Chapter 5: Jaunedice & Forever Fall

Hey guys NovaFlame6_Badal here again. Thought I'd update this story, since I had some time on my hands. I'm attempting to keep the events of the cannon story as close as I can to the original for rwby. Obviously it won't be an exact carbon copy since there are saiyans around and that does change things a little.

Aiko has become part of the team. As for her pairing, I haven't quite decided just yet I have an idea of who it'll be, but I could be swayed depending on who you guys think I should have her fall for. Here are the options so far:

Oscar (volume 5 & 6)

Yatsuhashi (Team CVFY)

Turuk?

Mercury (Reformed/Good)

Other (write in/ suggestion)

Oh also, side note. This chapter will be covering episodes 11- 14 of volume 1 of Rwby, those being Jaunedice parts I & II, as well as Forever Fall Parts I and II. May make the chapter a little longer just for some pairing development, but we'll see. Anyways, that's it for now! Onto the story!

NovaFlame6_Badal does not own Dbz/ Dbz Kai/ DBS or RWBY and their characters. Those belong to Akira Toriyama and Rooster Teeth/Monty Oum respectively. He owns the main OC's and has permission to use the oc's Tarro and Daikon which are owned by ComparedDreadx.

Location: Gymnasium

It was during class and a demonstration for the rest of the students that Jaune was thrust into fighting Cardin. The blonde was thrown back before getting up and charging at the larger teen again. He swung his sword that was blocked a few times before being knocked back onto his rear end again. Jaune's shield was knocked away in the scuffle with Cardin, and he now only had a sword.

The orange haired boy approached him with his mace, looking like he was going to seriously injure him.

"This is the part where you lose.," Cardin taunted the boy.

"Over my dead-!," Jaune said before being interrupted.

Cardin knees Jaune in the gut, sending him sprawling on the ground and making him drop his sword. He raises his mace and is about to slam it down on Jaune who is very worried when Glynda's voice stops him from doing so.

"Cardin, stop! That's enough!," Glynda said. The buzzer goes off and the lights come back on.

Cardin scoffs and just walks off stage as Glynda taps a button on the screen of her scroll. She walks onto the stage and explains what happened in the match.

"As you can see Students, mr. Arc's aura has dropped into the red. In a tournament style match, that would mean that he's lost and is unfit for battle. The official can then call the match.," Glynda explained.

Jaune is still seen sitting on the floor, while Pyrrha looks on sadly. Glynda then turns to the defeated warrior and pulls up a display on her scroll of Jaune's low and blinking stats. She sighs half in frustration and half out of sympathy for the teen.

"Mr. Arc, it's been weeks now. Please try to remember to look at your scroll during combat. Gauging your aura will help decide when it's better to attack and also when it's more beneficial to move towards a more... defensive strategy. We wouldn't want you to be eaten by a Beowulf, now would we?," She said disappointed.

Cardin scoffed at this and made his disdain evident in his remark.

"Tch! Speak for yourself.," Cardin said.

That was a mistake. Glynda heard that remark.

"Mister Winchester! That.. will be quite enough out of you, young man. Do I make myself clear?," Glynda snapped at him.

Cardin didn't face her, but responded accordingly.

"Sure.," he said before walking off.

She then turns to the seated students. Yang punches her fists in excitement, Weiss is shaking her fists in excitement, and Ruby is shaking in excitement while squealing softly.

"Now remember, everyone, the Vytal Festival is only a few months away! It won't be long before students from the other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing! Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale!", Glynda said.

The bell rings as students start exiting the room. Pyrrha continues to frown sadly at this. Jaune, still sitting on the floor just hangs his head in shame as the students continue to exit the room. Well all except for a few teens, that is. Scarlett puts her hand on Pyrrha's shoulder and smiles at her friend.

"Don't worry, I'll get him up for ya.," Scarlett said as she marches down to the floor.

"Wait, Scarlett you don't have to-!," The fellow redhead started to say only to watch her friend do exactly what she said she'd do.

Scarlett marched over, dragged Jaune to his feet before speaking up.

"Come on, up ya go lazy bones!," Scarlett said.

Jaune didn't really respond, still feeling ashamed.

"I said up and at em lazy bones!," Scarlett said.

"Why should I get up? No sense in it.," Jaune said.

Pyrrha's eyes widened and she paled. Big mistake. She knew, you don't say that to Scarlett.

"💢💢💢💢 Pardon? You want to say that again, you weasel?," Scarlett asked absolutely ticked and cracking her knuckles.

Pyrrha paled even more and she tried warning Jaune as they could literally feel the room heat up due to Scarlett's temper.

"Umm.. Jaune, you should listen to her. She uh... Scarlett won't take no for answer. That's a big no no.," Pyrrha tried warning him.

Unfortunately for Jaune, it came too late.

"💢💢💢💢💢 WHEN I SAY GET UP, YOU GET UP YOU LITTLE BLONDE SHRIMP!," Scarlett said slamming him in the gut hard.

Jaune's eyes widened before going white and his body collapsed on Scarlett's arm.

"Huh... guess I hit him too hard?," Scarlett mused aloud. Turning to Pyhrra she asked the same question.

The ginger just nervously laughed before responding.

"😅 Maybe... just a bit Scarlett. Heh heh heh.," Pyhrra nervously laughed.

The scene then darkens as Scarlett and Pyrrha try to figure out what to do with an unconscious Jaune.

Cafeteria

The scene then comes back to a close up of Nora's turquoise eyes as she tells an unbelievable story to her audience.

There, the teens comprising teams rwby, jnpr, and ndtsa are listening to to the girl tell her tale.

"So... There we were, in the middle of the night...," Nora began.

"It was day..," Ren said dryly.

The camera shifts to Blake, who was paying no attention because she was reading her book. From her, it shifts to Yang who is hanging onto Nora's every word. She's cupping her face while listening. It also pans to team NDTSA, who were listening with... mostly amused looks. Daikon rolled his eyes, but listened anyway.

"We were surrounded by Ursai..," Nora said.

Ren had grabbed some coffee and was holding the mug added to what she said.

"They were Beowolves..," He said.

"Dozens of them!", Nora said.

"There were two..," Ren said.

Weiss was ignoring Nora and filing her nails, while Ruby and Pyrrha just listened politely. Jaune,

(who was awake now) was seen playing with his food.

Ruby, Pyrrha, and Scarlett look towards a distant Jaune with concern etched on their faces.

"But they were no match... and in the end, Ren and I took them down and made a boatload of Lien selling Ursa skin rugs!," Nora said finishing her story.

"She keeps having this recurring dream for nearly a month now.," Ren said sighing.

Nova sweat dropped before trying to chuckle at the...odd story.

