Chapter 43, Revival of the Beasts

"What are those?!" Karin shrieked.

"We were too late." I said. "The Capricorn was trying to revive the True Beast. It's used it's power to revive the other Lost Beasts."

"What do you mean?" Hiro asked as he stood beside me.

"The Lost Beasts that were sealed by Fleur a long time ago have all returned for this world to bring chaos and destruction once more." I told them. "We have failed our objective of stopping the Capricorn."

"What are we going to do now?" Angie asked when suddenly a beam of light shoots towards us. Alexis manages to block it and my eyes find the culprit almost immediately.

The Beast of Assault. Sagitta. How troublesome. Sagitta can take on any form of any long distance weapon. It'll be bothersome. This one has taken on the form of a sniper. The one wielding it must be... the True Beast, Sagitta. It's a man with black hair and black eyes with white skin.

"Take this!" Karin threw something at him but it was deflected back at us. Luckily Theo manages to block it. "What was that?"

"The Guarding Beast, Scutum." I answered as a man with silver hair and black eyes emerged in front of Sagitta. "It specializes in defense. What a bothersome group."

"Humans, we are the Lost Beasts, if you surrender you'll be spared." A man said as she emerged from the group. With sleek orange hair and white skin with golden eyes. Tch. "My name is Sirius, the One that Leads. If you surrender I'll allow you mercy."

"What do we do?" Angie asked me as I reached for my shadow. "Argent?"

"Aren't you getting ahead of yourself, Sirius?" I asked as I pulled my hand out of the shadow. "You need to learn some manners."

"Who's the brat?" A woman, with long black hair and white skin with brown eyes asked. The Hidden One, Muska.

"We've gone by many names, but the one you'd be most familiar with would probably be... Le Fleur." I said and they immediately glared at me. "Looks like you seem to remember it."

"Tch. The Current Flower is it?" A man said, with red hair and brown skin with black eyes. Orion, that one the Hunts. "Bothersome pest."

"That's right. The Tenth Generation Fluer, Dawn." I stated. Dawn, the name given by my mother and father. "Beasts of the Forgotten Era, though Fleur could not destroy you, I swear, I will bring and end to this war."

"Hmm... Interesting." A woman with long black hair and white skin woth black eyes. Virgo. "However, Orion, Caelum, kill him."

"Fortress!" Ethan shouted as a sword and Orion came charging me. He erected a high grade barrier.

"Mark my words, this war between humans and Chimeras, I'll end it with these hands." I stated and touched my own shadow. What I pulled out was something very surprising. An eight petalled flower.

"Foolish one, die!" Virgo said as countless lower ranking beasts swarmed from the opened portals.

"I call a pledge of light, the price has been paid in full, the petals have been scattered, a flower blooms at dawn." I chanted and my crest gpowed by. "Sword of Hope, Shield of Love, illuminate the forgotten past, ah, I can't stop, Grand Bloom."

Then, a bright light shines across the battlefield destroying all the lower ranking Chimeras.

"We'll pull back for now. But we'll remember this fight, Dawn." Sirius said and disappeared into the portal along with the other True Beasts.

"Looks like we got rid of them for now." I stated.

"What were those things?" Moyu asked.

"Arata, can you please share with us everything you know?" Lina asked and I nodded.

"Now is the time to unravel the forgotten past." I said. "Long, long, long ago, the Ancient Beasts ruled this world with their destructive power. At the time, only Priestess of Life, Fleur held the power to combat them."

"You said she was the one who sealed them away right?" Theo asked and I nodded.

"Fleur however told the people that she had only sealed them, she could not slay them. She said that when the Chimeras emerge, a person bearing a eight petaled crest would appear and defeat the Chimera." I continued. "Elias, the First Generation Flower and Brave then began sharing the power of Braves and Vi with the people across the worlds. He and his Braves sealed away the Chimeras once again."

"Then why are they here?" Karin asked mockingly. "If they were so powerful why couldn't they just seal them away for good?"

"Because the amount of Vi during their eras were too little and the Sacred Flower was incomplete." I answered her. "Right now, in our generation the Vi is abundant and overflowing. We might be able to seal them for good."

"Then do it!" She wailed.

"Shut it wil you!" Angie slapped her face.

"How dare-" Angie slapped her again before she could complain. "Who are you to hit me!"

"Angie leave her be." Theo said. "Go on Arata."

"The reason I can't seal them is because even my power is incomplete. That's why we were searching for the puzzle pieces and the keys." I answered. "As for the True Beasts, I'll leave them to the Cardinal Beasts."

"Your saying we aren't good enough to fight them?" May asked.

"I don't want to insult anyone but... even Will and the others need their Articles to stand on even footing with a true beast." I stated. "I'll share knowledge of the eighty-eight Beasts but be careful if you're going to fight them."

"We will." Hiro said and just then I see the sun set on the horizon.

The morning has come to an end. The night has begun. How long it will last, even I don't know.

"Night has fallen." Theo patted my head. "But, there will always be dawn at the end of it."

"That's right." I answered and gazed the stars.

I'll end here, with my generation. The war between the worlds and the Beasts. With these hands, I'll bring it to an end.
