.

As he reached the window, raphael began to breathe in that fresh morning air and heard astrid's voice speaking:

"I received a message from the human kingdom intelligence service, saying that they have found the location of jacob voss."

Raphael became interested in this matter and asked:

"They want us to resolve the situation and kill him?"

"Yes, it seems they have sent some heroes to kill him too."

"Tsk, where is he?"

"He's in Paris, it seems he's on his way to the blair forest, along with the hero grace."

"Hm..." Raphael was thoughtful for a while whether or not to show up, but after a while, he said what he thought:

"I don't want to face him yet, so we won't go."

"Hm, but if he dies for the heroes and you don't get a chance to face him?"

Suddenly, raphael started to laugh as if he was laughing at a joke and replied:

"Hahaha, he won't be killed, Jacob voss can't die! Even fate itself couldn't kill him, who will say some pathetic heroes."

"Do you think he's some kind of god to have such confidence in that?" Astrid asked irritated and raphael replied as he looked at the horizon:

"He is not a god and that is exactly why we should fear him..." Raphael was confident in what he believed, why he had found out that jacob had no mana, so to see that a man with no mana could fight on equal footing with a rank god, was an absurd feat to tell the truth, so at the very least you should respect him not only as a human being, but also as a warrior.