"That's.. 😅 quite the story.. Nora.," Nova said trying to be polite. "That was such a weird dream. What kind of a story was that?!," He inwardly thought.

Pyrrha then looked to Jaune in concern before she spoke up.

"Jaune, are... you okay?," Pyrrha asked concerned.

Jaune looked up, snapping out of his trance that he was in.

"Huh? Oh, yeah! Why?," Jaune asked.

Ruby spoke up this time.

"Really? It's just that you seem a little... not okay.," Ruby said.

Scarlett nodded.

"She's not wrong, you know.," Nova said agreeing.

The others stop what was distracting them and stare at the blonde.

"Guys, I'm fine seriously! Look!," Jaune said as he holds up a thumb and starts to nervously laugh.

His attention then lands on team CRDL standing around a girl with brown hair and rabbit ears coming from out of her hair. Cardin laughs at her and Sky holds his hands up to his head in mocking interpretation of her unusual features.

Ruby then spots Nova, Turuk, Daikon, and Scarlett's tails twitching violently in anger as they see what Cardin is doing to the girl with rabbit ears. She even notices Aiko's ears and tail start twitching in anger along with her team's. Nova grits his teeth in anger the more of Cardin's antics he sees, the silver eyed girl began to get a little worried that he'd do something drastic.

Pyhrra stares at him.

"Jaune, Cardin's been picking on you since the first day of school!," Pyrrha said slightly angered.

"Who? Cardin Winchester? Nah.. he just likes messin' around! You know, practical Jokes!," Jaune said.

Ruby spoke up at this.

"He's a bully.," Ruby said emphatically earning the approving nods of team ndtsa.

"Have to say I agree with Ruby on that one Jaune.," Scarlett said.

Jaune just scoffs at this and proceeds to downplay Cardin bullying him.

"Pfft! Please! Name one time he's 'bullied' me.," Jaune said still trying to downplay the fact.

"I may be uh... new here, but there was that time in the hallway.," Aiko nervously said.

*flashback*

Jaune is seen on the way to class as Cardin is going the other way down the hall. When the two pass, Cardin knocks his arm into Jaune and makes him drop his book, then continuing on his way with his hands out as if daring anyone to challenge him.

"Ah, come on!," Jaune said frustrated.

*end flahback*

"There was also that time when you were trying to go to a different class and you ended up being late because of what Cardin did to you.," Yang said.

*flashback*

Jaune and Cardin are about to pass through a doorway, but Cardin clicks on Jaune's sheath and extends it into its shield form as he's going out, causing him to run into his own defense and have it block the exit.

grunts in frustration as he tries to lift his shield back out)

"Oh... come on...!," Jaune shouts frustrated.

*end flashback*

Daikon then speaks up with one eye shut and the other looking at Jaune.

"Oh and let's not forget that time in the locker room recently.," Daikon said scoffing further proving the point the others were making.

*flashback*

Glynda is in the locker room with several students, gesturing at the devices.

"Each of you will be assigned one rocket-propelled locker to store your weapons and extra armor. Additionally, your locker can be sent to a custom location based on a six-digit code.", Glynda explained

Hearing this, Cardin looks at Jaune - standing between him and the only open locker in the room - and the cliché plays itself out as Cardin quickly pushes a shocked Jaune into the small dark space and closes the door on him, pressing random buttons on the pad right after that.

"What?! No, wait, wait! You've gotta get me out of here! Please! Don't! Don't! Don't do it!", Jaune pleaded desperate

It's too late to protest when the locker scrunches down and launches up with a burst of blue fire coming from its base. Cardin watches as the locker slowly soars across the sky.

(still heard from within the locker)

"Ahhh, coooome oooooooon...!",Jaune screams trying to get out of the locker.

*end flashback*

Everyone is totally focused on him now.

Jaune attempted to laugh it off, just making the others more concerned about him.

"I didn't land that far from school!," Jaune said still trying to laugh the incidents with Cardin off.

Pyrrha looked at him with a concerned look on her face.

"Jaune, you know if you ever need help, you can just ask.," Pyrrha told him.

"We are your friends, Jaune. You can talk to us about it.," Turuk said.

Nora then gets up from the table and presents her diabolical plan with a not so sane grin plastered to her face.

"Ooh! We'll break his legs!," Nora said grinning.

"Guys.. it's fine really. It's not like he's just a jerk to me; he's a jerk to everyone.," Jaune said trying to still dissuade them.

They all look over as the laughter grows louder mixed in with cries of pain by the rabbit girl when one of her ears are tugged on by Cardin.

"Ow! That hurts!," the girl said struggling against Cardin's grip.

She finally stops and grimaces as Cardin's grip on her ear seemed to get tighter.

"Please... stop..," the girl pleaded.

Cardin continued to laugh as he turned to his teammates. "Told you they were real!," Cardin said laughing.

Russell who was still laughing with his teammates poked more fun at the helpless faunus girl.

"What a freak!," he said guffawing.

Daikon couldn't take it anymore and was seriously getting annoyed by Cardin and his cronies cawing. The entire team of ndtsa stood up and marched over to Cardin and his teammates. Ruby's eyes widened in horror but she was more shocked at what happened next.

Nova wasn't the one to do anything! It was Daikon. Daikon smacked away Cardin's hand hard with his tail, using it like a whip.

"I think that's enough, you overgrown carrot top!," Daikon snapped at him.

Cardin turned and was about to teach whoever hit him a lesson when he came face to face with Nova.

"Beat it.. you worthless piece of trash!," Scarlett said.

Cardin face faulted and got ticked.

"This is none of your business, little monk-!," Cardin started to say before getting the scare of his life when Nova glared at him.

He could tell, this kid was at least twice his size in muscle mass. And that glare of his... it sent chills down his spine. He did not want to mess with this guy, he'd get creamed if he did.

"What were you just about to call my teammate? Go on... I DARE YOU TO SAY IT..," Nova said glaring at the orange haired bully.

Cardin was sweating bullets now, he did not like that look. He was more scared now than he'd ever been in his life before, but he could show it.

"Scram, little Cardinal.," Nova said venomously.

This caused his teammates to snort and almost double over laughing. Humiliated, Cardin just scoffed and went the other way away from Nova.

"Tch! Russel, Dove, Sky come on this is boring now.," Cardin said as he and his team left.

Nova's features returned to normal as he turned to see his teammates, other than Aiko on the floor doubled over in laughter. He raised an eyebrow confused at their behavior.

" uh... did I say something funny?," Nova asked confused.

"Did you say something funny? Bwa ha ha ha ha ha! *Snort* Y-you said little cardinal! *snorting laughter*," Turuk said trying to compose himself.

