Chapter 98, The Night Has Begun To Creep In

"The rumors have spread across town already." Theo said as he came into the hotel room we were staying in.

"How? Van erased their memories." Leon asked.

"Someone must've witnessed the seen on the shores or the camera saw something." Van said flatly. "I can't delete the data stored in the cameras with short time so I just blurred them."

"Will we be fine I wonder?" Lia asked.

"I'll hande if anyone identifies us." Van smiled.

"For now, be careful and mindful of our actions." I stated.

"Yeah. For now, Liam, Reinhardt, Adele and Rachel will go out to scout information." Will said. "Andrew, Alistar and Alexis with me, we'll scout out the area."

"Okay then." They answered.

"Adonis, Zhen and Ethan, go with Arata to buy our suppies. Van, you with Angie, Mitan and Leon go around and gather anything we can use." Andrew said. "Theo, Lia and Lucas will be our look outs. Sound good?"

"Yeah." They answered.

We split up with them going around to gather information while we go to the market to buy supplies. As we went into the shopping mall, Adonis and Zhen immediately notice the new clothes on sale. Ethan grabs them and stops them in their tracks. We go to the groceries and buy our food.

"So, what do we need?" Zhen asked.

"Just these." I sighed.

"Canned goods and fruits?" Adonis asked a bit surprised as Zhen took a shopping cart.

"They just gave us this tasks so I wouldn't do anything." I sighed as we walked down the aisles. "We don't need the sweets and treats right now since we still have the ones we bought from Ruby."

"Hey, why don't we buy Arata some clothes?" Adonis asked.

"Why?" I asked.

"There's something I want to see you dressed in." He smiled.

'Don't even think about it!' Theo and Will's voice yelled over the communicators.

'Will... Theo... my ears hurt.' I told them.

'Sorry, Argent.' Theo answered. 'But we can't let Adonis buy you clothes. We'll buy them together.'

'Sure.' I answered.

As we finished shopping for the goods, we go back to the hotel and meet up with everyone. Before I can even sit down, Lia takes me by the hand pulls me out to the door and the others trail behind us as she leads me through the streets back to the shopping mall. We finally stop in front of the clothes section and Will takes me to the section with swim wears to pick our a design they like.

"Let's go pick one out for Arata." Alistar smiled.

After what seemed like an hour of changing from one pair to another, I choose and thin jacket blue jacket with matching blue trunks which everyone liked.

"What about you guys?" I asked.

"Oh, we already picked ours." Adele smiled.

"Let's go." Lia pushed me to the counter.

"You'll need these for tomorrow." Zhen stated.

"Why? What are we doing tomorrow?" I asked.

The next day, we were all at the beach. Apparently, per Theo's suggestion they decided to spend some time having fun as teens our age. Not to mention that today is Alexis and Alistar's birthday, so they decided to celebrate it by having a beach party.

It's a good thing the family owns a private beach here so we can have fun without being disturbed. There are butlers and maids to cater to our needs as well so we can just enjoy our time.

"Arata, let's play smash the watermelon." Leon says as he held a watermelon and stick, he was dressed in black trunks and was in a happier mood than usual.

"Okay." I answered. "Will, can you rub some sunblock on my back?"

"Sure." He answered happily as he rubbed my back with sunblock, he was dressed in deep blue trunks and a plain white shirt. "You do get sunburned easily. Be sure to stay hydrated."

"I will." I answered and went over to Leon who was holding a back.

"A little to the right!" Theo said as he fixed his whiet jacket, he was dressed in a green trunks.

"That's it, keep going!" Zhen called out as he was dressed in golden trunks with blue stripes. "Keep it up!"

"Hyaa!" Leon slams the stick down but... he misses the watermelon. "Did I do it?"

"You missed by a feet." Lia, dressed in her blue swim suit answered as Leon took off his blindfold.

"Tch." He clicked his tongue.

"Let's just split it." Alistar said as he held his sowrd, he was dressed in a matching pair with Alexis, an orange trunk with yellow stripes.

"Yeah." I answered as he tossed the melon into the sky and cut it.

"We have some watermelons over here!" Adele in her midnight blue shape of swimsuit called out.

"Let's play some volleyball!" Adonis who was dressed in his signature color of trunks called out as he and Ethan, who was dressed in red trunks inflated the volleyball.

"Yeah. Let's play." Angie answered as she and Rachel who were dressed in matching yellow swimsuist that were dotted with white.

"Count us in." Andrew who was dressed in brown trunks smiled as he came over with Reinhardt who was in red trunks and Liam who was in white.

"Let's go." I answered.

We spend the rest of the day, playing and enjoying ourselves and end the day with a party for Alexis and Alistar. Will arramged for cake and foods to be prepared and while the maids and butlers set the table, I sit down by the shore watching the sun set and cover the world in the shade of night.

During the party, everyone laughs and laughs, smiles and enjoys themselves. But for some reason, ba ominous feeling was whelming up inside. This may be the last time we can laugh carefree like this for a while and the last time I may be able to watch the sun set without any fear or care. The night, has begun to creep in.
