Chapter 8

HOKAGE'S OFFICE

YOSHI'S POV

I'm in the Hokage's office along with Kakashi who arrived here early than me. Ibiki has left to his work after he guided me here. The room was pretty normal and plain like any other office... I guess. But still, seen the Hokage's office with my own eyes was fascinating. Except for the papers.

We waited for Hiruzen to speak his words since he's the Hokage. Seriously, he took a lot of time here. I could just go to the Hokage, slam the table and say 'Old man, can you just give me the money and show me where I'm gonna live? Don't waste anymore of my time.' Of course I can't say that out loud. Even though it's just me, Kakashi and Hiruzen in the room, everyone knew that there's also Anbus here watching us. They could slit my throat in a second before I realised it.... no, before I could finish my word.

It's not like I cared if I die, since that's what I truly want. But I at least don't want to die at other people's hands, instead I wanted to kill myself with my own hands and on my own will. And that's that too, in my past life I killed myself by stabbing a knife into my stomach and it hurts like hell. Still, it doesn't change my decision to die, but this time I wanted to die painlessly and of course never wake up again.

After a few minutes of waiting, Hiruzen FINALLY turned his attention from the papers to me.

'Yep. Put all your attention to me. I'm the main case here right now. Not the papers. They're just a 'side quest' that need to be completed at later time.' I said in my mind with relieved that we actually got down to business.

"Alright Yoshi, I will register your name into the system for you to be the citizen of the Konoha Village. As promised, I give you 1000 Ryo and a place to live. Kakashi will take you to your new home. He'll also explain to you the details later. Now, any questions?" asked Hiruzen.

"No, Hokage-sama. I appreciate it."

I'm glad that Hiruzen made his speech short since he was busy. I could see that. Then, he ordered us to leave, so it's just left me and Kakashi at the entrance of the Hokage's building.

I asked him to help me shopping for groceries and new clothes and a pair of shoes since I've been barefoot since the beginning. After that he took me home.

YOSHI'S HOUSE

"From now on you'll live here. The Hokage will pay for the rent and the bills. You only need to care about other necessities. After you graduate from the academy, you're on your own." said Kakashi.

'Ahh~ I almost forgot about the academy.'

I nodded at him and then he disappeared out of thin air. I went in to my new house and observed the surrounding. It looked kinda same with Naruto's house. It's just there was no balcony.

"Now, what should I do first?"