He looked to Daikon who was doing his best trying not to snort. Then he looked to Scarlett who was having a hard time controlling her laughter.

"I-I'm sorry Nova, I just can't! *snorting laughter* Y...you actually called him little cardinal. Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Y.. you should have seen that look on his face, it.. it was priceless! Ha ha ha!, " scarlett said still laughing.

Team rwby and jnpr were in mild shock at what just happened. They could hardly speak. After Nova's team finally calmed down, they composed themselves.

The rabbit girl was shocked too but also composed herself enough to thank her saviors.

"U-um thank you for what did back there.," the girl said.

Scarlett smiled at her shook both of her hands.

"No problem. Someone had to teach that bully some manners.," Scarlett said still suppressing a fit of chuckling.

"R-Right.. 😅 A-Anyay I'm Velvet. Velvet Scarletina.," Velvet said sweat dropping at these teens antics just a minute ago.

"Velvet huh? Well then Velvet, just let us know if that bully starts to pick on you again. Okay?," Scarlett said.

Velvet nodded. She then bowed her head quickly in gratitude before walking away.

Team rwby and team jnpr finally recovered from the shock of what happened and stared at Nova and his team.

"What?," Nova asked.

Yang answered this time.

"You guys, that's what.," Yang said still flabbergasted at what she saw.

"Okay... what about us?," Daikon asked.

Pyhrra spoke up this time.

"I've.. no, we've never seen anyone stand up to Cardin and embarrass him like that before. It's... bizarre.," Pyhrra said.

They looked around, not seeing Jaune anywhere.

"Um... not to be 'that person' again but where's Jaune?," Scarlett asked.

The others than looked around and indeed Jaune was gone. He'd probably disappeared during the commotion between Cardin and Nova's team.

Pyhrra looked worried so Nova had a suggestion.

"No sense in fretting over it. We just have to look for him. Scarlett, you go with Pyhrra, Nora, and Ren. You four look at the north end of the school for him.," Nova said.

Scarlett nodded before grabbing Pyhrra by the arm and running off to search for Jaune.

"Turuk, you go with.... Yang, Blake, and .. Aiko you go too. The four of you, look at the south end.," Nova said.

Turuk was about to suggest something else when Yang grabbed him and yanked him off in the direction Nova said previously. Aiko followed after them..

"Alright that leaves... Weiss, Daikon, myself, and.. Ruby.," The dark teen said aloud. He thought about it for a minute before speaking up again.

"I'll go with Ruby and check the east side of the campus... Daikon-," He said before Daikon interrupted him.

"Yeah, yeah. I know. Myself and Shne- I mean, Weiss.. will go and scour the west side of Beacon. Then we'll all meet up near the dorms once we've either found him or we'll try again tomorrow. Sound about right?," Daikon said.

Nova chuckled.

"You know, it's scary how much you know me already and we've only known each other for a few months, Daikon.," Nova said.

"Heh, of course. I'm supposed to know you pretty well. We are partners after all.," Daikon said.

"True. Very true. I'd expect nothing less from my huntsman and battle partner.," Nova said.

The two groups nodded before Nova and Ruby headed off towards the eastern end of Beacon academy.

"Come on, Weiss. We'd better get moving.," Daikon said.

Weiss sighed.

"Yeah, yeah I'm coming. Don't wait up for me.," she said as the two ran off.

Jaune is seen in the distance as he sighs dejectedly.

"Nova and his team are so strong, I'm a bit jealous honestly. Meanwhile I'm just-!," Jaune says to himself sadly as he balls his hand into a fist out of frustration.

The blonde walks off into the distance, sighing at his own weakness.

The teens searched for their friend, but unfortunately were unable to find him as Jaune made sure to avoid being spotted by them.

The next day

Jaune is seen sleeping on his desk in his uniform with his head resting in his hands. The instructor, Bartholomew Oobleck was in the middle of his hyperactive lecture, constantly zooming back and forth while educating Weiss, Blake, Velvet, Daikon, Scarlett, Pyrrha, and a leaned back Cardin who were sitting directly behind the blonde.

"Yes! Yes, prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution--more popularly known as the Faunus War--" (zooms up to the front of the class and the map covered in papers behind his desk) "--humankind was quite, quite adamant about centralizing Faunus population in Menagerie." (points at the map of said-area with his stick, then zooms off to the side for a sip of his coffee before appearing in front of the desk) "Now! While this must feel like ancient history to many of you, it is imperative to remember that these are relatively recent events! Why, the repercussions of the uprising can still be seen to this day!" (zooms around the classroom more, sipping his coffee again before continuing to zoom and talk) "Now! Have any among you been subjugated or discriminated because of your Faunus heritage?", Oobleck explained before asking his question.

Some of the silhouetted students raise their hands. Daikon and Scarlett raise their hands. Seeing this, Velvet, after a moment, does the same.

Oobleck shakes his head in disbelief and sadness.

"Dreadful, simply dreadful! Remember, students, it is precisely this kind of ignorance that breeds violence!", Oobleck exclaimed. (takes another sip of his coffee) "I mean, I mean, I mean just look at what happened to White Fang! Now, which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorize to be the turning point in the third year of the War?", He asked. (a hand is raised) "Yes?", Oobleck asked seeing a hand being raised.

The hand in fact, belong to Weiss. Oobleck nodded and motioned for Weiss to speak.

" The battle at Fort Castle!", Weiss answered.

Oobleck nodded.

"Precisely! And, who can tell me the advantage the Faunus had over General Lagune's forces?", Oobleck said asking another question to see if his students were paying attention.

Unseen by the professor, Cardin flicks a paper football at Jaune's head, causing him to wake up.

"Hey!," Jaune said slightly miffed at the action.

(zooming over into Jaune's face)

"Mr. Arc! Finally contributing to class! This is excellent! Excellent! What is the answer?", Oobleck said pressing the blonde to answer.

"Uhhhh... The answer... The advantage... that the Faunus..." (looks behind Oobleck's focused face at Pyrrha, who coughs and motions to her lips as she gives him the answer) "...had over that guy's stuff..." (he sees Pyrrha cup her hands around her eyes and goes for the most obvious answer) "Uhh... Binoculars!", Jaune said.

While Jaune looks pleased with his answer, the class laughs at him and Oobleck (back at the front of the class) sips his coffee. Pyrrha sighs and slaps a hand to her forehead as Cardin pounds his fist on his desk while chortling.

Well he would've kept it up, had Scarlett not given him the stink eye for doing so.

"💢 Can it, carrot top!," Scarlett said legitimately threatening him as a very dangerous aura started leaking off of her.

Cardin stiffened up at this and started sweating while looking the other way, conveniently.

