The shadow beasts looked at the walls of Haven. The dons had given them top-secret information. They had reached the island using a submarine to go undetected. Then they used Bat's ability to locate the base.
"Worm go deliver the explosives, place them anywhere that looks important." Owl handed Worm a small bag before he dove underneath the death and tunneled towards Haven.
"So we just have to sit here and wait. That doesn't seem like much fun." Dog said as he scratched his neck as he looked around excitedly, "You know I heard that the Hunter's Associations Chairman is in there. I wonder what reward we'll get for killing him."
Owl shook his head, "If we have time but remember that our main target is their leader Leon Zoldyck." Dog snorted, "You never let us have any fun."
At that moment, something exploded inside Haven's walls. Leech smiled. "It looks like that's our queue."
----
Leon was watching the beast horde tearing apart the Mafia's meager forces when something exploded. Leon immediately jumped to his feet and pressed the intercom, "Butch, what the hell was that."
"We are under attack, sir. We have identified six individuals as part of the Shadow Beast, the Mafia's most powerful nen users. They placed explosives around the entire base. We have fifty casualties so far and several wounded."
"Focus on repairing the damage and preventing any injuries, get the medics up and ready. I'll take care of our guests." Leon growled as he unbuttoned his suit, "Are you sure you want to do this on your own."
Leon turned to Uvogin, "I failed, and as a result, my people are dead and dying. Besides, this will be a good warm-up."
----
The shadow beasts stepped into Haven and looked in the distance at the burning buildings, "They didn't expect a thing. How many did you think Worm got." Dog asked when Worm popped up from the ground next to him.
Owl glared at Dog, "Focus, we need to find our target Bat do your thing." Bat opened his mouth and let out a sonic wail that was a too high pitch for anyone to hear it."
Bat closed his mouth, "There is someone powerful running our way, I think it's him." Dog laughed, "Good, we don't even have to search for our target. This is going to be a breeze."
Leon was furious. The Mafia had destroyed what he had worked on yet again. Leon promised himself that after this, he and Uvogin would have a field day.
When Leon spotted the six figures standing by the destroyed wall, he could also see his men's corpses bleeding out on the ground.
Leon's rage erupted as he let out all his aura, the temperature dropped several degrees, and the forest fell silent. "You have all made a grave mistake, but I shall enlighten you before I send you to hell."
The shadow beast immediately realized that Leon wouldn't be an easy target. They knew that most of them wouldn't survive through the night.
Worm dove back underground as he waited for Leon to drop his guard when engaging with the others. Bat opened his mouth and let out a sonic wail, this time. The earth shook from the vibrations.
Leon stopped the air in front of him, preventing the sound from traveling. As Leon was doing that, Dog howled, and he charged Leon his teeth and claws bared. Drawing his sword, Leon faced Dog as he tried to claw and bite him.
As he stepped back, Leon jumped, avoiding Worm's attempt to grab his ankles. "Don't think I forgot about you!" Leon teleported next to Worm pulling out his sword and cutting off his hand.
Leon then blocked Dog's bite with his blade before kicking him in the stomach, sending him flying. Bat opened his mouth to send out another sonic wail, but Leon saw it coming and froze the air around his head.
Bat's eardrums burst as his attack rebounded at full force. Worm tried to grab him once more, but Leon jumped, putting him right into the path of Dog. Holding up his forearm, Leon felt Dog's jaws dig into his bones.
Grabbing him by the neck, Leon ripped Dog off of him and slammed him to the ground. Dog growled, "Why the hell are you moving. I injected enough tranquilizer to kill an elephant."
Leon smiled as he snapped Dog's neck, "That won't work on me." Leon felt something grab his foot before pulling him into the ground.
Before he could free himself, Leon felt thousands of needles stab him. Looking down at his arm Leon glared at Porcupine. Raising his fist, Leon tried to slam the small man against the ground, but his hairs acted as a cushion.
Porcupine laughed in his high pitch voice, "Sorry, that won't work on me. I can control the hair on my body."
Smiling, Leon started focused, and the air around them began to heat up. His skin turned bright red, and the ground started to smoke. In a bright flash of light, Porcupine was instantly incinerated the air reached the sun's temperature.
Worm also didn't escape unscathed as the earth around him turned to molten slag. Leon protected himself by freezing a layer of air around his skin, leaving him entirely unharmed.
Standing up, Leon looked at the two remaining Shadow Beasts, "I suggest you don't run, it will just make your death that much slower."
