Chapter 7 - Secret Missions

In the middle of a jungle, blood oozes in Zenki's shoulder while a root puncturing it. His feet is no longer movable as roots and vine tied tightly.

Mich hiding in a big root just enough to cover her saw the situation. 'I should help him, I still didn't try to use my skill but I at least should try.' Mich creep out of the root, finding a good spot to shoot her skill 'Ice Spike'.

The sharp and stabbing pain on Zenki's shoulder didn't affect his thinking which at the moment is still thinking a good solution. He wandered 'I just need a single second of distraction and I can summon my dagger on my right hand it throw it to him. But, how should I distract him?'. Zenki totally forgetting about Mich is currently having a headache thinking of a solution.

"What do you mean bounty?" he asked to kill some time while he thinks of solution.

"Oh? You don't know. Hmm, you offended someone who you're not supposed to offend. It's over 1,000,000 credits for your head. Easiest money I ever had."

Zenki was dumbfounded. Who the f*ck did he offend? And is the Dragonoid really that important to them? Well the Dragonoid do have some extremely good loot. But, who would put such huge bounty. Even Julius wouldn't waste such money. "Oh! I have a good advice for you!" Zenki yelled seeing a glimpse of Mich at the man's back.

"Well, I just need to knock you off and deliver you myself. So this will be your last sentence, make it worth." he sneered.

"Don't count the chicks until the eggs completely hatched." he said while summoning his dagger on his other hand.

"You still have the courage t-" he didn't finish his sentence, feeling a sharp and cold pain stabbing on his back. Although the pain isn't really that much, he's still startled for he didn't expect it happen.

Jake turned his head out of shock, looking at where the attack came from. Looking at the direction he saw a beautiful young lady wearing an oversized black hoodie. But before he could even react he already felt numbness on his chest filling his entire body. Soon he felt the an immense pain on his chest exactly where the numbness started.

Looking at his chest he saw a dark green dagger impaling on it. His dumbfounded expression remain as he drop to the ground. Dead.

The spells of his immediately loosen and evaporated like nothing. Zenki then felt an enormous pain on his shoulder seeing a thumb big hole in it. Luckily his bones didn't get crushed. Zenki also dropped to the ground almost shrieking from the pain. He didn't understand why he didn't feel the pain when he was stab by the roots.

While Zenki's still on the ground Mich already reach for Zenki's bag. "Do you have any bandages or medicine?" she asked while searching in his bag.

"...Ye..yes..." he answered while gritting his teeth.

Mich found the bandage and some medicine. The medicine is a low class pill of anesthesia and a temporary boost regeneration. She then reached for Zenki, she extend her hand offering the pills. After consuming the it, Mich proceed to the get with the bandaging as Zenki heard a voice in his head.

"Regeneration Boost Pill (Low class) - 5.0 mins...."

"New Talent Acquired - Secret Mission - this talent is one the benefits of killing a Dragonoid. You can have Secret Missions or task and by completing it you can get this prizes randomly (Experience points, Skill Proficiency Points, Talents, and Items or Weapons)"

"(System Updated) - Due to killing a Dragonoid your spirit will have a chance to be a 'Divine Spirit'. The system is not available after the your first kill of a Dragonoid for the reason of downloading the resources and updating the system."

"Secret Mission [...]"

Zenki was shocked and clenched his muscles out of happiness. But it only resulted on more pain as the anesthesia isn't yet working. "Don't tighten your muscles it will worsen the wound" she cried as she saw the bandages soaked from blood.

"It's fine, let's hurry find your bag and we'll head to our journey." he said standing up. The anesthesia is now slowly effecting and he now didn't feel the pain too intense.

"Yes, I have high class medicine in my bag. I can give you some to help your recovery." She nodded while smiling sweetly. She lead the way and soon saw her bag. After getting the medicine inside she immediately offered it to Zenki.

The high tiered medicine is really effective as it has 5x regeneration boost for an hour. While the other one he consumed is just 2x better than normal regeneration in just five minutes.