"Uh huh, that's what I thought.," Scarlett said smirking.

zooming back behind his desk,oobleck addressed the class again.

" Very funny, Mr. Arc! Cardin! Perhaps you would care to share your thoughts on the subject!", Oobleck said taking notice of the teen who was chortling after Jaune's answer.

"Well, I know it's a lot easier to train an animal than a soldier.", Cardin said smugly.

Oobleck sighed and shook his head again at this.

"You're not the most open-minded of individuals, are you, Cardin?", Pyrrha asked disappointed.

"What? You got a problem?", Cardin asked thinking he was being tough.

Scarlett snapped right back at him.

"Pyrrha wasn't asking for your stupid 'macho act' you doofus!," Scarlett snapped at him earning the laughs of other students.

Pyhrra put her hand on Scarlett's shoulder, giving her a look that told her to back down for now.

Taking the hint Scarlett nodded and she did as requested.

"No, but I have the answer.," Pyrrha said.

Oobleck was pleased that someone put an end to the bickering if only temporarily. He signaled for her to continue.

" It's night vision. Many Faunus are known to have nearly-perfect sight in the dark.", Pyrrha answered. (Cardin growls at the correct response)

Blake then spoke up, adding to Pyrrha's point.

"General Lagune was inexperienced, and made the mistake of trying to ambush the Faunus in their sleep. His massive army was outmatched, and the general was captured." (turns to Cardin) "Perhaps if he'd paid attention in class, he wouldn't have been remembered as such a failure.", Blake said.

Cardin stood up with his fist clenched, glaring at Blake. Daikon, who was sitting next to Cardin... unfortunately turned his gaze towards the bully.

"Mr. Winchester! Please take your seat.", Oobleck said.

Cardin refused until Daikon put him in his place forcefully.

" 💢 The professor said to sit down you idiot!," Daikon snapped before slapping the bully down into his seat with his tail. " You really are a fool. Learn to pipe down when you're told, stupid.," Daikon said before bowing to oobleck in apology.

Oobleck appreciated this, despite how it looked.

(when Jaune laughs at his tormentor's embarrassment, zooming up to him)

"You and Mr. Arc can both see me after class for additional readings.", Oobleck said (takes yet another sip of his coffee).

This caused Jaune to slump his shoulders in regret and embarrassment.

"Oohhhh...", Jaune said slumping his shoulders.

Oobleck then zooms away again and back to his lecture.

"Now! Moving on!", Oobleck continued.

Later...

After the lesson ends, Nora, Ren, Daikon , and Scarlett come out of the classroom only for Pyrrha to stop near the doorway.

You go on ahead. I'll wait for Jaune.", Pyrrha said to them.(they look back inside as the after-class talk occurs to the two boys)

Nora, Ren, and Daikon go on ahead as Scarlett also hangs back with Pyrrha.

"Scarlett, you can go with the others. We'll catch up.," Pyhrra said.

Scarlett smiled.

"No can do Pyrrha. Jaune's my friend too, so I'll wait with you alright?," The redhead told her.

Pyrrha sighed, there was just no convincing Scarlett otherwise. Once she made up her mind about something, she'd stick to it no matter what. That was one of the things she'd known about Scarlett ever since the two of them were little kids.

"Alright, but he may be awhile Scarlett. Are you sure you don't mind waiting?," Pyhrra asked her friend.

"I'm sure, Pyrrha. I don't mind waiting.," Scarlett told her.

Since it was evident, that Jaune might be a little bit, Pyrrha and Scarlett decided to quietly chat just outside the classroom in the hallway.

"So Scarlett, tell me about the new girl who joined your team. Aiko. Was it?," Pyrrha asked.

Scarlett smiled as she began to talk about her younger sister. Pyhrra could tell that, she really did love her sister and honestly.. she felt a little jealous of her.

" Aiko is a little shy at times but, she's a good kid. I'm proud to have her as my sister, helps that she's got a good head on her shoulders too. You'd really like her Pyrrha. I'll have to introduce you to her sometime.," Scarlett said.

"Yeah... I'd like that. I bet the others would like her too, especially Blake and Weiss.," Pyrrha said.

Scarlett smiled at this, she was glad that Pyrrha was feeling a bit better now. Plus, she did want her and the others to officially meet Aiko. She figured that it wouldn't hurt anything to have her sister meet some new people anyways.

"Alright, it's a deal then.," Scarlett said as she and Pyrrha shook hands to seal the agreement.

The two girls then decided to wait for Jaune. Pyhrra may have been soft on him, but Scarlett wasn't planning on being nearly as gracious to the blonde. Once this whole thing with Cardin was settled, Jaune was going to get an earful from her and she wasn't going to be easy on him while doing that either.

Meanwhile with Jaune and Cardin

Oobleck took a sip of his coffee and then spoke to the two students.

"You two have been struggling in my class since day one! Now, I don't know if it's a lack of interest, or just your stubborn nature, but whatever it is..." (takes a longer sip of his coffee) "It stops now! You've worked hard to gain entrance to this school, and we only accept the best of the best, so I expect you to act like it. History is important, gentlemen! If you can't learn from it... you're destined to repeat it. Pages fifty-one to ninety-one! I want an essay on my desk by next class! Now! Run along."Oobleck said.

The professor then zooms out of the room and past both Pyrrha and Scarlett in a green and white blur. Jaune emerges first, followed by Cardin who proceeds to knock him over. This illicited an "ow!" to come from the blonde making the bully laugh before he himself is flipped onto his back by Scarlett nonchalantly sticking her foot out and tripping him.

"You! What was that for?!," Cardin yelled.

Scarlett gained a shocked look for responding.

"I don't know what you're talking about. But.. goodness Cardin! You really should watch where you're going. Wouldn't want to end up with a broken nose, now would we?," Scarlett said subtly sarcastic.

"Why you little-urk!," He said going after her only to hunch over in pain.

Scarlett had her fist shoved into his stomach before removing it, so the bully could stagger away from them.

"Sorry, guess my hand slipped.," She said mockingly.

Cardin couldn't even say anything back because his stomach hurt so bad now. He just staggered away from them.

Scarlett spat in annoyance.

"Insensitive Jerk.," Scarlett spat.

Both Pyrrha and Jaune looked at her with shocked faces.

She looked back at them.

"What? Someone had to say it.," Scarlett said.

"😅 I don't think- you know what? Never mind , Scarlett. 😅," Pyrrha said.

Pyrrha managed to pull Jaune to his feet before speaking up.

"You know, I really will break his legs." She said. "If... Scarlett doesn't beat me to it first.," she continued.

Jaune sighs dejectedly when Pyrrha looks like she was struck by an idea.

