Chapter 7

In all her time cursing her father, Adelaide never came to terms with the fact that she couldn't carry out half of what she vowed to do.

If Adelaide had attempted to overthrow the King, it would no doubt get her thrown into the latrines, or even worse, a death sentence.

Adelaide was going to need all the help she could get to fulfil this task.

Adelaide had decided to take a nap to ease her nerves, but sleep wasn't coming.

At times like these, Adelaide would seek her mother out and listen to her comforting advice. That was enough to get her to doze off most of the time.

But this time, it wasn't necessary. Adelaide was already out like a light. She certainly didn't expect to fall asleep this quickly.

The party that the academy had held was no better than staying at Filippa's estate. That might have been harsh, but it was the bitter truth. She was in no state to socialize with the others, not without Adelaide. She was thinking of what Adelaide's decision could be. She had assumed that the plan was to overthrow the monarch simply, but knowing Adelaide, she couldn't be too sure.

Leoric had decided to tag along with his sister's wishes. No matter how long it took. The only issue was if Adelaide would even carry out what she planned.

As risky as it was for him to teleport, Leoric needed the fresh air, especially since there was no one to escort him.

Life was hilarious sometimes. Especially when it tore him apart in the most sickening mentality ever.

Leoric almost wished he never left his estate because behind him was a horde of peasants, and that was putting it nicely.
