The Story of the Twins
A hundred years ago, the bustling city filled with powerful people and magic was only a tiny village filled with desperate refugees that sought shelter during a terrible war. It was the age of darkness, and most people had horror or dread in their hearts, not knowing the future that was before them. Little did they know that incoming heroes in the form of two young twins who had the power to change the world were on the horizon.
The twins are fraternal and one is a girl and one is a boy. The girl is a master in any weapon given to her, but despite her mercilessness in battle, she proves graceful in her movements. The brother, on the other hand… He could not even lift a simple sword. He was crippled at a young age, so he would not be able to walk. Her sister, the young girl, nurses him due to this. She carries him with her when they need to travel and keeps him at a safe spot when they are being hunted down. Although he had his disabilities, he did not let himself be a hindrance to his own sister. Although he is not able to ace in any fighting techniques, he can cover that by casting more powerful magical spells than any of the most powerful wizards could cast.
They became strong because they were orphans. Their parents told them to run as far as they could, because the country's enemies had killed their parents during the war. Because of this, the two siblings vowed to protect each other. The sister learned how to fight and worked as a mercenary, while the brother could heal and support. They've been through a lot together, and their bond is stronger now.
One day, they came across an idyllic village. They thought it might be another short stop, but were welcomed with the silence and the dread of the inhabitants. Their hearts filled with anxieties and sadness from the war between their former countries. They decided to stay and talk about the people's worries, and after a while, the twins decided that they would be watching over these people throughout their stay. They would do their best to make sure that they were safe and well-taken care of. Some say they would have regretted it. Not only is the village feeling low, but creatures no one could describe haunt the village every so often. The twins? Instead of running away, they gathered a group of capable mercenaries and promising persons so they would be able to fight for the village and slowly build peace. Little by little, bit by bit; The villagers gathered their hope because of the twins, and they grew to support their heroes.
Their team and allies had become their close friends as well; the sister experienced love and loyalty, and the brother was given a chance to walk with a tinkerer. The villagers of the unnamed village shared a relative peace amid the war. Not everything that is beautiful will last a long time though. During one of the twin's combats, most of their team had been killed. The only survivor of the fight was the sister. Distraught, the sister rushed to her dying brother's side, trying to convince him to fix his injuries. This was because she had no knowledge of first aid, and the only person who was healing her as his brother. Alas, they both had no time as the undefeated creature struck its killing blow on them.
The villagers mourned for the twins and honored their achievements and deeds throughout their lives. They picked up their last names when they introduced themselves, and named their village in honor of them. Liber Village. The quiet village slowly became a large and prominent city, until buildings grew tall and mighty and the villagers grew to become powerful casters and magic users. They integrated their prowess into the positive improvements of the city.