"I have an idea! Here, come with me!"She said grabbing a confused Jaune by the arm as She and Scarlett led him down the corridor.

A dejected Jaune and Pyrrha come onto a rooftop of one of the buildings, with a clear view of the glowing green orbs in the central tower of Beacon.

Jaune then speaks up as he notices their surroundings.

"Pyrrha, I know I'm going through a hard time right now, but I'm not that depressed."He said saddened.

That's when Scarlett spoke up.

"You're not convincing anyone with that attitude bub. Clearly, something is bothering you. All Pyrrha is trying to do is help you, if you'll let her.," the ginger said.

"I can.. always just be a farmer or something.," Jaune said still dejected while looking over the edge of the railing he leaned against.

Pyrrha's eyes widened in horror at what Jaune just said. She then pushes him away from the edge before speaking up.

"N-n-no!"She said.

Pyrrha then continued.

"That's not why I brought you up here!" (the camera pans out to show the two on the roof as they talk with Cardin leaning in his windowsill right below them) "Jaune, I know you're having a difficult time in class and that you're still not the strongest of fighters, so... I want to help you!"Pyrrha said concerned.

Jaune was surprised at this.

"Wh-what?," he asked.

"We can train up here after class where no one can bother us!"She offered.

"You think I need help?",Jaune said upset.

Pyrrha waved her hands in front of her at this.

"N-no! No, that's not what I meant."Pyrrha said trying to ease the situation.

"But you just said it.," Jaune said back.

"Jaune, everybody needs a little push from time to time. It doesn't make you any different from the rest of us. You made it to Beacon! That speaks volumes of what you're capable of!"Pyrrha said trying to encourage him.

Unfortunately, this had the opposite effect of what She wanted. Jaune got even more upset and depressed at this.

(turning away from her, lowering his head and voice) "You're wrong. I-I don't belong here."Jaune said sadly.

"That's a terrible thing to say! Of course you do!"Pyhrra said back.

Jaune then turns around, now angry as he responds to Pyrrha.

"No, I don't!" (sighs as Pyrrha looks bewildered and he reveals the truth) "I wasn't really accepted into Beacon..." (turns his back to her so he doesn't have to face her)

"Wh-what do you mean?"Pyrrha asked shocked.

"I mean I didn't go to combat school, I didn't pass any tests. I didn't earn my spot at this Academy!" (looks at her again) "I lied! I got my hands on some fake transcripts, and I lied!",Jaune said looking down again in shame.

Pyrrha's eyes widened at this.

"What? But... why?",Pyrrha asked sad.

"Cause this is always what I've wanted to be!" (turns away again) "My father, my grandfather, and his father before him were all warriors! They were all heroes! I wanted to be one, too. I was just never good enough."Jaune continued explaining while looking away from Pyrrha.

Pyrrha then approaches him and puts a hand on his shoulder.

"Then let me help you!"Pyrrha said.

Jaune suddenly wheels around and turns on her with mad frustration on his face.

"I don't want help! I don't want to be the damsel in distress! I want to be the hero!"Jaune shouted.

Pyrrha reached out a hand towards her again but pulled back slightly.

"Jaune I-," Pyhrra went to say before being interrupted again.

"I'm tired of being the lovable idiot, stuck in the tree while his friends fight for their lives! Don't you understand? If I can't do this on my own... then what good am I?"Jaune said frustrated.

Pyrrha attempts to reach out for his arm and console him, but he leans back from her touch.

"Just... leave me alone. Okay?"Jaune asked upset.

Pyrrha then stepped back with a sad look on her face and Scarlett looking on disapprovingly.

Pyrrha then bows her head in sadness as she respects her friend's decision.

"If that's what you think is best...",Pyrrha said with a sad look on her face.

She walks away, her footsteps getting softer and softer until she leaves the roof. Scarlett stays behind for a minute and gives Jaune a disappointed look.

"You really are an idiot Jaune... But if this is your decision we'll respect that. We'll still be here if you change your mind.," Scarlett said also walking off.

Jaune paces a little until he hears a mocking laugh and Cardin appears on the roof from his window.

"Oh, Jaune..."Cardin calls.

Looking behind him at the one who's bullied him since day 1, he starts getting nervous.

"Cardin!"Jaune said surprised he was there.

"I couldn't help but overhear you two from my dorm room. So, you snuck into Beacon, huh? I gotta say, Jaune, I never expected you to be such a rebel!"Cardin said smirking.

Jaune paled at this. He'd be in so much trouble if word of this got out. So he instead took to begging Cardin to keep his secret.

"Please, Cardin, please, don't tell anyone!"He begged.

"Jaune, come on! I'd never rat on a friend like that!"Cardin said, obviously not at all serious about keeping that promise.

He'd just play along with it long enough to publicly embarrass not only Jaune, but Pyrrha, and especially Scarlett.

"A... a friend?"he asked.

Of course!" (traps Jaune in a headlock under his arm despite his struggling) "We're friends now, Jauney boy! And the way I see it, as long as you're there for me when I need you, we'll be friends for a long time." (finally releases Jaune, who gasps as he leans on the ground) "That being said, I really don't have time to do those extra readings Dr. Oobleck gave us today. Think you could take care of that for me, buddy?" (leans down to rub Jaune's hair and gets up with a grin) "That's what I thought." (heads back to hang onto the edge) "Don't worry, Jaune; your secret's safe with me."Cardin said.

Cardin drops back down to his room as Jaune rubs his neck in pain and worry before the scene fades to black.

Academy student dorms

Pyrrha looks out of the window sadly while Ren is seen loading Stormflower and Nora is jumping on her bed in the room marked for team JNPR.

This is when Nora decided to address the "elephant in the room" that everyone was obviously thinking about.

"How come Jaune gets home so late?"Nora asked curious.

Both her and Ren look to Pyrrha for an answer. Though, it's obvious that Pyrrha is a little mad.. or.. was it annoyed with their team leader. So Ren decided to answer his teammate's question.

"He's become rather scarce since he started fraternizing with Cardin."Ren answered.

Nora raised an eyebrow and gained a rather confused expression at this. That wasn't like Jaune at all.

"That's weird... Doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow? We need our rest!" (she proclaims this while twirling in midair so her back hits the covers)

Pyrrha was abit angered at this and everyone could tell that ginger haired gladiator was in a very foul mood.

"I'm sure our leader knows exactly what he's doing."Pyhrra angrily said.

Nora and Ren exchange glances, not knowing that Jaune himself is looking in through the crack of the door.

"Mmmm... I guess so."Nora said.

Jaune hangs his head and closes the door, just as a couple of voices interrupt his thoughts. The first was Ruby, and the second was... Nova? That was odd, what was he doing here?