After stretching his arm and seeing it not bleed anymore the of them proceeded to their journey exciting the jungle. Zenki didn't dare to get his barge for he knows that someone is still on pursue. They headed to the River Boat village the nearest one, they will travel for an hour or so.

Meanwhile at the Moon Lake Forest, Mike reported their encounter to Julius. "Sir Julius we saw the man. Their on a jungle at the end of the river near the easter border. Jake is now tailing them."

Julius nodded "Head there together with 10 Elite Warriors with you make sure you capture him alive."

"Yes Sir!" Mike agreed and soon sprinted leading ten Elite Warriors at his back.

Julius is now fully healed. He's still angry about the kill steal but he couldn't do anything at the moment. 'Once I capture you little sh*t, I'll show you who's the real boss!"

After an hour the duo arrived at the River Boat village "We'll split, can you buy some food? I'll go buy us a boat." Zenki said.

"Sure, but have this first!" she smiled getting Zenki's credit wallet. She transferred 10,000 credits to him and said. "This will be our finance in our journey, I still have 5,000 credits extra so I'll pay for the food for now."

Zenki agreed. Although it doesn't feel right when he take advantage, especially to a lady he can't do anything for he doesn't have money anyways. Soon he reached at the river with a boat he bought for 1,000 credits, he also bought some rope that cause 50 credits leaving him 8,950 travel money.

After a while Mich arrived at the 'port' and boarded the boat that Zenki bought and set 'sailed'. They also ate some food, while Zenki is checking out new features of his system.

"Secret Missions - (1/5)

Mission 1 - Kill 5 people using a dagger Acquired from a Dragonoid. Completed. (Prizes - 2,000 Skill Proficiency Point, Another Mission)

Mission 2 - Acquire 5 Talents (must be related to the Dragonoids). 2/5.

Mission 3 - Level up to the next Spirit Rank acquiring a type of Job Class related to Dragonoids (Elite Warrior).

Mission 4 - Kill 20 monster using a dagger acquired from a Dragonoid. 3/20.

Mission 5 - Kill the 4 Mythical Dragonoids in first Dimension. 1/4.

Zenki was again dumbfounded. The benefits of the Dragonoids really is something. And now the Secret Missions will help him in advancing very much. He also noticed the Job Class related to Dragonoid. To advance to in another type Job Class you have to provide 4-12 items( usually bones) from monster and one Weapon of the class you want in a Blessing Altar. For Zenki's case it would be the Dagger. Now he's really curious about what will the types of Job Class the Dragonoids will provide.

Usually the type Job Class will provide different attributes and advantage. Some provided all Legendary wolf Class, that provided a Wolf Embodiment Fighter (it could be any type of Job Class). Another example is an Shadow Assassin, Windstorm Swordsman, Aqua type Tank, and an Ice Mage. Only mages can have different types that's why it has advantage in early phase of cultivation.

Once you advance to a certain type of Job Class, it may also hinder you from advancing to another types as it will only provide a type that's related to your current pathway.

Unknown to Zenki while he's checking his new system he's staring to Mich which made her feel unease. She broke the silence "Hey! You're at it again, why do you always ogle at me?"

Finally bringing Zenki back to reality he jokingly said "Why can't I admire the beauty of my wife?"

Mich exploded in embarrassment as she remembered what she said earlier. She blushed and said "Hey! If my knights hear you they will get your tongue cut... Hey!! Can't you stop staring?"

"I will stop staring at you, if you stop staring at me." he winked.

Mich realising that's she's also staring at him turned completely red. She wanted to jump in the river. Everytime she try to tease him back, he'll find something that much more embarrassing that's put her lips to shut. This is her first time as a royalty to get teased cause usually she's the one who tease everyone. And because of her beauty she always suceed, but she couldn't understand why it doesn't work on Zenki. 'Maybe there's something about him.' she thought. She smiled uncontrollably turning her head to avoid eye contact.
