Chapter 20

It was now my ninth birthday, the date was the fourth of September 1988, I was actually having a lot of fun, Sirius and mother together got together a few of our future Hogwarts class together for a few meet ups once in a while, included in those we met up in the past four or five months are one Neville Longbottom, Susan Bones, Hannah Abbot, Theodore Nott Junior, Daphne and Astoria Greengrass, Pansy Parkinson, those were the important ones that is.

One Ronald Weasley had been present for just one of these meets, when we were all talking about our goals for the future when a couple of the girls namely Iris and Daphne said they wished to be champion Duelists, he mentioned how they were girls so wouldn't be very good at it, Iris took my advice from oh so long ago and introduced his testicles to her boots. He wasn't very willing to came by again after that. I also met Luna and Ginny who weren't nearly as as eccentric in this version as one Selene lovegood wasn't dead yet and two Iris potter is female so no creepy stalking on Ginny's part.

I actually came right out and told Selene that she would die when Luna was nine due to some mistake in one of her experiments, she wasn't happy but did indeed tell me that she would take a shitload of precautions the times she'd experiment in the future. I did receive a few curious stares from her every now and then but I assume gratitude for possibly saving her life kept her from asking around or investigating how I knew that. I didn't like being so heavy handed with my knowledge but let's all face it Luna is one adorable child and none of us want to see her hurt. She had actually turned into the mascot of our little group of friends. Draco actually got along well with all of us with some training given to him by me, mother and Sirius, even Iris started liking him enough to stop threatening him with a groin stomp every now and then.

We met up with Nymphadora Tonks once in a while, she almost always had this melancholic air around her when talking about Hogwarts, I assume it's because of the whole Metamorphmagus skill set abuse she'd probably go through with any potential romantic interests. She was a funny teenager though, also spent a lot of time practicing her control over her powers when we were at the black manor. To stop involuntary changes depending on emotions. While passable at occlumnecy she didn't have a handle on the control your emotions thing. So I actually got Arcturus to teach her how to control her powers by hypothesising that emotional control may help her with control over her power, which indeed help.

We also "discovered" that iris was a parselmouth when she spoke to a couple of garden snakes in the backyard of black manor which could hold another manor in itself and still have enough space left over for a couple of swimming pools and the like. I told he about how the morons of the wizarding world called it a Dark Ability just because Voldemort and Slytherin spoke to snakes as well.

Iris grew up with the Black's and had a healthy amount of respect and appreciation of the dark arts. She learned mostly from me how most of the dark arts were termed so because some idiot somewhere delved too deep into something without proper precautions and decided to slaughter some people. Any magic used by dark lords in the past, things like Rituals, blood magic, etc were all demonized because some dark lord in the past used them to wreak havoc in the realm using them, so the ministry in all their wisdom would term the entire class of magic dark and ban their usage.

Sure there were dark rituals and such that included things like human sacrifice and so forth which should be banned. But things like the shield of Athena and the blessing of Hecate which at most used a few plants and a couple of magical reagents shouldn't be demonized to the Muggleborn as they have been.

Either way Iris would be like me when she grew up , a true grey wizard, magic is magic and intent is what makes it light, dark or something else. She was well trained by narcissa in dagger usage and in sword usage by Sirius, Arcturus and me while I had maxed out my Master job in sword user I wasn't automatically the best swordsman on the planet. The job system just increased my efficiency and damage not automatically teach things like one would assume. I still had a lot of training to do but when I mastered Sword fighting I would be ridiculously amazing with a sword. Like when I mastered all the forms and the like and the added up the Master level job i could defeat five or six Sword masters at a similar level to me simultaneously.

The job system could only affect me and the things I do directly it didn't effect the world itself and turn reality into its bitch line the gamer system would have. But it was indeed useful especially with bonuses from the various jobs being stacked. For example in my potions job, every potion I made before the job system unlocked had a let's say 100 units of efficiency, but with master level job being maxed out for the Mortal Ranks every potion I now made had a 360.36 units of efficiency that's as over two and a half times better. God know what it'll be like with a Demigod Ranked master level job or even better a Divine mastery level job.

The job levels gave either 10 percent increase or a ten percent decrease at novice level jobs or a 50 percent increase or decrease at master level jobs with each increase or decrease being stacked. I and Iris had already completed upto sixth year syllabi for over half the Hogwarts classes. We were done with Runes, potions, History of magic, Astronomy, the theory for herbology and care of creatures was also done to the same year. We were planning on begining the seventh year. Really only the wanded subjects would be any fun once we started with Hogwarts and even in those The two of us had already read a few books on magical theories as well. We actually planned on going directly to point and non verbal casting because as I put it , it is stupid to learn how to use wand movements and incantations only to have to relearn how to use point casting and nonverbal casting in five years. Why not skip the middle man altogether.

Right now iris and I were in Starfall doing our dose o daily exercise. We got into the habit of using Starfall for training our endurance and Agility training, we ran around the coastline of starfall once everyday before doing things like Yoga and the like which would help with agility and speed whole not being intensive enough to harm any future growth. It would help with our future plans on being dueling champions in this world because they make a shitload or money, almost as much as many World cup level quidditch players if not more. And I'm a great adherer to the words more money is always good. I had already made a list of various magical plants I had used in my options to date which I planned on adding into my realm at some time in the future, to get down of the rarer plants instead of just the ingredients I'd need gold. A lot of it. I decided not to take any of the house elves I currently owned into the realm as they were a bit broken due to the idiocy of my father and were prone to blurting out things without any filter of sorts.

I decided to either purchase or well basically ask my elves to make baby elves so that I could train them from birth to be the perfect Immortal Butler elves. I'd probably name them as well, proper names mind you not the stupid in canon names.

While I wasnt as close to Draco as I was with Iris I must say I was similarly fond of him, especially once he was retrained by mother after Lucius's death. I was doing well enough as the older brother figure in his life, I had taken over as principal Male role model in his eyes after father died. He studied with iris and me a lot. Not to quite the fanatic levels we did it but still enough to coast by the first three years of Hogwarts education. he was a good little brother I think, not amazing but still a good one.

Speaking of family, mother had decided to complete her healers training that she had been doing before she got pregnant with me. She was apprenticing under a healer at St. Mungo's. While her practical knowledge was incomplete she had studied enough theory over the years to complete her healing mastery. Sirius had decided to go back to his job at the Aurors office, and soon gained caiptancy of a five man team. Arcturus took back the reins of the dark sect and joined the wizengamot full time. Andromeda was actually a healer at St. mungos and Theodore 'ted' tonks was a barrister. the family black was rising in prominence once again.

I was actually begining to learn How to make solicitor pensieves from the Malfoy library, their creation was an incredibly complex mix of Charms, runes, potions, mind and ritual magic.