"Hey, Jaune!" (startled, Jaune turns around to see her in her pajamas, and she giggles at his reaction) "Long time, no see! Did you lock yourself out again?"Ruby asked.

"Oh, uh, nope!" (raises his Scroll, attempting to laugh) "Got it!"Jaune said nervously.

It was about that time when Ruby finally noticed Nova. She had been meaning to talk to him before ultimately deciding to hold off on that .. for now.

"So! Where have you been lately?"Ruby asked curious.

As Jaune fumbled for words, Nova interjected for him so he wouldn't embarrass himself in front of them.

*sighs*

"Let me take a wild guess here Jaune... You messed up and said something you shouldn't have. Cardin has you on a leash after effectively black mailing you and worst of all...Pyrrha won't even talk to you. Now you're starting to think coming to this school was a bad idea and that you're nothing but a failure... I miss anything?," Nova said.

Jaune was shocked. How did- how did Nova know all that happened? Even Ruby was a little surprised that he knew so much.

"Um.. Nova, how do know so much about what happened?," Jaune asked.

Nova thought about how to best answer that question. He didn't want to seem suspicious, but he also didn't want to lie to his friends. The dark teen decided to just be honest with them to avoid any trouble.

"Don't tell Pyrrha this, but... Scarlett was really worried about her so she went ahead and told me what happened. I am her team leader after all. But besides that, I'm your friend Jaune.," Nova said.

Jaune was shocked by this. To think Nova and Ruby would go to all the trouble of listening to a broken record of a person like him...

"Nope!",Ruby said.

Nova also nodded.

This confused Jaune until Ruby explained. He looked at them in surprise. What did they mean by "Nope"?

'Nope?'", Jaune asked confused.

"Nope! You're a leader now, Jaune. You're not allowed to be a failure."Ruby said.

"Ruby's right Jaune, You have your own team now. If you fail, you'll drag your team down with you. And I'm sure you don't want that.," Nova said.

"But... what if I'm a failure at being a leader?"Jaune asked.

Ruby thought about for a moment before answering.

"Nope!"Ruby said back.

Jaune then laughs as he joins the two sitting on the floor.

"You know, you're not the easiest person to talk to about this kind of stuff."Jaune said chuckling.

"Nope!" Ruby said again. "Jaune, maybe you were a failure when you were a kid..." (Jaune groans and sinks lower to the ground) "... and you might've even been a failure the first day we met!" (he groans and goes lower still) "But, you can't be one now. You know why?"she asked.

"Uhhh, because...?"Jaune asked still confused.

"Because it's not just about you anymore. You've got a team now, Jaune. We both do! And if we fail, then we'll just be bringing them down with us." (she gets up and places her hands on her hips as she speaks) "We have to put our teammates first, and ourselves second. Your team deserves a great leader, Jaune. And I think that can be you." (she walks over to her door and opens it as Jaune, now slightly inspired by her words, watches her wave) "Have a good night, Jaune!"

She was about to go inside when she remembered that she needed to talk to Nova about something. Luckily, he was still there.

"Have time to talk, Nova?," she asked.

Nova smiled at her and nodded.

"For you, sure I always have time.," Nova said.

"Great!," Ruby said as the two of them walked off to go talk somewhere.

Jaune smiles at this. He liked seeing Ruby and Nova get along. That inspired him too.

With new energy, Jaune pushes himself off the ground and faces the door, ready to turn the knob and face his team, but his Scroll beeps and he pulls it off of his side to open it, seeing Cardin's contact relaying a message.

[On Scroll]: "Hey! It's your buddy Cardin! I know you're probably busy with that Dust project I gave you, buuuut I'm gonna need you to go out and get me a bag of Rapier Wasps." (as Jaune makes a terrified sound in response) "And make sure they've got some really big stingers! It's important, so don't screw this up!"

Jaune closes his Scroll just when it begins to beep again. Sighing, he wearily heads down the hallway and away from his room.

An overhead shot of a forest bustling with red leaves and gray trunks is seen as the camera descends and shows Glynda leading teams RWBY, JNPR, NDTSA, and CRDL through the area. She then addresses the group.

"Yes, students, the forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sight-see. Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so."Glynda said.

The group stops, and Jaune, grunting and carrying a large case with six empty glass jars on top, tries to catch up with them and ends up bumping into Cardin. The bully scowls at Jaune, who attempts to feign innocence by whistling tunelessly.

Scarlett glares at Cardin's team as she turns to her team's leader.

"Can I please punch them?," She asked.

Nova shook his head.

" As amusing that sounds, we can't. We'll just have to count on Jaune to get himself out of this mess he's in.," Nova said.

Scarlett sighed in resignation, she couldn't argue with that logic. Nova was right.

"Yeah... I suppose you're right.," Scarlett said abit dejected.

Aiko put a hand on her sister's shoulder, causing Scarlett to look at her.

"Don't worry sister. If they try anything... they'll get more then just a few scrapes on their skin. I'll make sure of it.," Aiko said smiling.

The others weren't sure why,but hearing Aiko say that definitely left them with a chill running up their spine.

Glynda was still instructing the group on what their objective was. She held up a full jar of what they were to collect.

"Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap. However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm, so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here at 4 o'clock. Have fun!"Glynda said.

While Yang Xiao Long and her sister smile at one another, Jaune attempts to (noisily) sneak away from Cardin to his team, but the blackmailer sees this and grabs Jaune by the back.

"Come on, buddy - let's go!"Cardin said.

Jaune miserably looks up at his team, where Nora and Ren are already walking into the forest's depths and Pyrrha is staring sadly at the scene. Dropping his gaze, Jaune turns and follows CRDL, to the disappointment of a sighing Pyrrha before she continues on.

Scarlett puts a hand on her shoulder, causing the fellow redhead to look at her friend.

"He'll be alright Pyhrra. I know you're worried about him, but things will turn around. Promise.," Scarlett said.

Pyrrha forced a smile and nodded.

"Yeah, you're right. I just wish there was something we could do to help him.," Pyhrra said.

Team CRDL is making themselves as comfortable as possible by leaning on stones, trees, and the ground while Jaune returns to the group with six full jars, setting them down just as he collapses face-down. The surrounding team gets up in response.

"Hey, great work, Jauney boy! Now that wasn't too hard, was it?"Cardin asked chuckling.

Jaune meanwhile was still on the ground, cross-eyed and sounding dizzy.

"I think I'm allergic to this stuff..."Jaune said a little woozy.

"Greeeeat, great, great. So, Jaune, I bet you're asking yourself, 'Why did my buddy Cardin ask me to collect eight jars of tree sap when there's only five of us?'"Cardin asked smirking.

