Humiliation

Spade stopped his cycle in front of the entry gate. He was finally here. The place where the exams to select the next batch of the Predators are gonna take place. He parked the cycle and went inside.

When he opened the door of the hall, he saw that there were a bunch of people already inside. Of course, many people would give the exam. If they pass, they will earn a name in the kingdom as well as have a good sum of money every month.

"Damn. There must be at least 500 people here. This lot is too much. And it's so noisy!" Spade thought to himself.

Suddenly, the speakers that were on the four corners of the room turned on.

"Hello there, new aspiring Predators. We welcome you to the Beast Exams! Here, you will be examined for your strength, speed and focus. Remember, being a Predator is NOT easy. It requires you to train your body and mind as well as learn how to summon and tame your Animal's Soul! Some of you may have already been born with the ability to control your beast, however many need training. And you will be trained by the highest level Predators if you pass this exam!

Now, the Apex Predator and the King of the Kingdom, King Soufu will arrive with his beloved wife, Queen Naiwa along with their trusted, Highest Order Predators!"

"Whaaat? The royals are arriving here?!" Spade though excitedly. "Especially the Apex Predator?! I gotta observe him, as that title is gonna be mine soon, haha." He giggled.

Music started playing as the door that was on the top platform opened. And from inside came the royals, the King Soufu and Queen Naiwa, along with four people surrounding them from four sides. They were the Highest Order Predators that were mentioned earlier.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! They are here!"

Everyone started clapping as the king and the queen waved.

As the queen was waving, she caught a glimpse of Spade. Spade noticed this and waved at her happily.

"That woman doesn't knows she won't be the queen for long haha!" Were the words in his mind while he was waving.

He expected a wave in return, but instead, what he got was a face of disgust.

"Silence! Everyone!" The queen shouted through her microphone.

The room went quite. The queen pointed at Spade.

"Is that the infamous Lower Class resident I see?" She said.

Immediately, everyone in the room had their eyes on Spade. He looked left and right confused.

"Dear, is this really how you wanna start?" The king said.

"You know honey that I can't handle those disgusting scumbags. Especially not when they dare to step on our land!"

The king sighed. He too, couldn't help because he was too creeped out by Spade.

"Wait? What do you mean? I mean, of course I am inferior to you. But does that means I have no right to be here?" Spade asked.

"Yes. You are INFERIOR to us. Not only you, your family and your whole neighborhood! You are supposed to work under us, clean our shoes, wash our clothes and other things. Who gave you the right to stand with us, scum?!" The queen ranted.

Every one in the room started laughing. Spade was feeling ashamed, and for a thing which is not even his fault.

"Wait, but does that mean I cannot go be the exa-"

"You. Are. Not. Worthy for an exam like this. Go you eat shit." The queen interrupted. "Guards."

People arrived from the stairs and grabbed Spade by his arms. Spade just stood. He did not wanted to cause unnecessary ruckus.

The guards started to drag him outside the Hall as everyone else was laughing and mocking him.

But before his leg stepped out of the Hall, he stopped. The guards tried to force him out, but couldn't move his body. He looked back at the royals with a dead look.

"You guys said quite some things to me here. And so, I say it too." He pointed at them. "I... Am soon gonna take that crown for myself. And you could do nothing about it. Have my word." He said as he stepped out of the room and the doors closed.

The queen was disgusted, and the king was shocked. He was shocked not because of what Spade said, but because of what he saw in his eyes.

"Did you notice that too, My Majesty?" One of the Predator standing beside the king said.

"Yes.... Yes I saw that too..."
