In the blink of an eye, ten days had passed.
On the vast open land outside the original Queyue Scattered Tribe's stone village, simple stone houses were built, stretching for several miles. Around these stone houses, simple fences were constructed from ancient trees that were more than ten meters long and as thick as hug. The fences were only about three meters in height.
On the wooden fences, a bronze giant crossbow gleamed with threatening light every ten meters. Taut beast-hide strings tightly strung the meter-long black iron arrows, aiming at the ancient forest several miles away. Patrols of war soldiers were stationed in the camp or patrolling outside.
Around the perimeter, watchtowers over ten meters high were constructed every mile. Similarly, on top of each watchtower, a giant crossbow shone with a chilling light. Ten or so soldiers were stationed on the towers, guarding the safety of the tribe and watching for wild beasts that might suddenly emerge from the wilderness.