Jaune was still exhausted and tired, but nodded.

"That is one of the many questions I have asked myself today, yes."Jaune said trying to catch his breath.

He addresses Jaune as he sits up.

"Well, come with me, and you'll find out."Cardin said chuckling.

Now perched on a hilltop overlooking the other students, team CRDL - plus Jaune, squeezed between Cardin and Russel Thrush - peak their heads over the crest and watch as everyone is retrieving their samples of sap. Ren, kneeling to collect it from a tree, passes a full jar to Nora, who "Mmmm!"s at the gift as Ren trades it for the other jar in her care. He turns back to the tree and starts filling it up while several licking sounds are heard off-screen until the camera pans back to Nora, now with an embarrassed smile covered in red and an empty jar in her hands.

"Cardin, wh-what's going on?"Jaune asked nervous at what the bully was planning.

He didn't like where this was going.

(still staring at the unsuspecting group sharply) "Payback."Cardin smirked.

widens his eyes in understanding) "Pyrrha...?" "Scarlett...? And Nova...?"(watches them gather more sap from a tree) "Wh-what are you-?"Jaune asked a little scared of what Cardin was planning.

(pounds his fist on the ground) "That's the girl. Red-haired know-it-all, thinks she's so smart. That other one... thinks she can boss me around! And then.. that guy! Thinks he can get away with calling me something so embarrassing like that! I'll teach them! Alright, boys..." (pulls out a buzzing cardboard box with a large "W" written on its sides) "Last night, old Jaune here managed to round up an entire box of Rapier Wasps, and now, we're gonna put him to work."Cardin said grinning darkly.

Russel grabs Jaune by the shoulder, who barely laughs in nervousness.

"Now, according to one of the essays you wrote for me last week, these nasty things loooove sweets." (Pyrrha is seen finishing her sap collection) "I'm thinking it's time we teach them a thing or two." Cardin said.

The members of CRDL get up. Cardin offers his hand to Jaune, only to painfully yank him up on his feet and shove the jars into his grasp.

"And you're gonna do it."Cardin said.

Jaune's eyes widened in horror this wasn't what he wanted.

"Do what?"he asked nervous.

"Hit them with the sap!" (leans in close to Jaune's face) "Either that, or I'll have a chat with Goodwitch, and you'll be on the first airship out of Beacon."cardin said.

Jaune looks down at the jar of sap in his hands and then up at the four grinning teammates waiting to see what happens. Jaune turns towards the group and aims his throw at an oblivious and smiling Pyrrha, trying to steel his nerves and shaking hand to do the deed, but ultimately steels himself for what he's about to do.

It was then, that he remembered Nova and Ruby's words to him.

Nova's voice: Because you're our friend Jaune.

Ruby's voice: it's not about just you anymore Jaune, you have a team now.. we both do! You're not allowed to be a failure!

"No."Jaune said.

"What did you say?"Cardin snapped.

(gripping the jar tightly) "I said... NO!"Jaune said in anger.

He turns and throws the jar at Cardin, instantly recoiling his hands to himself as he looks at Cardin's breastplate covered in sap. The other team leader, however, just looks at himself and laughs darkly.

"Oh, you've done it now..."Cardin said with his eyebrow twitching in anger.

Jaune humorously laughs to himself once more with his hands still raised in an attempt for defense as Dove Bronzewing and Sky Lark grab Jaune's shoulders and pull him in so his terrified eyes can fill the screen before it goes dark.

Jaune is pushed to the ground and groaning as he looks up and sees a sap-covered Cardin looming over him. The bigger warrior picks Jaune up by his front and grins while punching him back to the ground.

"You know that wasn't very smart, Jauney boy." (picks up a bruised Jaune again while the rest of Team CRDL watches) "I'm gonna make sure they send you back to mommy in teeny tiny pieces."Cardin says while grinning.

head hanging back) "I don't care what you do to me..." (looks at Cardin with fury) "... but you are not messing with my team or my friends!," Jaune said back.

(looking momentarily shocked) "What? You think talk like that makes you tough? You think you're a big strong man now?"Cardin said smirking.

Jaune smiles in defiance. An enraged Cardin roars and raises his fist again, but just as the hit is about to connect a small shockwave strikes him in the chin as he looks angrily at Jaune.

Nearby Scarlett had her fist extended outward while whistling.

"😅 And what part about not interfering didn't you understand, Scarlett?," Turuk asked.

"It was annoying listening to the carrot topped fly buzz around over there, so I just shut him up temporarily.," Scarlett said.

Others: 😅😅😅😅 "Yeah, ya think?"

Cardin shakes it off and roars to go hit Jaune again. This time the hit connects, but something else happens this time. A bright light shines from Jaune, and when the white fades from the screen, Cardin is crying out in pain as he holds his hand. Jaune, now back on the ground but completely healed, looks confusedly at his hands as they faintly glow white. While he stares, though, Sky Lark kicks Jaune in the back and gets him on his stomach, but he looks up and glares at the approaching Cardin.

"Let's see how much of a man you really are..."Cardin said obviously ticked off at whoever hit him the first time.

Just as he says this, a low growl is heard, and a surprised Team CRDL turns around and sees a large paw crash onto the scene, belonging to a huge Ursa Major with dozens of jagged spikes sticking out from its wide back. It leaps forward and stands over the terrified students, lifting its head in the air to smell the sap on Cardin's breastplate. It lands back on its forelegs and roars at Cardin while his teammates heroically flee.

"That's a big Ursa!"Russell says as he flees.

Cardin is rooted to the spot when the Grimm swings its claws and knocks him sideways, revealing Jaune cowering behind him. The Ursa continues to sniff, uninterested in Jaune and following its nose to Cardin. He watches at it towers over Cardin, who gets his wits and pulls out The Executioner only for the monster to swipe it away to Jaune's feet. He looks conflicted, wondering whether to fight or run away.

Meanwhile, the roar of the giant Ursa is heard by the members of Teams RWBY , JNPR,and NDTSA still collecting sap on the other side of the forest.

Of course, the saiyans heard it first due to their increased hearing compared to humans. They looked towards the other two teams just as they heard the roar.

(getting up, concerned) "Did you guys hear that?"Ruby asked.

"Yeah, we heard it Ruby. What do you say, quick detour before meeting professor Glynda?," Nova asked.

Ruby nodded, then looked to her teammates and the other members of JNPR who also nodded.

"Sounds good to me. Jaune may need help.," Ruby said nodding.

Suddenly, the remaining members of Team CRDL are seen running the other way from the roar through the other students.

(looking back) "Ursa! Ursa!"Said Russel panicked (he runs into Yang accidentally).

