Misunderstanding

I went back to my room and was still surprised by his attitude. And my brain was still on him... My eager wanting to know the reason for stopping me to enter his room started to rise more and more. In the meantime, I realized I haven't checked the notification that popped in on my phone on the flight. Realizing that I took my phone in my hand to check my inbox which I haven't checked for the last 2 days. I took up my phone and open the inbox. And freaked out seeing the massage came from the same account I blocked that night in Hawaii...

My heart skipped a beat and I was confused about what is his actual purpose...what does he want me to believe??? I have buried Launa with in front of my eyes... And how is it even connected to Launa's life or death...What if even it is the truth...

Without thinking furthermore... I blocked and report the number from my phone again...

Suddenly, a call from my very best friend Anna rang up...Best friend??? maybe that will be wrong...I am a little surprised by getting her call...She called me after a year...while we used to talk 3 times every day and met each other regularly. It's been a long time since we met or even talk to each other... The shadow of her face came to my brain...I accept the call and hold the phone in my right ear pressing with my shoulder...Before I said anything she spoke out.

Ana: "Hello, Emma?"

Emma: "Hello..."

Ana: "how are you?"

Emma: "Everything is just fine"

Ana: "A single misunderstanding broke our relationship like that?"

Emma: "no...That's not how it is"

Ana: "Things have gone too far...So many things have happened in the past few months...and you didn't feel the importance of letting me know anything. How could you do that?"

Emma: "In the past few months, I have left to call people, even meeting them without any importance.

Ana: "really??? I didn't expect to be the same as others in your eyes..."

Emma: "Do you think you can forgive me, Ana?"

Ana: "I have forgiven you a long time ago...but you didn't. You didn't forget anything right?"- She said in a sobbing voice.

I couldn't hold my tears. There was a burden on my heart ever since that incident...But today I felt a huge stone moved from my heart and brain...We both cried silently without hanging up the call...I broke the silence and spoke up...

Emma: "Do you still want to meet me?"

Ana: "I am craving"

Emma: "Let's have dinner together tonight?"

Ana: "I wish I could"

Emma: "What does that mean?"

Ana: "I have moved to Florida."

Emma: "When? I have never been informed?"

Ana: "You didn't inform me about Launa's death and expect me to inform you that I have moved out??? really?"

Emma: "Things are not always in the same way...Why did you move out"

Ana: "As you know Florida is my hometown...After Mike's death, I had nothing to do in Loss Angeles...I was in Loss Angeles only for him."

Emma: "I will come to Florida soon"

Ana: "I will be waiting."

Emma: I'll call you later...Take care. bye.

Ana: Take care...

She hanged up the call and I became lost in the past... I still remember the day she found her husband Mike cheating on me...We were dating for the last few months but how could I know Mike was Ana's husband when I had never met him... She found us together on 28th April...The same way I hated Mike as her. The same day he got his car accident and death as a gift from God...

The past is past...for now I will be concentrating on my future. I also need to find out about Launa's case... I have taken a long break from work...Now, I will be serious...Laziness doesn't suit my profession... -I smiled at my own thoughts for a while...

I decided to start office from tomorrow... My last day in office was the day Launa died. Suddenly, Tom called me from the back...Seems, he wants to say something. But looking at his face I found out he looks really nervous.

Tom: "Do you have plans for tonight"

Emma: "No... no plans...why?anything important???

Tom: "Can you meet me at Hollywood hotel tonight pm"

Emma: "Hollywood hotel?" - I was pretty surprised about what he asking for...But how could I say no...without asking any more questions I nodded my head to 'Yes'
