The Gathering Storm

Every time Alucard does a slash, Alice takes a leap backward. When he lunges, she dodges to the side. Alucard suspected that maybe Alice was just toying with him. Trying to make him go all out in hopes of tiring him out. When he saw her tenacious grin, he confirmed his suspicion. He then knelt down to catch his breath, thrusting his heavy Greatsword through the dirt. Alice then gave out a menacing smile and said "Oh, already done with your fancy attacks? Guess it's my turn to show you what I can do" coyly.

Alice charged right at him at full speed. Her claws all extended and aimed right at Alucard's face and torso. But Alucard wasn't tired, he's just pretending that he was in order to draw her closer. And right when before Alucard was at arm's reach, he pulled out his Greatsword from the earth and spun his body with his arm extended and hit Alice right on her right side. Alice stumbled right across her accomplice and Hilda, who was too busy at their quarrel to even give a care about her.

Hilda wasn't able to retrieve her axe, so she fought the accomplice with bare hands. Now you may think that the man has the upper hand on this fight, but to be frank she likes crushing her enemies with her bare hands rather than using the axe. But every time she thought she had an opening, the man just disappears out of sight and ending up reappearing behind her trying to pull out a fast one.

But when the fight was just getting better, a bouncy orb landed right at the center, immediately stunning the four of them thus halting the feud. A voice bellowed deep in the woods. "Stop the fight this instant!".

When the group was able to move, they've kept their distances between each other, carefully eyeing each opposing team. Turns out that it was Gord who stopped the fight. "You said you'll be gathering resources, and after thirty minutes this is what you've been up to?" Gord said to Alucard

"But I just got here. I hunted down the culprit who's been killing these animals for sport. It's that demon fool that's shorting our food source."

"Who's the other woman?"

"I don't know but she's chill. Helped me stop those bastards over there"

"I am Hilda" Hilda introduced herself "And like Abucar, I've been hunting the culprit as well"

"It's... Alucard actually" Alucard corrected

"And how about you, Gusion? What's your Alibi?"

"They suddenly just jumped at us out of nowhere. Who in the world does that? So in my defense, they didn't do the 'friendly approach'." Guison said.

"Wait, you two know each other?" Alucard said.

"Not quite. We've exchanged names once and that's it." Said Gord.

"Gusion..." Gord continued. "Why are you with that demon?"

"Who, Alice?" Said Gusion before turning at her. "We've met in the forest not just long ago. I thought that were the only ones who've escaped the corruption. Anyways, long story short I am not her accomplice. I was just merely following her."

"That sounds like what an accomplice would totally do... Wait a minute Gord, how did you find us?" Alucard asked Gord.

"Look, the forest is a very quiet place, alright? Firstly, a mighty shout is all I need to know something is wrong. And secondly, it was your voice that I kept hearing. You seem to be frequently shouting at the top of your lungs."

"Oh, sorry to make you worried Gord. Demons just tick me off. And the fact that a demon is depriving our potential supply of sustenance made matters even worse for me." Alucard said.

"Let's get back to camp." Gord said.

"Hilda, you must come. We might need your muscles for something very important." Alucard said.

"Of course," Hilda said with a grin. "There's nothing better for me to do anyways with all this apocalypse thing happening."

"Why should I be with imbeciles such as the four of you? I can handle myself just fine. I don't need something to weigh me down." Alice protests.

"The hell?! Who invited you to come along? You're lucky that we have important matters to deal with or you've already been dead on the spot!" Alucard exclaimed

"So you're a demon hunter, huh? Tell me, name one demon that you've already been killed."

"They never bothered to tell me their names not because I killed them quickly but mainly because I don't care. But soon there's gonna be among those whom I've killed, and it's gonna be Alice, an arrogant demoness who can't just shut her damn mouth"

"Wait, Alucard. She might be the one we need in order to stop the purity"

"Purity? isn't it just the corruption in disguise?" Guison asked.

"Oh, you have to be kidding me! We can't let this demon work with us!" Alucard said.

"Who told you nitwits that I'll be working with you? Why should I care?"

"Think of it this way... If all the creatures here one day ran out, what will happen to you?" Asked Gord.

"Then YOU will be next. And then after that, the rest of you shall follow."

"...And after that?"

Alice remained silent. She knows that there's no way to survive the forest if all sources of food run out. She asked what's in it for her, in which Gord replied by saying "Simple, you can start terrorizing again and we'll pretend that nothing ever happened between us. The sooner we stop this purity, the sooner you can do your thing."

Alice stared right at Alucard and said "Mmmmnn... Do you perhaps need me more for some... other means... besides destroying the purity?" in a playful way.

"I swear... If you lay as much as a finger on me I will murder you. This is your first and final warning" Alucard said in a monotone voice.

"Don't worry, hun. I wouldn't even dream of it." Alice said before giving Alucard a wink.

The group picked up all the available food along the way back to camp. Alucard built two more shelters plus one for Alice, in which he did with a heavy heart. He built Her shelter a little bit more further than the group's and none of them even noticed it.

It took Alucard one hour for each shelter built using his previously gathered resources along with Gusion and Hilda's help. After done building, he grabbed Gord's attention and secretly signaled him to come with him.

They then had a private talk with Alucard starting the conversation with "Why her?"

"Because she might be the key in defeating all of this. She's the most impure one available."

"So you're using her as a sacrificial lamb? For a demon hate-filled guy I say that that's just wrong."

"No, you got it all wrong. We will try both our ideas out without sacrificing a single soul."

"So..." Alucard said while kicking the dirt, with his head hanging low. "What's the plan then?"

"Tomorrow..." Gord paused, then scans the horizon.

"We attack at dawn"