"What?!" (completely unfazed by his collision, she picks him up by the front of his shirt) "Where?"She asked him.

struggling and still running in air, but points back from where they came) "Back there! It's got Cardin!"Russel screamed before running off.

Ruby narrowed her eyes as she then relayed the plan. Nova and his team would back her up.

Pyrrha then dropped her jar of sap at this.

"Jaune!," she said concerned.

Yang! You and Blake, go get Professor Goodwitch!"Ruby said.

The two left to go do what they were asked, accompanied by Turuk as well. Nova told him to go with the two just in case.

(to Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie as she and Ruby activate their weapons) "You two, go with them! There could be more!"Pyhrra said.

Nodding the two did as they were ordered to.

This just left Pyrrha, Ruby, Nova, Daikon, Weiss, Scarlett, and Aiko. The seven then took off towards Jaune.

Cardin is attempting to run from the following Ursa, but it leaps over its prey and claws him away. He tries to get up and crawl away.

" Crap! Crap, crap!",Cardin said panicking.

The seven teens arrive at the scene and not a moment too late.

"Oh, no!",Pyrrha exclaimed as she prepares to leap into the fray to help Jaune.

They watch as the Ursa leans over the helpless victim, raising its paw and swiping it down... only to be blocked by Jaune's shield, Crocea Mors. He struggles to defend a stunned Cardin from its attempts to lean on him, but Weiss lifts Myrtenaster as she prepares to go help.

Daikon then holds out his arm to stop her. Weiss looks incredulously at the saiyan for stopping her from helping. That is before Pyrrha speaks up.

"(to Weiss) "Wait!"Pyrrha said.

Jaune takes the shield out from the Ursa's paw and slashes at its stomach, causing it to lash out and try to crush him. He rolls out of the way and jumps over its swipe at his feet, but he is unprepared for when it launches a claw at him in midair. He lands far away, yet is immediately back on his feet and passing Cardin as he charges again. The Ursa knocks Jaune behind it when he tries for a leaping attack, and he looks at the Scroll in his shield to find out that his Aura level is in the red. He grows angry again and starts to run at the Ursa as it also begins to dash towards him.

As they are just about to clash in slow-motion, Pyrrha sees that Jaune has left himself completely open to the Ursa's attack, and lifts her hand out to him, gathering dark red energy in her arm. Just as the Ursa is about to hit him, the glow surrounds Jaune's shield and makes it lift up to block the swipe. Jaune uses the surprise defensive move to lean on the ground, push his shield back up, and swing his blade right through the Ursa's neck. The head falls to the ground as the body slams onto the ground.

as Pyrrha's hand stops glowing and she smiles) "Uhhh... What?"Ruby said confused.

Nova chuckles. " Well Nikos, looks like I'm not the only one with a surprise trick up my sleeve. Am I now?," Nova says smirking.

Pyrrha chuckles and nods. " Right you are, Nova. Guess I shouldn't hid it until now.," Pyhrra said.

equally amazed) "How did you...?"Weiss asked surprised.

"Allow me to explain it to you, shnee. Ruby has her speed, you have your glyphs. Nikos semblance is polarity.," Daikon explained.

Ruby got confused as several invisible question marks appeared above her head.

"Uh... I'm confused. You can control poles..?," Ruby asked scratching her head in confusion.

"No, you dunce! It means she has control over magnetism!"Weiss snapped.

(still impressed, whispering) "Magnets are cool, too..."Ruby said her eyes sparkling.

This caused Nova to snort and chuckle. Ruby puffed her cheeks out as she glared at Nova.

"You're making fun of me, aren't you?," Ruby asked.

Nova put his hand on her head and ruffled her hair to calm her down.

"I assure you I wasn't making fun of you, Ruby. It's just.. I don't think anyone's ever looked at it quite the way you do before. I was just pleasantly surprised is all.," Nova said patting her head.

Ruby didn't know why, but she felt happy when Nova complimented her. But that was for looking into another time.

(noticing Pyrrha start to leave) "Wait, where are you going?"Weiss asked.

"Yeah! We gotta tell them what happened!"Ruby said.

"We could... Or perhaps we could keep it our little secret?"Pyhrra said.

The others nod to each other and follow Pyhrraback towardsthe other students. (walks away again as Ruby and Weiss smile to each other in understanding and a bruised Jaune sheathes his weapon before going over to Cardin)

Cardin, still covered in sap, looks up at Jaune as his savior offers a hand. Cardin smiles as he takes it and is lifted back up on his feet.

"Holy crap, Jaune!"Cardin said shocked and still really surprised at what Jaune could do.

Jaune then warns Cardin with a threat.

"Don't ever mess with my team - my friends - ever again." (as Jaune stares Cardin dead in the eye) "Got it?"Jaune said venomously.

Cardin looks intimidated, possibly even apologetic. With his order spoken, Jaune turns and walks away from a frozen Cardin.

Later that night, on top of the dorm building, a uniformed Jaune stands on the edge and looks into the distance at the green lights of Beacon.

Pyrrha's voice is heard as she is seen walking up to Jaune.

"No Cardin tonight?" (walks to his side) "I thought you two were best buds?"She asked smiling.

Jaune then turns to her.

"Pyrrha... I'm sorry. I was a jerk! You were only trying to be nice, and... I had all this stupid macho stuff in my head-"he said before being interrupted by Pyhrra.

"Jaune! It's okay!" (as they smile at one another, she adds:) "Your team really misses their leader, you know." (she begins to walk to the exit) "You should come down! Ren made pancakes! No syrup, though - you can thank Nora for that!"she said.

Jaune smiles back at her, but holds his hand out as he speaks up again.

"Wait!" (Pyrrha turns around, and Jaune looks sheepish) "I know I don't deserve it after all that happened, but... would you still be willing to help me... to help me become a better fighter?"he asked.

Pyrrha turns around so a worried Jaune won't see her satisfied smile. She goes up to Jaune and suddenly pushes her leader to the ground.

Jaune whines at that.

"Hey!"He whines after being pushed down.

Pyrrha is seen with her hands on her hips and speaks with an evaluation tone to her voice.

"Your stance is all wrong. You need to be wider and lower to the ground." (she offers him her hand, which he graciously accepts, and they continue to hold on to and grin at each other) "Let's try that again."She said.

The camera moves above the two and on the night sky over the school before the scene cuts to black.

End chapter.

Whew! That was probably the longest chapter I've written yet! But it's finally done! Next chapter will be a little bit of a lighter... writing wise chapter. You'll notice how I changed some things from the cannon of episodes 11-14 of volume 1 of RWBY. Kinda had to since there's an extra team a part of the main cast. So what did you guys think? Like it?
