New upgrade

I took out a bottle of water from my backpack and downed it in one gulp, I was really dehydrated from running aimlessly in the dim jungle.

Then I took out a canned food and began munching like a barbarian. You can't really blame me, cause I could bet some players were huddled up in a corner, sobbing like kid's.

I wanted to try out something I wasn't sure of, I couldn't access or summon anything in my status, but... I didn't need my status to use a skill.

So I wanted to check if I could still use my skills.

'Spirit vision' I muttered, with Lilith in mind.

-

A girl who was putting on a black crop top with a baggy brown tactical pant and a white sneakers, could be seen restlessly pacing around a small room which only had a small bed, a closet, a small brown door to the side, and a large blue door to another side.

She was grabbing her long black hair which had red streaks all around, and was blinking her red eyes occasionally.

She suddenly paused her steps and looked around vigilantly like she had felt another presence in the room.

When she didn't notice anything weird, she walked over to her bed where there were three bulging camping backpack's and a rectangular suitcase.

'How was she able to get here on time with all these bags?' I thought to myself.

The girl shuddered and leaped back quickly, while pulling out a dagger which was hooked horizontally to her belt, behind her waist.

"W-who said that?" She asked, while scanning the room vigilantly.

My jaw almost dropped to the floor, she could hear my thoughts?... That's new.

'uhh... Hello?' I thought again, just to be sure.

"Who the f*ck are you? H-how are you doing that?" She asked again, with a frown.

'I am he who decides the fate of the world... Just joking, It's Leo' I said in my mind with a chuckle.

"Is this a skill? or... Are you dead?" She asked suspiciously, still on guard.

'It's just a trashy skill, nothing to be proud of' I said casually.

"Can you also see me?" She asked, and sheathed her dagger behind her waist.

'Yeah... What's really going on? Is this how dungeon floors run?' I asked with uncertainty.

"This isn't a dungeon floor, I know that for sure... The goblins were just a farce to misdirect me. And whoever could redirect a dungeon portal without any of us noticing... Is definitely a God" she replied through gritted teeth.

'I thought you said you already took care of that? The god's finding us?' I asked in surprise.

"I thought so too..." Her words were cut short by a pop-up window.

[Reuse/Cancel]

"Woah... Are these the specks of a tier1 class?" I asked in surprise.

Then I tapped the 'Reuse' option.

"Hey! You still there? Leo?!" I saw Lilith calling out.

'Yeah, network issues' I said with a chuckle.

"Network? Nevermind... Where are you?" Lilith asked and sat on her bed.

'I'm in a room just like yours, I had to kill two guys' I said with a sigh.

"Kill? Why?... Don't tell me you killed your roommate" Lilith asked in confusion.

'Roommate? What are you talking about?' I asked in confusion too.

"...Have you checked where this door leads to?" She asked, pointing to the small brown door in her room.

I stood up from my bed and walked to the brown door in my room... Yeah, I could see and move too. My vision were split in two, I could see Lilith in her room and I could also see where I was.

That's new... Previously, my consciousness gets teleported to the location of the skill target, and when the skill ends, I find myself sprawled on the floor.

I love this upgrade.

I opened the small brown door and found an identical room to the one I was in, but there wasn't a blue door.

"If we were meant to have roommates... Then why was I attacked by the bald guy? And why did the system tell me to kill them?" I asked in confusion.

[I never told you to kill the both of them.]

"What?!!" I screamed out in surprise, "Are you playing games with me now? I knew I shouldn't have trusted you!"

"Leo?! Are you okay? Who are you talking to?" Lilith asked.

"Uhmm... My inner roommate, haha" I said, while laughing awkwardly.

"Are you sure you're okay?" She asked again.

"Yeah... I'm completely fine" I replied while smiling to myself.

"Okay... If you already have a roommate then I believe you know the house rules" she said, and began unpacking her bulging backpack's contents.

"What rules? And why are you unpacking?" I asked in confusion.

"Leo... You know you can talk to me, are you really okay?" She paused and asked.

"Yeah... Do I sound weird to you?" I asked while rubbing my neck awkwardly.

"...The house rule is that if more than two people are in a house, someone would randomly get eliminated automatically in ten seconds by the house, if the extra person isn't eliminated by the room dweller's" she recited, "I learnt that the hard way".

'Ohh... The bald guy attacked me because we were three, and what the system meant was to kill one person' I muttered to myself in realization.

"Did you say something?..." Lilith paused again and asked.

"N-no, so where's your roommate?" I asked, to cover up my stupidity.

"He's dead" she replied casually, and resumed unpacking her stuffs.

"Why's that?" I asked in confusion.

"He tried to touch me" she replied with a shrug.

[Reuse/Cancel]

I tapped the 'Reuse' option again.

"Okay... So why are you unpacking?" I asked again.

"...You know, I think it's better you figure things out yourself... Yeah" she paused and said, "Don't just sit there and ask me questions, and... Stop spying on me, okay?"
